SANYO to release new Pan-Focus range of CCTV surveillance cameras

Security Park | March 9 2006

SANYO have built their new PAN-Focus technology into a lens that keeps all objects in focus no matter how close or far away they are from the camera. The x2.6 lens depth of field is such that it does not require any manual focus adjustment to deliver clear images of the whole view.

The first camera that SANYO are launching at IFSEC 2006 with a Pan-Focus lens is the VDC-DP7585P, a 520 TV lines Day/Night vandal resistant dome. Housed in a tough die-cast aluminium enclosure and a polycarbonate dome for extra durability, the VDC-DP7585P is IP66 rated and has “Intelligent” backlight compensation and SANYO’s motion detection capability.

It can be surface mounted on a wall, ceiling or even installed on a roof top application. There are also options to install the VDC-DP7585P with either RS485, coaxial control, or UTP video transmission (NVT) network capability.

“Our Pan-Focus technology negates the need for a varifocal lens,” said David Hammond, National Sales Manager for SANYO’s CCTV division. “Installers will find cameras equipped with a Pan-Focus lens easy to install as there is no need for any manual focussing. Operators will enjoy the benefits of being able to remotely adjust the zoom and set-up menu using our VAC-70 keyboard.”

A high resolution colour version will shortly be added to the range as well as an internal dome.
