Now, I think Obama is a nwo minion as much as everyone else here, but being president of the harvard law review, teaching con law at harvard, and then becoming senator of illinois is a hell of a lot of accomplishment. He could have made more of a difference in people’s lives if he had stayed working as a community organizer. BTW, I am a law school grad from a top 15 school, so I have somewhat of a clearer perspective as to what it takes to make it into harvard law, much less become president of the law review. During this time, he was definitely putting in a lot of hard work. Like I said, it’s too bad he went to the dark side, because it’s clear that at the beginning of his career, he was filled with good intentions.

Nothing surprising here. Everyone dealing in the reality on Main Street knew these numbers would rise. The only ones that didn’t are the polticians, the gov’t. sponsored “news media,” the theives on Wall Street.
TODAY”S economy is the NEW economy of the US. 8-10% unemployment, insted of the historic 3.5%-4.5% UNDER-EMPLOYED in the NEW economy of today will settle in at about the same level as the unemployment: 8-10%. In other words, 20% UNDER and UN employed.
The once strong middle class is decaying into a new class of “working poor.” The rich will continue to get richer day by day. The poor will become poorer, day by day, and the “new” class of “working poor” will finance them both.
We will soon be on the level as any other 3rd world industrialized nation.

Breathing Easy – You are 100 % correct. Since college, about 15 years ago, I have worked in international business. For at least the last 10 years I have been reading many articles from economists and others in the international business field, about the outsourcing of manufacturing (and other) jobs from America, and the growing trade imbalance. Even back then, these people knew that if all the outsourcing continued and the trade imbalance continued to grow, that there would be another great depression, many homeless people in America, and America would basically look like a third world economy.
Back then people didn’t care, they were just happy to swipe their credit cards at Wal-Mart and buy the cheap made in China crap. Nobody wants to work in a manufacturing job anymore, they all want to be office workers. Guess what, without the manufacturing jobs, there is less need for the office workers as well. I may work in an office now, but have worked some tough labor jobs to pay my way through college (whse laborer, worked on a farm, etc)

So far $207B has been wasted or in the process of being poured down a sewage drain. $289B is left to be spent and there’s $213B in tax cuts issued or to be issued. never mind that this administration is talking about Tax and Cap, VAT tax, fast food tax, per miles driven tax… you get the picture.

Here’s what I think is going to happen: The rest of the $289B will be thrown into the economy like a fart in the wind next year. We’ll start seeing this influx of ‘mo money in the economy around the congressional primaries. This false recovery is going to continue (remember what Lindsey Williams said…). the economy will be talked up even more by the White House, MSM, etc. This will prop things us in time for the congressional elections. Jobs, meanwhile will continue to disappear. And a lot of jobs lost will NEVER come back (manufacturing). More “jobless recovery” crap.
And in about 2011-2012, the biggest bubble yet, the bailout/recovery bubble will pop. JMHO. Would love to hear others’ thoughts.

You are correct in assuming that the in few months before the “big” mid term Congressional elections of 2010, the economy will “show improvement.” the sheeple will blindly vote the incumbents back in. After the elections, and assuming the Republicans win enough seats in the Senate to deny the Dems the magic 60 number, the ensuing filibusters and grid lock, will drive the economy back down the recession tubes again. Get used to 10% unemployment, that IS the new economy.
Just depends on when the Communist Chinese and the Saudi’s wish to quit buying our debt, when they do inflation will come back with a vengence, the polticians will argue and do nothing, and American will sink further in the abyss of a 3rd world economy.
When the cap and trade bubble bursts, and make no mistake, it WILL burst, that event will be the end of America financially.
IMHO anyway.

The more people are dependent on goverment dole money and bailouts the less likely they are to protest being herded and led to the slaughter like sheep. As Derek points out, there is also the story of Gilgamesh, which comes from the Sumerian bible and is 1000’s of years older than the Christian bible. There is also the Hindu Puranic story of Manu, who saved mankind from the universal flood.

