A West Michigan woman says the state is threatening her with fines and possibly jail time for babysitting her neighbors’ children.
Lisa Snyder of Middleville says her neighborhood school bus stop is right in front of her home. It arrives after her neighbors need to be at work, so she watches three of their children for 15-40 minutes until the bus comes.
The Department of Human Services received a complaint that Snyder was operating an illegal child care home. DHS contacted Snyder and told her to get licensed, stop watching her neighbors’ kids, or face the consequences.
“It’s ridiculous.” says Snyder. “We are friends helping friends!” She added that she accepts no money for babysitting.
Mindy Rose, who leaves her 5-year-old with Snyder, agrees. “She’s a friend… I trust her.”
State Representative Brian Calley is drafting legislation that would exempt people who agree to care for non-dependent children from daycare rules as long as they’re not engaged in a business.
“We have babysitting police running around this state violating people, threatening to put them in jail or fine them $1,000 for helping their neighbor (that) is truly outrageous” says Rep. Calley.
A DHS spokesperson would not comment on the specifics of the case but says they have no choice but to comply with state law, which is designed to protect Michigan children.

What is the biggest tool that the NWO ( New World Order ) has and uses against us every day? Answer. Mainstream media and the lies they spew. How can we fight this injustice? If you believe that the state should have to license every member of a community that wants to help eachother then you are nuts. THis is anti community bullshit. I will decide if I trust my friends enough to let them watch my kids…not the state.
If i borrow a cup of sugar from my neighbor should the state be allowed to conduct a food safety inspection in their kitchen? My neighbor offered me a beer the other day…and without a liquor license. I guess im lucky to be alive.

Sanity, your mom is right. If this woman is a child molester, she should be prosecuted as such. She’s harmed no one, probably just pissed off some day care center who wants to be paid for watching those kids.

You must be kidding. Michigan Governor, Granholm, authorized the early release of 4000 Michigan prisoners. Over half the felons released are baby rapers! Stop believing what government wants to help. Government wants CONTROL!
ren: You are right, Michigan is collecting information from law abiding citizens. In the year 2006 Michigan Child Care licensing required knowing in writing with a drawing, where guns were located in the licensees home. It was a requirement to obtain or renew a license. The requirement was voided when several licensed child care providers were robbed of weapons by an intruder with information from the state data base.

This state and this country is not trying to keep child molesters and rapist from our children; if they were they would really be doing something about it; and not by infringing on the rest of our rights.
The state does not need these daycare licenses and fees to prevent child molesters and rapists from our children: this is what they need for that:
ONE: Define the law better! I am sorry, but a teenage boy and teenage girl having sex may be morally wrong, but when they both consent, and it is just the parents tee’d off about it, the teenage boy should not be labeled CSC the rest of his life. If it was not consentual, or with another party too young or mentally impaired and unable to give consent, then I consider it to be child molest/rape. In some states peeing outside can get you labeled CSC. That’s rediculous. So define the law.
SECOND: True cases of child molesting or rape=EXECUTION.
People may thing I’m harsh, but I don’t. There is no rehabilitating these people, they all prove once they get the chance they offend again! Quit taking away good citizens rights; quit letting these sicko’s get away with it; quit wasting tax payers money on them…EXECUTE them. If we killed them off then our children are safer! And if anyone on here thinks I’m too harsh…then your full of it…!

Wanted to mention one more thing… I have been telling co workers for some time now about all of the things going on in our country right now, and MANY have begun to wake up. I have over 30 employees at my company now that all look to me to share info I have read. Now THEY are even starting to find articles and share them with me and others.
As an example, I hadn’t read this story this morning, and then one of my co workers forwarded me the story… this was his comment…
“This county is becoming more and more a commuinst country. I am ready to move out of here. This is BS.”
Just more example that if we talk about it and educate others, WE CAN WAKE THEM UP!!!

Nobody needs to leave the country. They just need to move to Idaho…. Idaho is were I am now. It was hard for me to believe a lot of the NWO stuff and what Alex talks about. I have researched many of the topics here and have verified most. It was hard because I don’t experience anything like what happens elsewhere in the US. Idaho is behind the times in many ways, some good, some bad. It’s just farmland and casual living out here. There are many areas that have all the creature comforts you would find in a big city, it’s just not as booming. No NWO influence here in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I can walk into any gunstore and buy an assault rifle, and walk out with it and bullets in about 20 minutes… Come to Idaho before you flee to Argentina, or anywhere else. It will be easier to adjust. When Marshall Law happens, Idaho will be home base to many a patriot.

