AP declared Obama “Kenyan-Born”

What most people know is that the Associated Press (AP) is one of the largest, internationally recognized, syndicated news services. What most people don’t know that is in 2004, the AP was a “birther” news organization.
How so? Because in a syndicated report, published Sunday, June 27, 2004, by the Kenyan Standard Times, and which was, as of this report, available at

The AP reporter stated the following:
Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.
This report explains the context of the oft cited debate, between Obama and Keyes in the following Fall, in which Keyes faulted Obama for not being a “natural born citizen”, and in which Obama, by his quick retort, “So what? I am running for Illinois Senator, not the presidency”, self-admitted that he was not eligible for the office. Seeing that an AP reporter is too professional to submit a story which was not based on confirmed sources (ostensibly the Obama campaign in this case), the inference seems inescapable: Obama himself was putting out in 2004, that he was born in Kenya.
The difficulty in finding this gem of a story is hampered by Google, which is running flak for Obama: because if you search for “Kenyan-born US Senate” you wont find it, but if you search for the phrase without quotes you will find links which talk about it.

Readers should take note that this AP story, was syndicated world-wide, so you should be able to find it in major newspapers, archived in libraries world-wide. A Chronology of Deceit
One can now ask an important question which has not yet been emphasized enough: “Just when did Obama begin to publically claim he was born in Hawaii?” This question is distinct from the question, “Just where in fact was Obama born?”, and from the other question, “What do official documents say about where he was born?”
Regarding his claims, we can summarize what is known:
1. As of Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, Obama’s Campaign was putting out that he was born in Hawaii. This is known from the introductory speech given by Prof. George A. O. Magoha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, on the occasion of a speech given there by Senator Obama that day. (One presumes that the Vice-Chancellor was given notes from the Obama campaign, as is customary on such occasions)
2. From the newspaper reports above, it is clear that the Obama campaign was putting out that he was born in Kenya, or overseas, during the period of June 27, 2004, until January 8, 2006.
3. In October of 2004, during the ABC Chicago Affiliate’s broadcast of the Obama-Keyes debates, Obama openly admitted — he conceded — that he was not a natural born citizen. (C-Span aired the uncut version of the debates, which contained this exchange, in the second half of April, 2005)
4. It is known from a classmate of Obama at Harvard University, that while at Harvard, Obama at least on one occasion admitted that he was born in Kenya. (This friend went on record on a call in radio program in Idaho in early July, 2009)
If any reader can find a link which documents a claim to a birth location before Aug. 28th, 2006, which differs from this timeline or which supports it; please let The Post & Email know of it, by posting it in the comment section below.
In a follow up report, The Post & Email has published a brief analysis of the Google Newspaper archive, which shows that Obama’s story changed after June 27, 2004.

There’s also the issue that Obama accepted a Fulbright scholarship when he attended Columbia. You have to be a foreigner to get a Fulbright scholarship.
Anybody with any sense at all knew that this citizenship issue stunk to high heaven. If Obama didn´t have anything to hide, why did he refuse to have his medical records, college transcripts, and other relevant documents released. Why all the mystery surrounding the birth certificate.
Sooner or later the whole truth is going to come out on this guy and how he´s bamboozled the country and made a mockery of the Constitution.

Not so; you have it backwards. You must BE a U.S. Citizen to qualify for a Fulbright Scholarship. Of course, that Obama received a Fulbright doesn’t necessarily mean that he was a NATURAL born U.S. citizen. But yes, his Constitutional eligibility to be POTUS remains in serious question.

Actually, according to the Constitution, Even as a naturalized Citizen he could NOT be President! He has to be Natural Born! It is very specific about this, where it is vague in other areas!!
Natural Born means that BOTH parents have to be old enough to be classified as US Citizens, and the have to have lived x numbers of years in the States! His mother wasn’t old enough at the time of his birth, and his father was Kenyan! Which is where he was born!!!
Needless to say, this disqualifies him as President of the United States!!!

