Although somewhat belated, Infowars has decided the New Declaration of Independence and Bill of Particulars essay contest winners. Due to the overwhelming response and the quality of the entries, it took us a while to choose a winner. Please excuse our tardiness. Now, without further ado, here are the winners, followed by Short List selections and Honorable Mentions.

I was just wondering, has something like this been done before?
im not american, and it seems to me like these times represents a unique historical situation for your country. But still you seem to have a much stronger sense of individual freedom, than we do in norway where I’m from. Sometimes its hard to tell if the threat is real or if you are just being hysterical libertarians, you know, because of the cultural difference.(my apologies to all hysterical libertarians out there, im just trying to make a point)
is it an american tradition to declare independence, or would it take a real crisis of democracy for people to respond to a competition like this?
I hope i can get some sensible answers. because i am still not sure how to relate to what is going on, but i am truly worried.

It was similar conditions IMPOSED on the British “colony” of “America” that lead up to such actions over 250 years ago..
If you reserach US History.. The US was originally inhabited by Native Americans, it has beeen suggested that the Vikings and others ventured to the North AMerican Continent and archeological finds support those findings.. But somewhere around 1492 Columbus was credited with discovering “America”(which is false.. Columbus never actually set foot on the North American COntinent)…
Later to escape British oppression some supported an effort to esaape British subjection(and I am sure a few profitteers along).. sailed to what is now near “Jamestown VA..
I could go on and on.. Just research the History of the United States of America…
At some point the British King opppressed the new “American Colony” to the point where they had few options but to rebel.. and did so.. the initial results were not peerfect.. but were stable.. and slowly..once again.. GVt always returns to it’s natural order.. oppression…
Our GVT in the US has betrayed the US citizen for a long time.. now they are allowing us to be robbed through taxation and our GVT has been bought by a Central bank.. In fact the US no longer has a valid GVT in my opinion.. at least not one that represents the US citizen..

Congratulations the all who participated. I was entry # 79 (not very well done by me), any one wanting to use any parts of my entry has permission to do so. Overall it’s not very good, but there may be some parts some may find useful. #6, a college sounds like a great place for this, hand them put at the door of every political science and history class, along with alexes videos, and ask them to compare real issues vs taught issues.

Congrats to Alex Jones for FINALLY delivering and a BIG congrats to all the winners! What a shame that I was forced to notify the Attorney General’s Office in TWO states of potential fraud to get this announcement made…isn’t it interesting that the winners of the Videos STILL haven’t been named? But standing up for this part of the contest sure got the ball rolling, didn’t it? Winners, now make sure you get your checks too!
Guess Alex is just like anyone else who thinks he or she is above the law…he rushes to cover his ass and minimize his liability.

Let`s for the love of all that is good hope that our american brothers and sisters can wake up their fellow citizens and give the criminals that control all our lifes a run for their money.

A New Declaration of Independence Including a Bill of Particulars:
When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with their government, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature require of them for their survival, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the dissolution.

