I think most of the comments miss the point. First in a surveillance/security society where cameras are everywhere and you are screened and probed daily it is natural to want to surveil those that surveil you. At every ATM there is a camera that takes pictures of those that use the machine and the area around the machine as well bank security cameras so you are constantly under surveillance in or near bank. The individual’s right to privacy is gone and evaporated under the Patriot Act. Since we are under the microscope without our consent then we should be able to put our society under the microsope.

It is interesting that the police can detain a private citizen wihthout formal charges or an arrest warrant, and just on the basis of mere suspicion. This is the true definition of a police state. The police must present formal charges to a suspect then read them their Miranda rights. I think the attitude now is “We the state can do what we want and you the citizen are our property and have no rights.” I think when every act is a criminal act then citizens have no choice but to live and act criminals to maintain their freedom.

My final thought is that what happened to just normal politeness. The Loomis security guards could have just him to not take anymore pictures rather threaten him with assault. Why this is a police matter I have no idea. I guess Bank ATMs are more important than preventing murders.

Social Science : 9-11 is the click in the head that provided the necessary attitude of such thugz as descibed above. Those that perpetuate 9-11 know damn well the mechanics of the ripple effect it causes. Those perpetuators (devisers that is, not the executers) have a holistic view of the world like no other. Compartmentalization is a wonderful thing for them.

in Belgium there’s also an increasing form of *security* — now we have them in all major train stations in red vest and black pants (army type) uniforms wearing a belt with all kinds of pockets (no gun). Most of them I figure out are long term unemployed on a program, but that’s just the idea I’m getting observing their posture.

This guy was asking for it. He knowingly put himself in an awkward position because of his homo behavior. Those websites are the same as customer service giving a location. The then dont mail a key and say here take a look inside. I’ll bet if they would had threw him to the ground, he would start crying dont taze me bro.
