Attack on Israel from Lebanon threatens 2nd front

JERUSALEM (AP) – Lebanese militants fired at least three rockets into Israel early Thursday, threatening to open a new front for the Jewish state as it pushed forward with a bloody offensive in the Gaza Strip that has killed nearly 700 people.

Two people were lightly injured, and the rockets that exploded in Israel’s north raised the specter of renewed hostilities with Hezbollah, just 2 1/2 years after Israel battled the guerrilla group to a 34-day stalemate. Hezbollah started the 2006 war as Israel was battling Palestinian militants in Gaza.
No group claimed responsibility and Lebanon’s government, wary of conflict, quickly condemned the rocket fire. Israel fired mortar shells into southern Lebanon in response.
For a second straight day, Israel said it suspended is Gaza military operation for three hours to allow in humanitarian supplies.
Before the lull on Thursday, Israel killed at least 11 people in Gaza, including five militants, raising the death toll from its 13-day offensive to 699 people, according to Palestinian medical officials. The offensive is meant to halt years of Palestinian rocket attacks on southern Israel, but with roughly half the dead believed to be civilians, international efforts to broker a cease-fire have been gaining steam.

If they opened up for humanitarian supplies in for 3 hours it was probably because of cloud cover that was delaying airstrikes and shelling.
I can’t belive The U.N.. The IDF has hit two U.N. run schools and a U.N. truck, not to mention the genocide and they’re still not doing anything. It didn’t take long for them to decide that kuwait had to be liberated when Iraq invaded.

Secondly a nations government dosent always represent its people as in your quote(The government of Israel is no more Jewish than our nations government is Christian). Your absolutely right we dont have a true christian government, it was built on christian values as was israel was built on jewish ones, but leaders from both countries have been far from what their people believe. Which means not all jews may agree with the attack just like not all americans agree with the iraq war. Be careful not to lump everyone together, because then you just sound foolish. Not everything is a NWO conspiracy, Arron Russo said in an interveiw with AJ that Nick Rockefeller said that the israel-palistinian confict is one thing they have no control over and cannot find a solution to. I really want this all to end.
Because I’m not missing an AMAZING trip to Lebanon over a war that once happened in 2006, which was absolutely stupid.
I’m not against Israel, but if there’s two countries going against it, and half the world is against it right now in this little war they’re having, they’re clearly doing something wrong.
And to those who said “they’re just defending themselves”, they wouldn’t have anything to defend themselves from if they didn’t do whatever they did.
ugh this is SO stupid.
