Britain and Washington’s last remaining justification for the unwise decision to invade Iraq is “terrorism”. Both countries’ leaders; President George W. Bush and the British PM Tony Blair maintain that the occupation troops should remain in the country until security is ensured and the Iraqi army is capable of defeating the “terrorists” they claim are behind the current chaotic situation in Iraq.