Both parents do not need to be US Citizens by birth, only by document. But he must be born in the United States and if he leaves, he must be a US citizen for 14 years with out leaving again which is called “establishing naturalization” along with his natural United States birth. If he was born outside US borders HE CAN NOT BE THE PRESIDENT.

there’s a bit of dispute whether both parents have to be US citizens. Natural-born citizen has never been defined by any court. If Barry is lying about his age and was born 2 years earlier but in Hawaii, he is ineligble, Hawaii was a territory then. Both parents have to be US citizens at the time he was born but because his father was Kenyan and subject to British Law, under the law at that time it makes him a British citizen. Actually according to the Constitution I do not think he is eligible to serve as president.
Dual citizens do not qualify. His father was a British Subject. I do not believe he was born in Hawaii. I think even if he was; since his father was a British Subject I think legally that makes him a dual citizen and that makes him ineligible to have his hand on the nuke button. I do not hear that brought up much though.
I know, I am the crazy one for insisting that this little thing like the supreme law of the land the Constitution (that g damned piece of paper) be upheld. I know, I am funny like that.

I recently ran across a piece where the democrats had I think submitted or at least printed 2 versions of their declaring him eligible to be their candidate. One had the clause in there under the Constitution the second one omitted that little clause. It was signed by Pelosi I think. I would call that collusion if what I am 98% sure is going on is going on.
Well, if the house of cards falls – and it should. That would leave Biden out – he is on the Obama ticket, Pelosi goes to jail. Who is next Speaker Tem Pore of the Senate I think?

his parents had to have claimed british subjecthood for him, or he had to keep it after his 18th birthday without formally renouncing it. There is nothing that says dual citizens do not qualify, if they meet the other conditions including natural-born and haven’t sworn allegiance to a foreign power, I guess.

If you’re going to be involved in government in the United States, citizenship is a must. To be a Senator or Representative, you must be a citizen of the United States. To be President, not only must you be a citizen, but you must also be natural-born. Natural-born citizen
Who is a natural-born citizen? Who, in other words, is a citizen at birth, such that that person can be a President someday?
The 14th Amendment defines citizenship this way: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” But even this does not get specific enough. As usual, the Constitution provides the framework for the law, but it is the law that fills in the gaps.
Currently, Title 8 of the U.S. Code fills in those gaps. Section 1401 defines the following as people who are “citizens of the United States at birth:”
* Anyone born inside the United States *
* Any Indian or Eskimo born in the United States, provided being a citizen of the U.S. does not impair the person’s status as a citizen of the tribe
* Any one born outside the United States, both of whose parents are citizens of the U.S., as long as one parent has lived in the U.S.
* Any one born outside the United States, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year and the other parent is a U.S. national
* Any one born in a U.S. possession, if one parent is a citizen and lived in the U.S. for at least one year
* Any one found in the U.S. under the age of five, whose parentage cannot be determined, as long as proof of non-citizenship is not provided by age 21

Read it like this:
No person except a natural born citizen;
OR [someone who is] a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution
shall be eligible to the office of President
Meaning that to be POTUS, you must be a natural-born citizen. If you were one of the framers of the Constitution, you could not be considered a natural born citizen due to being under British rule prior, you could qualify to be POTUS under the second clause “a citizen … at the time of adoption of this Constitution…”
The founding fathers had to grandfather themselves into POTUS eligibility because none of them were natural-born citizens, even if they were born here. Their parents had loyalty to Britain, not America. Not natural born citizens.
So, this being the case, unless Barry is somewhere in the neighborhood of 234 years old, he cannot qualify under either clause, making him an usurper.

It does. The constitution states the president has to be a natural born citizen.

