In the distinctly militaristic propaganda here, the AmeriCorps organization City Year adopts Obama’s “change” mantra and remixes it with clips of Mohandas Gandhi, the Rev. Martin Luther King, César Chávez, and Mother Teresa.

City Year’s pitch is obviously directed at middle school and high school students. In the ad, young people are assembled on a parade ground in bright red jackets. According to a Wikipedia write-up on the organization, “corps members start their day in an event called unity rally. One aspect of unity rally is PT or physical training. Some of the exercises may include jumping jacks and lunges. When PT is completed, Corps members read their sites official newspaper, called Daily or Weekly Briefings.” Comparisons to the Jungsturm Adolf Hitler and Stalin’s Komsomol are unmistakable, especially in regard to the regimented physical training aspects of City Year.
It should be noted that AmeriCorps is fully integrated into the homeland security apparatus. AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) is part of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
Frank Morales writes (Homeland Defense: The Pentagon Declares War on America):
In the wake of 9/11, CNCS was fully integrated into “homeland defense efforts”. In March 2002, the Corporation issued a “notice of availability of funds to strengthen communities and organizations in using service and volunteers to support homeland security.” With an emphasis on “public safety” and “freeing up police time”, the grants offered under the announcement “are to assist communities in getting involved in the war against terrorism on the home front.” In the area of “public safety” the grants “will help provide members to support police departments… in tasks and other functions that can be performed by non-sworn officers.” Now mind you, the volunteers “are not armed, nor can they make arrests, but they carry out vital tasks including organizing neighborhood watch groups…” They also “organize communities to identify and respond to crime and disorder problems…”
Obama has proposed arming these cadres. Recall his speech on July 2, 2008, when he said: “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military.
“Since the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, the Corporation has made funding available to organizations whose focus includes homeland security,” declares the Virginia Commission for National and Community Service. “AmeriCorps engages more than 70,000 Americans each year in intensive service to meet community needs in education, the environment, public safety, homeland security, and other areas,” the IN.gov site states.

NCCC programs “may also meet homeland security needs, which the Corporation for National Service defines as engaging citizens and communities in preparedness and response to acts of terrorism and other disasters,” explains the AmeriCorps State Concept Paper Guidelines.
According to reports issued by the Department of Homeland Security, terrorism now stems from domestic “rightwing extremists,” not a far-flung al-Qaeda, and activities such as advocacy of the Second Amendment, pro-life activism, and the growing states’ rights movement threaten the fatherland.
As noted on Alex Jones’ Infowars and Prison Planet websites last week, Homeland Security has captured the heretofore non-political Boy Scouts and turned it into a paramilitary organization. As the New York Times notes, Boy Scouts are now training to disarm military veterans.
On April 21, Obama signed the “Serve America Act,” which will use $1.1 billion in earmarks from the 2010 budget to reauthorize and expand programs offered by the Corporation for National and Community Service. The “Serve America Act,” co-sponsored by Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy, intends to extend AmeriCorps membership from 75,000 to 250,000 by 2017.
“Although it’s likely that the recession and citizen goodwill have contributed to soaring numbers in national and international service organizations, it’s also just as likely that most people are just supporting a summoning from America’s new favorite man,” writes the OhMyGov website.

I’m not sure Alex Jones is innocent from inticing a violent stand though i mean check out his T-shirts, his banner on infowars and they way he carries on inciting fear and dismay. AmeriCorps is a great way to get fat, lazy Americans vested in helping to solve community problems, rather than be a part of the problem. AmeriCorps activities are as varied as the communities they serve and are not run in the manner this article describes. AmeriCorps is a great opportunity that many more young adults should benefit from.