Wolflady I couldnt agree more! I think Alex was engaged in fraud as well. I have been writing and calling as well. Even if we give alex the benefit of the doubt, the contest has been run terribly. I think he intended to quietly forget about it just like he quietly pocketed all that money from his own moneybomb to himself without ever giving a public accounting for what he has done with the money. He raised $200,000 or so to start a TV channel. He hasnt even mentioned all that money. I think Alex does a great service but he should be held accountable for what he does with the publics money and with their creative talents in the form of contest entries. Im sure Alex and his staff will try to say that they were too busy to announce the contest. But we all know that he has had plenty of time. If he were to only look at two videos a day he could have already judged a winner. There are only two possible scenarios. One is that it is just not that important to him and that the contest was too much of a burden after he got all his free publicity. The other is that he did not want to part with the money and so quietly took down the contest. I am sure we all tried to give alex the benefit of the doubt for a long time. We all did. Week after week we all thought to ourselves, well he is too busy and he will announce soon. But week after week an announcement never came. What did come was silence and the taking down of the contest videos. At one point he had the contest narrowed down to three very good entries. I applaud your courage for going after him in this matter. Some will be angry at you, but I think when we are in the right and being taken advantage of we should always pursue the path of fairness and justice. In this case Alex was given a donation and with it he ran a contest. He in turn received hundreds of thousands of youtube and other internet hits as well as potentially a hundred or so usable web based commercials. To even pay for a few of these to be made with out of pocket expenses would total way more than the prize money. So for Alex it was a good idea. He got videos to help sell Truth Rising and to promote his website and the people gave their time and creativity for a chance to do a good service and possibly win some money doing it. The problem was that Alex cared so little for the efforts of his listeners that he basically attempted to bury the contest. Believe me, I have been listening to the show for the past month as he has ignored the contest. There have been so many parts of his show that he could have taken a few moments to give an update on the contest or to say thank you. He chose to do neither. That is fraud. I agree with wolflady that only now as the complaints mount and the calls for a fraud lawsuit build that he has reluctantly agreed to announce winners. And even after all of this he still has not announce the video winners. Alex likes his listeners to think that he has the weight of the world on his shoulders and we should all feel sorry for him. But remember, he is the one that has pocketed $200,000 of your dollars and never said a word about it. Before all of you jump to defend Alex let me say that I think he is great at what he does but he does have his flaws. This contest brought out them all. As a public personality you have responsibilities to your audience and to morally uphold ethical standards when running a contest, especially one in which you are the main beneficiary. Alex is not some saint out there giving his money away. Instead it is the listeners who decided to give their time and creativity away. They are the ones that should have been rewarded and not ignored. Again, I applaud your courage wolfladyk and I like you think we should hold all accountable when they are engaged in shady deals. Its time for Alex to end this contest and to make sure everyone is paid or the lawsuits will come and rightfully they should. What if I did this for my company and held a contest with a large prize and then used the entries for my benefit and did not pay or delayed the announcement till I felt like it. To those of you who entered this contest I know you did not do it for just the money and most of you did it for fun. My advice would be to never again enter another contest with someone who respects your efforts so little that they would delay the contest announcements for almost six weeks and resume it only because of all the pressure that he must be feeling. Or are you too mesmerized by Alex that you have forgotten that no one is above you. In the big picture the contest is a small event, but it serves as a microcosm of larger potential problems to come, such as the possible $200,000 moneybomb fraud. How many of you would hold a fundraiser for yourself, playing off the sympathies of the ron paul momentum and then not mention it again. If some of that money went to buy him gold, or new equipment for the radio station, or to pay employees, or to fatten his oil stocks, then that is fraud since that money was for a TV station that 6 moths later is nowhere to be found. Dont let anyone be above you when you have right on your side.

Not trying to bash Alex, I know him and his staff are busy especially since this contest fell on the same weekend of the DNC, but damn I heard absolutely NO mention of it in the past month or so.
There simply isnt an excuse for that, when ur on the air 4+ hrs a day u caouls at least take a couple minutes just to let ppl know they are working on determining a winner. Ppl are left with no choice but to speculate. It’s very discouraging and disappointing.

Well howdy, I know you care about Alex, he is a good man, but you are making the simpleminded case here. Ace is right. The contest has been run terribly. Not just bad but what was amounting to a level of fraud. I wish we could tell the bill collectors that we have been out with a bullhorn and dont have to pay our bills on time. All we are saying is that he at least could have given updates and ended the speculation and potential lawsuits. After all what about all the people who have jobs and things to take care of and families to feed who spent days making their videos, why dont you stick up for them. Louis Dog, Don’t be stupid, anyone who’s listened to Alex long enough knows he doesn’t engage in fraud.
For whatever reason (jealousy, maybe) you’re trying to discredit him and are doing it in a very credible way which looks reasonable to the casual observer.
It’s simple. Yes the competition was run terribly, because he didn’t really think it out, it was a spur of the moment thing and he got overwhelmed due to the massive amount of work he regularly does. Knocking him for this one little thing and making such a huge deal of it is silly at best.
He got there in the end and learned from the mistake. Give the man a break!

thanks for the history lesson. I think i have heard about that one great initial declaration before, but i do see your point. perhaps you didn’t get mine. Let me try to rephrase my question.
is it common to write NEW declarations of independence, in more recent times, for someone who is strongly opposed to the government, as a form of protest, but without really overthrowing the powers that be?
Whenever the french barricade the streets and burn stuff, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are having a revolution. But because of their revolutionary history this kind of protest has become more normal than in many other countries. this is simplification, of course.
sometimes people are just blowing off steam, sometimes they are truly forced to save themselves from opression.
i am trying to determine the real significance of a competition like this from an outside standpoint.

31 you are right about this – I was concerned at Alex’s “spur of the momemt” decisions about the contest at the time, but had no doubt he’d come through.
23 you want Alex to be accountable for his finances – ridiculous – he is running a business…and he doesn’t make you accountable for what you do or do not do to support his cause…or take accountability for smashing him on his own website…and I suppose you have never been late ithe anything…

Alex still hasnt “come thru” on the video contest (that I know of) – again I haven’t heard anything in the month+ since the contest ended. I figured he chose the winners already but didnt announce them or something, until I saw this today. I know most people here think it’s their duty to stick up for Alex but face it – he left everybody hanging with absolutely no mention of it. I dont hold it against him or anything and I certainly wasnt contemplating legal action but a heads-up would be nice. I’ve “been late” plenty of times in my life, enough to know that the proper thing to do when ur late is to notify people – especially when its a large group of ppl whos hard work is waiting on u