Well actually the DHS PROVED it is NOT about protecting the children if the comment mentioned by this mother is correct,when she said she was told that if the weather was bad the parents need to provide the kids with an UMBRELLA.

I homeschool in MI as well. we are lucky enough to live in one of the few states that acctually has a law specifically allowing us to homeschool. the problem is that prosecutors dont know the law.
Watch for nosey neighbors ratting you out (like effing nazi’s) and the authorities not knowing the law. If you have read the law and understand it (which I highly recomend) then you allready know more than your local school administrators and Protective Services combined.
I recomend joining Home School Legal Defense Association. You need lawyers to fight lawyers. Even if you dont join their web site has lots of helpfull info including specifics about the law

You know why this is happening? Most of the DHS people don’t know what it’s like to be loved. It seems that certain experiences predispose people to enter that profession under the guise of not allowing what happened to them to happen to other children. Or certain personalities. They weren’t treated well themselves, so they assume that NO ONE has the capability to raise children in a loving home without abuse. They couldn’t control their own lives, so now they have to control other people’s just to have some meaning in their sad existences. The only way they can feel good about themselves is to put others down. Troublemakers to the max! It’s about drama. They have decided that parents can’t be trusted to raise their own kids and have to put their noses into everyone’s business. The tragedy is that so many children are returned to homes that are NOT safe and the kids end up drowned in the toilet. Then they take kids from the homes of good parents and put them in foster care where they end up being neglected, abused, etc. I’m not bashing foster parents; there are good ones out there. But there are also horror stories. In most cases, no one can love a child as well as its own parent. The govt has engineered society and economics in such a way that both parents have to work (in most cases) to keep their heads above water. Then day care centers that receive govt licensing and sometimes funding, must operate according to govt regulations. That includes how the children are treated and what they are taught. The beginning of indoctrination.
Whatever it takes, children are precious. They should be raised in a stable home environment and these parents deserve all the help they can get, from those of us willing to pitch in. May God bless Mrs. Snyder abundantly for her open home and heart, and may He protect her from unjust intimidation and/or lawsuits. May He shut the mouths of lions for her. AMEN!

Really? I’ve read that they have some of the best laws for Homeschooling in the country, in fact one of the most lenient ones ever created was done in MI in the early 80’s I think. You don’t have to report to any school that you want to homeschool, you can just start doing it without asking for permission unlike almost all other states, that might have been eroded since then but a recent study ranked the state in the top 15 free states in the country, as far as taxes laws and regulations go, but it sounds like the past 10-15 years have been ugly!

Wake up People…My kids were taken by the state. They ripped my baby boy right out of my arms at 13 days old. They put my babies in foster homes where they abused my oldest daughter and put her on drugs against my wishes.
I had to jump through their hoops by taking parenting classes, therapy, etc. to get my kids back. I am a loving mom and have never abused my kids yet CPS came to my house with no warrant and a police officer and stole my baby!!!
It took me 18months to get my kids back and NO ONE could help me, no one would listen to me. No one believed me and no one wanted to believe me.

In all fairness, I read this on another site, also, and the local government people are on record as working to change this law since it is insane and penalizes working families and people who work together to help each other.

The cause of this is the Government wants to train you all to accept that they own your children, and you do not.
Therefore only “they” can tell you what they are going to “allow” you to do, and you must “accept” that raising your own kids is a “privilege” not a right.
There is also a quadruple whammy contained in all this : 1) They want taxes from you for letting your tried and trusted friends and relatives watch your kids and keep them safe while you are away at work because it is “unauthorized daycare”. It has to be “authorized and taxed”. Then they are happy. 2) They would rather your kids be unattended rather than attended because then you can be charged with negligence as unfit parents and your kids taken away if anything happens to them while they are unprotected (in other words the state becomes their ward and your are criminalized) 3) Your kids can be more easily indoctrinated by the state rather than you and your friends who have solid core values because your influence on them is lessened and they are more under the influence of others, no-one or the state, not you. and 4) Your neighbours are being trained to falsely accuse, intimidate and bully you (or anyone who does not conform to what is deemed “normal”) into total submission to authority no matter how unfounded the charges – all it takes is an accusation by an anonymous informer and the state has total power over “guilty” you. You are now guilty until proven innocent, you have no right to face your accusers or even find out who they are – this has effectively turned real law and your constitutional rights on their head.
This is psychological warfare of the worst kind and the Stasi state is here.