Have to agree with you on how sick it is. There are ways to at least understand what is going on here, and to be ready for what is coming. I am just offering suggestions to anyone who will listen. Do you know why I cry, Pamela and showmebby? Because Jesus said the way is narrow that leads to life and few there be that find it. Find one that preaches from the WORD and check out the preaching for yourself. Reg. the conditioning: I too have noticed a lot of added military presence. I mean I live by one of the largest marine corps bases in the US and so I see enough of that as it is, but I am strictly talking about the media and pop-culture.
Its as if its cool to associate Jesus, a man who prayed for the very people who were killing him, with a military state that profits off of death.
Its funny, Jesus was who inspired MLK who said that we cant teach our kids non-violence until we stop fighting wars, who was the inspiration behind Mother Theresa when she said to a pregnant mother not to have an abortion but instead to give her the baby to take care of (which btw “pro-lifers” if you are going to rally around with bloody dolls in carriages at a protest you may as well be picking up stones like the pharisees did to a victim caught in the act of adultery. If you are going to tell a woman not to have an abortion then you better be willing to adopt that lady’s child, hypocrites.), and was the spirit behind what Gandhi said about an eye for an eye making the whole world blind (which is topically ironic since he was using that line from the Pentateuch, another topic altogether).
I digress, my point being that Jesus and His holy Church, (just so we’re clear) His united body of Spirit led believers and doers are not subject to mans laws–the same as saying that God is not subject to man, but instead man is subject to God. Our hope for change is found nowhere else besides the Church. Not in a state or a world government and not in a single man, cough Obama cough.
Its preposterous to associate those saints (MLK, Mama T., Gandhi, etc…) with a backwards understanding of power in which power is found in weapons and the threat of killing and death, NO! Jesus rendered death powerless on the cross and instead he demonstrated how true sacrificial love was powerful. How giving up the idea of personal possession can end poverty- and it doesn’t have to be at the business end of a gun to inspire that. People were created to live in community, sharing with each other according to the need, read Acts 2 and then tell me that capitalism is a Christian economic policy.

We are a nation full of MOSTLY selfish and materialistic people. I definitely don’t include myself in that because much of my resources are going to help the poor I personally know, who are in bad circumstances through layoffs, illness (not of their own choosing and not related to drugs or ungodly behavior). But God forgives, and so should I. I help those I can, but I also make sure they get the gospel. How they respond to it is up to them and God.
My point being, if we took back benevolence into our own hands, met needs and held people accountable for the wrongdoing that got them in trouble in the first place, there would be no need for a government-run (or rather, botched in mho) “welfare” system. Their answer to everything is to tax people and throw the money at the problems, and it has never worked. Who is to oversee what is right and wrong behavior? ALMIGHTY GOD. There IS absolute truth, and one either accepts it and conforms to it; or rejects it and suffers the consequences. His laws go far beyond man’s. The trouble has come when people have said like Satan “Did God REALLY say that?” They justify their sins based on what seems right to them. (Oh, I had to abort this baby because it just wasn’t “convenient” to have it at this point in my life.) It makes me sick to hear people talking about “choice”. The choice, to put it bluntly, was made when you chose to lay down and have sex without thinking about the consequences. There are many people who would adopt babies if they could.
This sappy “love and tolerance and let’s just all get along” garbage spewed out by the globalist frauds will not bring lasting peace. Where differences exist, there will always be conflict. True peace comes when we all measure ourselves by God’s holiness and standards, live up to it (through a relationship with Jesus), and THEN we will be at peace with each other because we’ll be at peace with God.

This is so sad. I see people acting as if the children are the enemy, playing right into Obitler’s twisted logic. Yes, it will probably come down to defending ourselves against children, but maybe not if we act now.