You can’t avoid all taxes that’s true but there are loopholes. A lot of them. I’ll just name a few.
Put your house, property in a trust. The trust declares no taxable income but only tax deductable expenses. Start a non profit organisation running under you personal name and again declare more expenses than income. Work for cash whenever and whereever you can and pay only with cash. Get receipts only for the purpose of tax deduction. Barter! Find like-minded people and start a barter community and organisation. You can exchange goods and services by a credit debit point system without involving money or receipts. You can call your currency sunflowers or beans. I o u’s can’t be tracked by the inland revenue if your system doesn’t show official currency statements. Start you own ’sunflower’ or ‘bean’ bank or whatever you want to call it.
You need a redeemable underground currency standard. Like one can of baked beans or one kilo of rice, whatever is easiest and then you call it a bean or a sunflower unit ‘officially’. It will work better the more people get involved. We have been brainwashed to use the dollar. But what is the dollar?
A big bullshit rippoff so the government can steal half of what we make. There are more ways but for now this is just some inspiration I hope.

People just remember when you go homeless YOU CAMP OUTSIDE & REMAIN ANONYMOUS; going to a shelter will get you labeled FOR LIFE in your medical records automatically mentally ill & alcoholic/addicted (Cop love shooting/tassering-to-kill those people) Once you have those labels YOUR LIFE IS OVER, no one wants to hire or rent an apartment to a CRAZY ALCOHOLIC DRUG ADDICT; what you’re not that? Yes you are….IT’S IN YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS!

I offer a suggestion or two on that…
ONLY get a down filled sleeping bag… they are lite weight, warm, and you’re gonna be carrying that damn bag with you, everywhere you go when your homeless. You don’t want to lug a 12 pound bag on your back, when a down sleeping bag will weigh in at 2 pounds.
Travel light.. carry plenty of socks and underwear, but again, travel light.
Ask questions in any soup kitchen you go to, and find the places you can go to eat for free… and volunteer to help, if you are able.
Dumpster dive for food, if possible… and set up a base camp where you can store some goods, that aren’t valuable enough for people to steal, but useful to you, somewhere slightly out of town, where you can get to them… but always have your crucial gear with you, in a backpack, etc… so if you need to get out of town fast, you can. Some of these items would be a couple of heavy card board boxes to keep you from sleeping directly on the ground… you’d be surprised how cold the ground can be, when you are laying directly on it. Old newspapers can not only give you something to read during your day, but can also be used as insulation from the cold, and as firestarters, or rolled into logs and used for heating and cooking period.
The best investments a homeless person can make, will be Linda Runyon’s books or playing cards, so they can always find SOMETHING to eat, and a good down filled sleeping bag.
People are also very wasteful, I have seen friends throw their change out into a parking lot, or directly in the trash, like it was worthless… and while your in the trash, grab a few of the replacement bags they keep in the trash can, they will work in a pinch to give extra insulation and water proofing to your sleeping bag… and have hundreds of uses… everything from water to collection to just carrying your stuff to the next site.

We were in Las Vegas last weekend and just 4 blocks off the strip are homeless tents & homeless veterans lining the the streets.
The cops are piling so many criminal sleeping outside tickets that they wiil never escape homelessness. In Las Vegas if you have a criminal record your life is ZIP! You have to pimp, sell drugs, hook, or rob stores!

Come on . . . with the Dow dancing around the 10,000 mark for the last 2 weeks , with the MSM saying that the depression is over , with the economy getting better with a 10% unemployment rate ( which is commonly refered to as ” A Jobless Recovery ) ? ? ?

If Obama would had used the Trillions of dollars he GAVE away to the very Corporations that put us in this situation in the first place and created some kind of deal that Roosevelt did after the Great Depression , creating jobs on the the aging and failing infrastruture of our Country , then I could say America could see a light at the end of the tunnel .
Instead , Obama is giving away Billions of dollars to corporations that are going under anyways ( i.e – CIT last week )
Wall Street and the wealthy are doing very well , but the wealthy only number 10% in this countries population . . . the other 90 % of the populatio are eating Top Raman 7 days a week . . .