Perhaps being well-informed has made me overly suspicious but I get a very strong feeling that the snitch who reported on this good samaritan is probably a pedophile (and is upset that the children are safe and hidden from view in the home).
Why do I suspect this?
It’s simple. We have all seen these legislators at every level of government who have a habit of defending and cuddling child molesters/child rapists. They often want to go so far as to bestow special legal rights and protections upon such people. Why? Because these legislators have the same inclination. Why else? I think we all know by now the kind of people who run Michigan’s DHS, CPS, and Social Services in our States.

I’ve never seen the average joe get so pissed about a news report. people are riled up and we could really send a message to the nanny state by marching into Lansing and telling them flat out “this will not be tolerated by we the people”.

The US is no longer a free Country.
Pretty soon it will be illegal or subject to some kind of punishment, to smile and look at certain people, or expose certain parts of your body, or possess certain books or talk about certain things.
This government needs to be overthrown before it is too late. It is also the greatest threat to any other nation.

It’s been happening in England for at least 2 or 3 weeks now.
Who wants their children to grow in constant fear of p… now, i don’t know how to spell this… peadofiles? something like that. But anyway, It’s unhealthy to live in fear.
You talk about people finding out and coming to terms with all this stuff, but i honestly don’t believe that that’s true. I was watching the news the other day and a friend of a friend came and sat down on the opposite sofa. After five minutes she said: “Uh, what’s the name of our prime minister again? Something Brown, isn’t it? is it? Like Jack Brown… or John Brown… or something.” At first i kept asking her to repeat the question. i was thinking: she can’t seriously be asking that, can she? I must be hearing her wrong. In the end i told her that it was Gordon Brown, and that he’s totally useless. She then informed me that she ‘never watches the news, anyway.’
I nearly commited suicide.
I don’t know which planet you guys are living on, but these stories are SO not getting out there.

Its the whole WORLD that is not free. I cant get my head around this – how come this has happened? I a from the UK and believe me, we are in the same state (or worse in some cases) as America.
I wish sometimes I believed in such things as God or the Bible but being a person of doubt, I find it impossible to believe. However, I will say one thing.

I live in Michigan and Personally will not vote for a single incumbant at this point, but I will be looking very seriously at independents and would highly recommend that everyone in not just michigan but all over the country give a good look at independents to replace the bought off corrupt elected officials that are now supposedly representing our best interests. it seems to me they are protecting the best intrest of a World Government not ours. We need to turn off our TV’s and start using our own eyes and ears and the internet (while we still have it) to seek the truth and wake up Americans to the surpression of common sense, the Constitution and our Bill of Rights that is happening in this country.

I live in Michigan and they DONT care about my son at all!!
We have been denied food stamps for 6 years, No matter what situation we have been in, Child support stopped for a winter and I was doing it all… 7.00 an hour was making too much for assistance? Then they also cut off my daycare and his heath care for a year when I was making 7 dollars an hour, Yet I met other people who made more yet were able to get it.
Last I tried to get food stamps the case worker put me down as having my own buisiness after I mentioned I was “trying” to make money by affiliting online, And told her I was not paid anything yet… So they sent me papers for “Business owners” and it was NOT my own business!! So could not fill the paperwork out, And so I was of course denied..Again.
I had my son at 35 and have talked to people, It seems the people late 30’s and up are the ones who get denied any assistance, and I have a young son.
The caseworkers were always rude as well and I’m a quiet reserved person, I’m always polite and not rude, Yet I get treated like a teenage trouble maker or something.
The women here get fired if we report sexual harassment.
Right in front of another woman this guy said I needed my @*s F*ck@d, and yet “I” was fired,
I work hard, never cause trouble and had no interest in men especially that guy, So I never flirted with him or anything, But the supervisor seemed to think I should have dated him etc,
Anyhow there is a LOT that goes on here that should be Illegal and considered discrimination but is not.
PLUS the Temp service who I was working for in that factory tried more than once to Sue me and lost.
I don’t TRUST people here and the state because of these things and have gone through a LOT of depression because of it. I never leave the house but to go to the store, There has been too many people who I never laid eyes on verbally attack me for no reason.
I lost faith in people and grew to think people would cheer if me and my son were murdered or something, That’s how much I trust anymore.

petition the “PEOPLE’s” Congress–to include all political PAC’s and
Parties Left or Right as well. Laws should be passed banning any

Just to make things a little more difficult for hard-working parents struggling to keep their jobs and pay for daycare. What an unfair double-edged attack on the common, already stretched, taxpayer. I also fail to see the reason why such a law would be put in place and enforced, community and loving thy neighbour is an enemy of the regime, as it prevents us killing eachother when the lights go out.
