Cindy Sheehan's Non-Blood Related Neo-Con Relative Sides with Bush over Her and Her Dead Son

Drudge Report | August 11, 2005

None of this matters.  The war is wrong.  Cindy Sheehan is Casey's mother, he grew in her uterus.  We guarantee you that she's in greater pain than the more distant members of her family. Political motivations?  She lost her son -- how dare these people? Regardless, blood is thicker than neo-conservatism.  They should be sticking with her, even if they agree with George Bush.  Family comes first.  Undoubtedly, these people aren't Cindy's blood relatives given how ambiguous Drudge is about their relationship.  Otherwise he would have said her sister but instead, he calls her an aunt. The letter came from Cherie Sheehan, and given that Cindy probably took her husband's name, this woman and the family she cites are not blood-related to Cindy. This is a classic deception.   But hey, keep it up neo-cons.  The more you attack grieving widows and the parents of dead service men and women, the more people have a chance to see what's under your mask.

The family of American soldier Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq on April 4, 2004, has broken its silence and spoken out against his mother Cindy Sheehan's anti-war vigil against George Bush held outside the president's Crawford, Texas ranch.

The following email was received by the DRUDGE REPORT from Casey's aunt and godmother:

Our family has been so distressed by the recent activities of Cindy we are breaking our silence and we have collectively written a statement for release. Feel free to distribute it as you wish.

Thanks, Cherie

The Sheehan Family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the the expense of her son's good name and reputation. The rest of the Sheehan Family supports the troops, our country, and our President, silently, with prayer and respect.