Pure titanium won’t melt below 3,000 degrees-more than twice as high as Aluminum. As a dumb kid, I burned some aluminum & magnesium using gas as a starter. Different metals are used in Thermite, Aluminum being one. It’s been awhile, but I thought I did see an engine core… I do recall seeing a landing gear piece that tore a pedestrian’s leg off. Inasmuch as I have actually done some work as an “extra” in several different productions, including opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins (who, BTW, is quite a nice and pleasant person!) in “World’s Fastest Indian”, I should like to point out that the apparent talent of a performer is often constrained by: 1) The Director’s instructions; 2) The constraints of the nature of the part, as defined by the writer, before you even get to; 3) The talent of the performer. Admittedly, Ms Ryan is FANTASTIC “eye candy” (a “real knock out”, as we say, here in America), but I also think she played her “Star Trek” part quite well, considering the already mentioned limitations…
Her misfortune was to have married a self centered and perverted politician who obviously had no respect for either her nor himself, nor even for the political position he held: were I a wagering man, I would be willing to bet he married her strictly as a “trophy wife” to advance his political career. In this aspect, I think he was an utter fool and a complete idiot! People who don’t understand how to use Google shouldn’t make claims that it is “running flak”.
When you search with quotes, that is an EXACT MATCH of the phrase. Obviously, if the words “Kenyan-born US Senate” don’t appear precisely in that order, NO RESULTS WILL BE RETURNED.
If you remove the quotes -Kenyan-born US Senate- you’ll get a broad match against those words which will reveal more results. Google has operated like this for many years. It works the same way on every search.
It makes Infowarriors look crazy when they see conspiracies in technology that some people understand, but they do not.

What I’ll say is that I’ve run into similar issues (where an exact phrase put into quotes would not yield the correct results, but with the quotes removed the search would). Specifically this dealt with a similarly sensitive political issue from some months back. If you don’t think Google manipulates things a bit, you’re not paying very close attention. I don’t know enough about their internal operations to know whether in these specific cases there was manipulation involved, or just a basic sort of error.

How can you be SO SURE??? Do you have written proof of this, that SOMEONE checked? You’re partially correct. The DNC when nominating him as their candidate for the Presidency created 2 different copies to be sent to all 50 states declaring him as their candidate. The first stated that they found him “eligible” to run for POTUS. The second stated that they found him to be “legally eligible” under the Constitution of the United States to run for POTUS. BOTH were created by the same person and BOTH were signed by Nancy Pelosi. However, the copy that ALL STATES received was the copy simply stating that the DNC found him “eliglble” to run for POTUS, NOT LEGALLY ELIGIBLE UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES. Even if he was born in the US, it doesn’t change the FACT that his mother changed his citizenship to Indonesia, he even had a passport issued from that country. (You have to surrender your American passport to get one from a different country.) There is also the FACT that he was awarded the Fulbright Scholarship, which is only awarded to the foreign born, aka non-us citzens.
I agree that sometimes people on here go way off the deep end. But this is not some random conspiracy, this is all well documented evidence. Much of this info was even on his A&E “Biography” that ran right after he gave his infamous Democratic convention speech in ‘04.

There are a few problems with this story. The archived page they are talking about from the East African Standard for Sunday, June 27th doesn’t have an author… It simply says -AP… Every news article form the AP cites the author (I just contacted the AP at 212-621-1500 and spoke with Jack Sproge). Secondly if you hit home on that page it brings you to what is supposed to be the next day Monday, however it’s “Monday, June 26th 2004″ That day never existed. June 26h was a Saturday, the following Monday was the 28th. I hate Obama’s policies, and what he is doing to this nation, but we have to have concrete evidence, not shady, possibly falsified. If we want to do this we have to do it right or we will just be annihilated by the Nazis in Washington DC. We have to do better guys!

This sort of article is likely going to be as close as we get to a verifiable source due to all the intentional confusion created around Obama’s origins.

Just take a few moments and click around in it and you will see what I mean. Here we go again. The Associated Press (AP) has published previous articles and investigations that Obama (Mmm, Mmm, Mmm) is not born citizen of the US, rather naturalized maybe, and therefore not eligible to run for or be elected as President of the US.
There is a clear and easy way for this to be determined once and for all that should satisify the doubts of all. And that is for him to produce an authentic birth certificate. McCain did it for his medical records and Bush did it for his Natioal Guard service. Even Kerry produced the medals he threw away years earlier.
For 3M not to do so in the midst of this controversy, is tantamount to hiding the true fact that he isn’t a native born American Citizen.

