U.S. retailers face a wave of store closings, bankruptcies and takeovers starting next month as holiday sales are shaping up to be the worst in 40 years.

Retailers may close 73,000 stores in the first half of 2009, according to the International Council of Shopping Centers. Talbots Inc. and Sears Holdings Corp. are among chains shuttering underperforming locations.
More than a dozen retailers, including Circuit City Stores Inc., Linens ‘n Things Inc., Sharper Image Corp. and Steve & Barry’s LLC, have sought bankruptcy protection this year as the credit squeeze and recession drained sales. Investors will start seeing a wide variety of chains seeking bankruptcy protection in February when they file financial reports, said Burt Flickinger.
“You’ll see department stores, specialty stores, discount stores, grocery stores, drugstores, major chains either multi- regionally or nationally go out,” Flickinger, managing director of Strategic Resource Group, a retail-industry consulting firm in New York, said today in a Bloomberg Radio interview. “There are a number that are real causes for concern.”

I see the empty stores all over the place driving around Atlanta and I wonder “after the owner takes some cash out of the till for lunch, does he have a net loss for the day?”
I mean, there are so many strip malls and plazas with stupid $ stores and sandwich shops and cell phone stores, how are they making any $? Then they build more plazas that aren’t even half leased. It is crazy like insane. There are just too many stores and not enough customers.
People might become customers if they know they will have a job in the next 3 months, I doubt we will escape some real pain in this depression. Our economy became a bunch of white collar paper shufflers and blue collar walmart and burger joint employees. We can’t have a sustainable economy shuffling papers and selling each other burgers.

That’s right everybody go to just Walfart, K-Fart, Worst Buy and other places that prices are sky rocket high. Most of the stuff came from China such as the electronics and the Fried Chicken in a in the box under a heat lamp costs $5.49, they call that a deal and a little $50 gift card would NOT even fill up your refrigerator which means that you will need to substitute with a $100 gift card to get groceries from Walfart in the house for 2 weeks. The quality of everything in Walfart gets bought out before you get there and Walfart has so many people that the whole parking lot packs up quick that you cannot even get a spot to park your car. I just got a F2210 printer/scanner/copier that the printer is so cheap that the paper tray that closes up broke off so easily and technical support in India cannot even replace the paper tray on the printer. Also I had to scrap around for a USB cable since they cannot put the effort in to adding a USB cable.
Walmart shopping is indeed a joke from the NWO. Also I was there in the snack chips section and saw that the prices for potato and other snack chips were too high that no one cannot afford them and they are overflowing with them and when they expire they get thrown out and everyone starves and gets hungry cause of this screwed up economy.

I produce beef feeders, I sold a pen full of beef at auction for $0.61 per pound, I didn’g get enough money from the cattle to pay the property taxes!!! and the comsumer is paying 3X more than before!! Check out the hamburger you get from the market, leave it in the refrig for a week,,, it won’t spoil, it just turns green… What’s in there??? Go to a farmer and buy a beef and process it yourself, then you know what you are eating and the farmer will get a fair price,,, hows rib eye for $2.75 a pound sound?

GFP Radio, I’m glad you can get enough groceries from WalMart to last a couple of weeks, I can’t get enough food for my family for a $100 to last even a week. I also try to stay away from WalMart, their deals are long gone on most stuff, even when they have one of their sales they are still making 100%. I really hope they go down in flames on this deal, I am so tired of the big companies raping us over the coals after they have killed most small businesses in the country. So many people have sold out to large businesses and help keep their monopoly’s.

Stock up on canned goods, rice, beans, flour, sugar, yeast, anything made to last. also get non-gmo seeds. Even if ramen nodle soups are all you can afford, mix it with rice and it is a meal. #37 I have never been one to go shopping for the FUN of it. I hate it. But my daughter just can’t seem to get enough of it. She’s getting over that real fast, now though.
With days getting darker, and sadder, our family has turned off the boob tube. When we have had to go shopping, we have been looking for inexpensive board games, puzzle books, and books just for reading, while we are there. It keeps us busy and we spend alot of time together now. It’s great.
For the rest of you who are complaining about not being able to stock up, How many people are you feeding??? What are you feeding them?? I buy only what’s on sale, and i use coupons. Here in Denver, whole chickens go on sale for a $1.00 per pound. I have been known to clear out the case. This week boneless skinless chicken breasts are on sale for $1.59 per pound. We can get good beef for $2.99 lb. Canned veggies are $.50 a can. I like to eat organic foods and fresh foods, as well as the next, but when you can’t afford it, you go for the cheap but still good foods.
Our family does not eat as a pass time, Food is to energize the body and keep us functioning on a healthy level. To sustain life. Treats once in a while is a good thing. I can feed my family of 6 on less than $80.00 per week. But then again I won’t pay $3.00 for a loaf of bread, i make it myself.
One whole chicken can feed a family of 6, two meals. There is no reason not to stock up. The food prices have dropped from a year ago, and I do believe it’s the calm before the storm.
Buy what you need to keep you healthy, and don’t eat to FULL, only till you’re satisfied.
Geez, get real people. Hot pockets, chicken nuggets, and tv dinners, are not going to keep you healthy. Learn to cook, and save a bundle. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!

