An article in the Associate Press , relased today, states that George W. Bush has just awarded the Congressional Gold Medal to agriculture scientist Norman Borlaug , " whose work on high-yield, disease-resistant varieties of wheat is credited with starting the "Green revolution" and alleviating starvation in India and Pakistan in the 1960s."

"Borlaug, whose work is credited with saving up to a billion lives, was awarded the Nobel Peace Price in 1970. In 1986, Borlaug founded the World Food Prize, an annual $250,000 award to people whose work increases the quality, quantity or availability of food in the world."

But who is Norman Borlaug?

Truth Or Lies has uncovered some startling information regarding Borlaug's past.

Borlaug began his career as a microbiologist at DuPont in Wilmington, Delaware . This is significant because, according to an article from Mindfully.org ,back in March of 2002, " pulled out of its hybrid wheat programme, blaming limited market uptake, low crop prices and little opportunity for using them to deliver GM traits". Further, it states " Du Pont had hoped to use hybrids as the vehicle to deliver GM traits for better grain quality and disease resistance in wheat."

Digging further into Borlaug's background finds that he also has some "interesting" friends and partnerships.

The first notable, according to PoliticalFriendSter.com , is "The RockerFeller Foundation". " In 1964 The Rockefeller and Ford Foundations moved the Borlaug research on gene altered plants to a place where they face fewer challenges. They created the CIMMYT in Mexico."

The second notable is "The World Bank", " With the biggest right wing think tanks and chemical manufacturers supporting Borlaug it would have to follow, the World Bank would add their financial support for years of "Green Development"."

Other notables include: AgBio World ( The AgBioWorld 'Declaration in Support of Agricultural Biotechnology' has been endorsed by Dr. Norman Borlaug, who's businesses and USAID get millions from the chemical pharmafarmers.), Planet Aid Inc. Food For Progress ( Operating as part of Borlaug's Foundations to promote billions in Frankenfood soya, banned in the EU and other countries as USAID to starving Africans.), and Reason Magazine ( Reason featured Borlaug's "Green Revoloution" as it did other bogus science sponsored by industry front organizations like pro tobacco, Science in the Public Interest columnist Fumento.), among many others.

Texas A&M University, who is also listed as a "friend" to Borlaug, is also a cause for concern. As it turns out, Borlaug teaches at Texas A&M, according to another article on PoliticalFriendster.com. "He is a distinguished Professor in the Soil and Crop Sciences Department....where he was, and still is, a supporter of the 'gene revolution' and of CS Prakash and his AgBioWorld Foundation. Like a number of key Prakash supporters, Borlaug serves on the board of directors of the American Council on Science and Health which crusades against 'health scares' and derives its funding from extensive corporate backing (e.g. Monsanto, Dow, Cyanamid)."

It is interesting to note that Robert Gates, the current Secretary of Defense, was the former President of Texas A&M University. Gates also " served for 26 years in the Central Intelligence Agency and the National Security Council , and under President George H. W. Bush as Director of Central Intelligence , after which he became president of Texas A&M University and was a member of several corporate boards ."

Another interesting fact about Texas A&M, according to their website , was the $331,126 in Federal Funding for Title VI Development Projects they received recently. Acoording to the site, " The first grant, for $173,331, funds "Reaching for New Global Heights at TAMIU," focused on collaborative efforts between TAMIU faculty and Ph.D. in International Business students and business and scholarly communities. The program will provide student research fellows to local business and the United Nations as well as a Ph.D. students consortium. Proposal developers were TAMIU's Professor Tagi Sagafi-nejad, Ph.D. and Dr. Andrés Rivas, both of the College of Business Administration."

A final startling fact regarding Borlaug was his involvement in " shuttle breeding and multilocation testing wheat". This stems from his involvement with International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT) 50 years ago, according to an article on from the FAO Corporate Document Repository. His extensive involvement with this organization involved the growing of wheat and other foods in third-world countries.

Could Borlaug, the recent recipient of Congressional Gold Medal, given by George W. Bush, be involved in Eugenics and the push of Genetically Modified Foods? Does he have a globalist agenda? The evidence we have gathered certainly suggests so.