To me, this article is more damning then the Standard Times.
It’s (seems to me) to be prima facia evidence in several areas
It mentions Obama by name and the school he attended.
“Indonesian born” is not natural born U.S. born. (ok a given).
It is from a Honolulu Newspaper, who would by all rights want to trumpet the fact the Obama was born in Hawaii. (hometown boy makes good, you know). {Yes, I said boy, I suppose that makes me a racist} to beat the band! but they didn’t.
Could the reporter have been that shoddy researching the biographical data?
And it really isn’t an Obama article, it mentions him in passing only.
The fact is, it doesn’t matter whether it’s Kenya, or Indonesia or Krypton, the salient point is it’s NOT THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Someone above has posted a CSPAN video proporting to have the exchange mentioned in the article but after watching the video I can say that exchange is not in there. Perhaps I missed this contentious exchange but given the overall tone of the debate such a volley is out of place and it seems to me most likely a fabrication.

This is news? He was introduced as Kenyan-born by one of the national news casters right before he gave the electrifying most speech of his life at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Alan Keyes also made comments about his foreign born status during a senatorial debate that were NOT denied by Obama.
A question: If a foreign born citizen can not be elected president, why are they legally able to run for the house of representatives? Isn’t the speaker of the house in line for the presidency if the President and Vice President both die in office?

So it is said that his mother is an American born in Kansas. Well, maybe she was, but she hopped around the globe more than she hopped around the U.S. After all, the gov. is saying Barack was born in Hawaii. I don’t believe the mother was on American soil at the time of Barack’s birth. Therefore you can’t just very well believe that his mother gave birth to Barack on American soil when she was so busily globe trotting. No one knows what to believe. How can you prove to me that his mother is a natural born citizen (by a birth certificate, that to could be fabricated). Here is the proof that Barack is not a natural born citizen. He can not bring his way of thinking and his ideal way of running a country here in America because his policies are very un-American. It just doesn’t make sense.

As Bat 890 stated. The big question to this story was the Chicago Judge who unsealed the Divorce Court Procedures was authorised to do so over the objections of both parents against the wellfare of the child!
Also, someone needs to show how George Soros had a dozen or two family members funnel mast amount of money into President Obama’s Senate campaign, and the connection between Rohm Emannuel, George Soros, Ari Emanuel, Michael Moore! My father who is now passed away, was an avid follower of politics and trends. Years ago, I specifically remember hearing Obama speak from the Senate on occasion, and remember saying to my father that I thought Obama would eventually become a future president. My father responded saying that Obama can’t ever be president because he was not born in America.
I remember how this stuck in my mind durring the election and I always wondered about it, giving credit to my father who was rarely, of ever wrong on such matters. It sure makes me wonder why can’t Obama provide an original birth certificate, since there are so many other people asking the same question: how does someone with a previously acknowledged, foreign born track record, suddenly become US born?
I guess it’s as easy as one, two, three, same as getting a fake bill of sale for a stolen vehicle, or an assumed identity for a false ID driver’s license.
America today reminds me of a stolen car from a chop shop, that’s on the road with a fake vin no. and I don’t know how we’ll ever get it back. I guess this is the “new” American way, where he who has the ability and connections, can get what ever they want. But, I still suspect the NWO ringleaders are holding this as a wild card, that depending upon the outcome and possible disasters with plan A, may switch to plan B and reveal Obama is not native born, to justify his removal from office, along with any jackpot legislation that turns their wagon sour. Afterall, they are attempting to rewire the entire planet, as if during a very brief thaw of the north passage, as America sleeps.
I do not like the way this is being done with all the jagged icebergs that place this nation at great risk, as we get turned into a foreign country to the delight of global planners with a pipe dream. But, that appears to be the elite contest we are all watching, whether anyone realizes it or not; can Obama get through the northern pass and overthrow the US Constitution??? – my best guess is, only if hype and global warming will allow it and so the Gods day nap and look the other way, but it is known.