Wal-Mart is mass consumerism where the people run and buy mass quantities of low quality, slave manufactured goods. I bought a color TV a few years ago…it lasted one year. When I went to bring it back..they said…”we don’t carry that anymore!”….I left it in the return area…you know…where they have 20 people waiting in line….and SLOWLY refund the money. I didn’t get a refund…so I left the crappy TV in the shopping basket….and the lady said…”you can’t leave that here….!”…I said…watch me….I left it there…and vowed NOT TO GO BACK.

They promote things as if they are really trying to save you money but, in the end you have to spend more.. OH! and the question of why so many closed checking lanes…. They along with Target have been preparing for civil unrest and food shortages, those lines will ALL be open once things tank… You would be shocked to find out how much these large stores have planned for what is currently happening..

I dont understand how people can talk basically about killing themselves. I understand the NWO is trying to take over and obviously do not agree with it. I personally live in a mountain area by a large city and plan on getting all survival items put together and living in the mountains with a gun and other supplies to live for a long time. When I first started looking at this site 3-4 months ago, it’s sheer negativity and absurdity made me laugh inside. But I checked things. I wikipedia’d “bohemian grove”.
when the powerful people in the world meet in July every year, and worship before a God “Molech”… (beelzebub, aka Satan, Devil) it ought to make anyone who isn’t a Christian wonder how these people get their power!

Do you sense that mankind is being led by superhuman forces? Does anyone reading this believe in Satan? unseen wicked forces? Recall, in the Bible, when Jesus was tempted by the Devil after 40 days in the desert, the devil took him to an unusually high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. He then said….”I will give all these to you if you do an act of worship to me.”
Now think…if it wasn’t in Satan’s hand (for a season)…then why wouldn’t Jesus refute the bragging offer by saying it wasn’t his to offer…???
The world is in it’s last days…and condition will go from bad to worse. God’s Kingdom is the only solution….

Perhaps these 73,000 would still be viable businesses if not for GVt taxation on merchandise, employee taxes to GVT instead of payment directly to emplyees, fees to all levels of GVT, Taxation by GVT …

Thomas Jefferson tried to warn us all, we didn’t listen.
The Corporations are growing up around us, and the bankers are buying everything. It won’t be long until his foresight becomes completely full circle. The corporations and bankers will leave this nation homeless on the continent our forefathers conquered.
All because we “the people” allowed private bankers to issue and control our currency. And, we still do.
Until the Federal Reserve System and the 13th Amendment are abolished and repealed as the destructive system that is killing this nation, NOTHING WILL CHANGE !!!!!

This doesn’t even matter because on last Sat. show Kurt Wilson said that he confirmed that 90% of cargo ships had been parked in the oceans or called back to port. If that’s true then within the next few days or week or so, the store should be empty and full blown riots should break out. If it’s not true then he shouldn’t be saying it is and you will still have stocked shelves.

Riots won’t break out anywhere in the US.People are too lazy to do anything for themselves and have assumed the position that ’someone else will take care of things for me”….
Thank God I live like and where I do. I am not dependent on some store for food at a minimum..and the rest will hold out for a while.
It is my wish that the lazy people of society have to face what they are and then deal with the task at hand.

Satan, could not care less what you believe. By having no knowledge of the Third Most Powerful thing in the Universe, you give Satan what “he” wants and is destined to have for a while. The Earth. Satan exists in all religions and is not dependent on human belief, but believe as you will and better yet, “Do your own will”!!! The human species learn, it is impossible now!!!

Who will be trusted with your biometric data? How would the software authentication work? Who will write the software, and who will own, run and maintain the code? Whoever controls this biometric data will have a lot of power.