They’re out there in the real world doing something about the craziness. They’re staying on their jobs. They’re raising their children to hope for a better world by cutting off the TV and video game IV. They are spending time with them, and that’s the sacrifice they are making. Let’s face it folks, there is no new world, no new territory we can run to, barricade from the terrorist government and defend with conventional weapons. This satanic garbage is infiltrating everywhere and it has to be fought on the home front. Fight the fire with the fire of righteousness. Invest in the youth. That is the sacrifice of our lives that will truly make a difference. These young people will flock to Obama because he will tell them what their parents have not (for whatever reason). The reason this country is in such a mess is that we’ve bought into lies and failed to pass on virtues to the next generation. Only we can change that, but it has to start with getting off the computers and getting more than virtually into our children’s lives. “Quality time” is a lie. Even teachers who disagree are being forced to cram this PC garbage down students’ throats. Not only that, they have to be unarmed prison wardens who can’t even enforce discipline, and the kids know it. Government has turned kids loose in a candy shop with no boundaries on behavior and no discipline, and threatened to punish parents for reining in their misbehavior. The Bible says we hate our children if we neglect to discipline them (doesn’t always mean spanking). I also had to fight the indoctrination that went against everything I knew to be true. It’s a tough battle, and believers need to come alongside today’s parents and help in the fight. They’re going down. The government is smart, but it’s the wisdom of Satan. And temporarily, it seems he’s winning. He knows his time is short and he’s attacking on all fronts. We can’t hide ourselves in TV and other pursuits and pretend it isn’t going on because he’s not wasting any time.
Even should we be able to live out our normal life spans of 70, 80 years, how much of it is wasted time? We’re all tired. We’re all frustrated and stressed. But investing in the life of a child without a father – just attending one of their baseball games, taking them fishing, out for a burger and a short time of simply LISTENING – would mean so much to them. Instead of posting hours and hours on line, we have to get out there in the real world and DO something. Love is doing; love is demonstrated. Words are cheap.
What if 100 REAL men in a community decided to take 100 kids under their wing and love them the way Jesus would? There would be 100 kids NOT subscribing to the Obitler war machine.

I have made 100% agreeable comments on this site till now.
Most articles on Infowars expose deep corruption or deep danger.
But this article here… not much meat to it. The TV commercial shown above can be construed to be symbolic of something helpful and hopeful, or symbolic of something militaristic and harmful. But it’s just opinion and reading-into, and psychological tea leaf reading, either way.
Let’s save our energy for when we are 100% right. Americorps and its funding corporations are not inherently bad things. But as this article correctly points out, the power behind these forces could turn bad in the wrong hands. Particularly if Obama decides to expand on his call for civilian security forces. Wow! This commercial pisses me off! If I were still a kid; seeing all those influential people could seem great. It stirred emotions of exitement, and energy in me and I’m adult! After watching this very disturbing commercial of Obama’s so-called “Americorps,” I immediately recognized a parallel between the message it displayed and the Communist propaganda of the past. Please keep in mind that my opinion of Obama is not personal, he is a “globalist” and is controlled by the same jerk-offs that have controlled our presidents of the past. It is their agenda that I’m opposed to: Global Dictatorship, Total Tyranny, Implanting every living soul with a microchip and control every aspect of all life on the planet.
Here are some things I noticed about the videos:
• The colors of the uniforms: Red, Black and Beige are Communist colors. The Nazi’s and Communist nations wear these colors with pride and because they believe it gives them power.
• The Indoctrination of the Youth. Communist States have always targeted the youth because they are impressionable. The state wants our children to serve it. It does not want them to serve God, it does not want them to serve their parents….it wants them to Obey the State and answer to them and them alone! Ask Hitler, Mao and Stalin!
• “I am change. And this is what I wear” has got to be one of the dumbest lines I’ve ever heard. You have to be pretty stupid to believe that just because you put on a uniform that you “are change.” We can all contribute to this planet and change the world by using our natural talents and acquired skills, not by joining a “compulsory, paramilitary, Civilian National Security Force” that will be used as a modern “Stazie” to spy on neighbors and family.
• The propaganda mixes videos of past leaders that had strong ideas of individual freedom, not “compulsory service” to an Imperialistic War Machine! This is Complete Bullsh*t and a trick to make the young believe those leaders support a civilian militia that serves the state. They absolutely DID NOT and would be turning in their graves!
As the globalists/bankers keep crashing the economy, amplify the fear-mongering, take away civil liberties in the name of security and continue robbing the future of our children…they are trying to leave us with no choice but to join their system. As the private sector dries up and jobs become more scarce, more government jobs are becoming available…especially military service. They want everyone to wilt under their system, complete control over everyone’s finances, disarm the American public, inoculate everyone with unknown chemicals / viruses and send our children off to fight foreign wars based on “bogus terrorist attacks!”
If you don’t believe that this is happening, just do a little research, follow the money and you’ll find it’s bigger than what I’ve described!
Everyone should be worried what is happening and contact their congressman to express their concerns.
History is repeating itself on a Global Scale!
Too bad many are blinded by the “Fluff” strategically placed everywhere!