Furthermore, I can only surmise that if Obama and his cohorts are successful, that by default alone, America is no longer a heritage rooted sovereign nation held together by it’s Constitution or any other laws on the books for that matter. That is, if Obama is successful, it represents the end of this nation, as an aspect of the global transformaion. What court can we turn to and it’s like attempting to sue a business for money owed, after it’s been liquidated, but falsely advertised and accepted as a seasonal sale.

For the third time I’m attempting to post a comment here requesting that somebody help me find this footage so I or they can post it to my video-sharing site.

I am not trying to pimp my site here, I simply want this footage available for all to see on the internet; I wouldn’t remove the video like youtube etc. would.

Geoffrey, I watched the debate quoted as containing this exchange between Keyes and Obama and it never occurs. If someone else has a video showing this they need to speak up. So far this looks like an urban myth.

Have posted that Andrew Jackson was also not a “Citizen” (as per ‘Gerris’ postings). He was born at sea and illegally changed his birth-date to become President, meaning he meets NO requirement to be a U.S. citizen. Also, consider the plain FACT Obama was granted a “Fullbright” scholarship which is only given NON-Americans. Why follow fools down rabbit-holes anyway? Let’s just ignore him and – as his “Oprah” ratings fade – so will this wabbit.

It doesn’t matter where he was born. The thing which DOES matter is that his mother was a US citizen. The laws in question relative to his being born outside the US allowed his mother to bring him back, prove that she bore him by documentation, then the US Customs and Immigration would allow her to claim US citizenship for him. All this stuff is on the web, one just has to search and read. The matter of his being and “Indonesian citizen” is something for Indonesia to decide in letting him, as a minor child, attend school there when his step-father was such a citizen and his mother moved there, too.
International law says a parent (or equivalent) cannot relinquish citizenship of a minor child. The child usually decides by age 21. That’s why BO could use an Indonesian or Kenyan or US passport to travel anywhere he wanted until he was age 21.
AMOF, any country can decide about their own citizenship status, and it doesn’t necessarily have any effect on some OTHER country who might already allow an individual to claim their citizenship.
So BO’s mother registered her child as a US citizen when she returned to Hawaii; then he was registered as Indonesian but didn’t give up his US citizenship. Another AMOF: Since his father (at least officially) was a British citizen-turned-Kenyan when Kenya achieved citizenship, he conferred British-then-Kenyan citizenship on BO at birth. BO gave up his Kenyan citizenship when he became 21. Presumably he gave up his Indonesian citizenship at the same time.
Let’s face it: He’s an American citizen! It’s other aspects of his character which might endanger us, not his citizenship! Let the smoke clear, and get on with attending other, more important, things. This dead horse needs to be buried!

And while I’m at it: This is my first visit to this site, and I just read some more of the older comments. One thing stands out very clearly, and that’s the filthy language! Some of the right-wingers here are just as nasty as the Democraps! That saddens me.
If people can’t have a reasonable discussion, complete with references, even if they disagree — they still need to watch their public language! I don’t care how good your argument is — when you start with the filthy language and absolutely rude manners, then you lose any aspect of being taken seriously!
So all you folks who like to call everyone, who doesn’t take your side at 100%, some filthy name, please just stop! Flush your mouth, get a grip on yourself, start reading some stuff which is “out there” if you’ll just try — get a little education, and then maybe you can make your mother proud! I must add that Leo Dinofrio’s case seems to hold legitimacy. Obama’s own site, fightthesmears.com admits that Obama was born with dual citizenship. The Constitution says he can’t have that status and be president. I think it’s article 2, section 5, don’t hold me to that. Someone can look. The framers found themselves in a similar perdicament as they were born with British loyalties, thus they put the clause in so they would be elegible for office. Paraphrased, it says that if the are american citizens at the time of the signing of the Constitution, that they are elegible.