Alex said on the air that he had bitten off more than he could chew by announcing this contest. He told his listeners how there were many entries and how he had stayed up late so he could watch/read them all. Alex said on the air that he had bitten off more than he could chew by announcing this contest. I don’t know guys; This sounds pretty shady to me. Why does Alex hold this administration accountable for the destruction of the declaration and then hold a contest to re write it?
It sooo strange.
I hold the declaration as THE MOST important document in our history. It’s kinda of like asking us to re-write the bill of rights or the constitution. All these things have made our country great. What people don’t know/realize about all those documents, is that it was heavily influenced by France (yeah I know the same country that our government tell us to hate so much). That information is useful to know because it tells us that we have lost a positive influence in our time. France was great ally and aided our founding fathers, then a few hundred years later we mock and taunt the very same people who made our independence even possible, and for what? Because they don’t want to go to war. Wow….. A truly disappointing display of american patriotism.
Sometimes, people should realize that when people demonize ANY country for not wanting to go to war it’s actually an argument to manipulate the masses. Most people don’t realize that aside from Americans, France has had a major part of our independence, we shouldn’t hate them because they disagree with our reasons for war but take into consideration the fact that France might have a good idea of the implications of our actions. I personally didn’t like france when I was there but it wasn’t because of the people it was because of the weather (RAINED EVERYDAY I WAS THERE).
Anyways, I question anyone who wants to re-write the declaration of independence. Alex Jones says he holds these document sacred but if he’s asking us to re-write one than maybe he wouldn’t mind if the government re-wrote it too….. NO that would be taboo, no way could the government re-write it without major backlash. Hey you guys feel our declaration should be re written, don’t be shocked when this contest becomes a reality. I for one hold it as important as our country itself. If either were to be changed I would truly be outraged enough to leave. People have to realize that the laws of our original land shouldn’t be altered but enhanced, or tweaked WITHOUT distorting the original documents.
I love the fact that MOST of you don’t have an accurate depiction of american history, the facts seemed to get distorted over time but if people actually read real history books instead of a modern depiction of our history (it’s like reading the Cliff notes version Shakespeare simply not the same), they might get a picture of what America is all about. Don’t care who takes credit for the finding of America because it’s not the beginning of the story, our story started hundereds of years later. All arguments of Vikings and Columbus are simply irrelevant. The fact we’ve had a violent past and the future hasn’t been anything new. We still are the most violent population in the world, and we seem to be proud of it. I’m sorry but violence doesn’t make us great our ability to differentiate between right and wrong however can. We’ve been wrong a lot in recent years and is the direct result of our lack of a thoughtful resolutions. Everyone in the world realize the abilities we have. We can fight, and we can fight hard. One on One we are probably the strongest beings but with great power should come great responsibility. Have we shown the world that we are responsible enough to hold that power?
I don’t think we have, I think we’ve been waving our big sticks at the world for a long time now. I think it’s time for us to take a step back, and maybe just maybe this administration has give in us the justification for that. If you think there won’t be a backlash for the illegal war you’re not paying attention. Our financial state is the direct result of what happens when America goes to war with a nation without the support of our foreign allies. You could point your finger at whom ever you want but you can bet that history will be the judge, let’s hope were not all held accountable for the acts of the minority.
This is why impeachment of this president WAS so important and legal actions after this administration should be the absolute priority of all of us. If the international community doesn’t see us head hunting these guys we could have a major foreign relations problem.
Re writing any of our founding documents would be a waste of time, how about we re-write something that should be re written for example; THE PATRIOT ACT I & II. That is a document that has re-write written all over it and would be a useful document instead of wasting our time re-writing a document that is PERFECT.
I respect the fact that you think Alex Jones is your leader but all he does is bring the important issues to the table, he expects us to act appropriately. Unfortunately, he missed the mark on this one and has managed to legitimize the current administrations accusations that our laws have to be modernized. I for one beg to differ, and feel the appropriate response to this would be to simply say thanks but no thanks. The declaration of independence is and will always be the most important document in our history period. It would be like modernizing Shakespeare and we have seen the crap that comes from that!!!

Dan, I’m not whinning, I stated I dont hold it against him – I never heard Alex say that and would have gladly helped him grade it and in fact left many comment on the comments section when they posted the vids giving my opinion. How bout u try not being a douche.

The fact still remains that over a month went by with little or no mention since the deadline and the main 5000 dollar prize has not been awarded like I said, I had already assumed he decided a winner without announcing it publicly, which I was fine with. Get a life

i went through and have read some of the comments and I have to agree with Ace, Lou Dog, and Wolf Lady. I cant believe how unintelligent and shallow the reactions are from the Alex Jones fan club. Facts are facts. Also, if you have a fundraiser or a contest its like a contract with the people who donate time or money.
