Iran Accuses US of Meddling with its Internal Affairs

Anadolu News Agency | March 13, 2006

The statement sent to the Tehran Embassy in Switzerland by Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki says the Iranian minister blames US President George W. Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice for their statements on Iran.

Mottaki terming the explanations of Bush and Rice "provocative," said these remarks mean intervention in Iraqi internal affairs.

The Iranian minister emphasized all the countries should stick to United Nations resolutions in their relations with foreign countries, and criticized the Washington administration's $75 million allotment against the Iranian administration.

Mottaki added that the money earmarked for the campaign against Iran is also contrary to the Algeria Notice agreed upon in the first years of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
