Investment analyst Puru Saxena told a CNBC audience this morning that the Wall Street bailout was akin to treating a drug addict with shots of heroin, and warned that flooding the financial system with overprinted currency would lead to poverty, raging inflation and eventually a total collapse of the U.S. economy and the dollar.
“It’s very good to prop up the asset markets … but many, many other countries have tried to print themselves out of trouble and the end result has been a total collapse of the economy as well as the currency,” Saxena warned.
“What this is going to cause is sky-high commodity prices in the next few years and a general deterioration of the standard of living and sharply rising consumer prices and a huge contraction in the purchasing power of money,” he added.

Saxena noted that commodities such as grain inventories and metal stockpiles were at their lowest levels for decades, adding that panic buying of gold across Europe is indicative of fears of hyperinflation.
“Already we are seeing shortages of physical gold bullion and hoarding of gold going on all over the world,” Saxena said.
Saxena labeled bailout measures as “poison” in the long term, adding that tradable rallies will mask the problem until the second quarter of next year but the meltdown will ensue soon after.
Saxena’s warning echoes similar sentiments expressed in recent days by people like Jim Rogers, who last week accused global central banks of unleashing an inflationary holocaust.

Many believe gold and silver could skyrockets to 10,000 and 1,000 respectively.It is being kept artificially low as to fool people into thinking the economy is not as bad as it really is. Inflation is out of control. Stop feeding the Fed and start printing constitutional money like JFK did! (A perfect world would be the gold standard again, but it is now a world economy and a return would be very difficult and unlikely.)

Hey TBP, just go try to buy gold or silver for spot price! Brokers who claim to be able to deliver are taking buyers’ money and not shipping any metal. The black market (the only true free market) price for silver is about $26/oz.
Spot price is no indication of the true market for precious metals. The price is being set to convince people there is not enough crisis to panic about.

Everyone on this site should try and understand what the real issue is. Yet, all of you with the exception of a few, continue to babble about things and issues that have nothing to do with the real problem. The amounts throughout the world have become so large and unmanageable that even they don’t know what to do, so they too know the only alternative is to keep it up as long as they can.

By the way, we are only dealing with the so-called sub-prime mortgages right now. Wait until the derivatives start calling for payments…….there’s some estimated 17 Trillion marketed up in those.

Im watching cnbc and they look like they have seen a boat full of ghost. they can’t believe what is happening! why they know that its all a plow to get investers back in the market. The quality of assets being purchased by the Bankstas at Treasury are very low grade compared to the Preferred Stock Warren Buffet bought a little over a week ago. Buffet got the best deals in the world. Convertible Preferred yielding a TEN PERCENT annual dividend from Goldman Sachs and very similar with his other purchases. The Treasury purchased the lowest rated equities.. and is in the process of purchasing more. So why would it be that Buffet only purchased a few billion in stock and got Grade A Angus and the American Taxpayer ends up buying beef entrails? There must be some inverted law of finance that applies here.

If you DO listen to the show on a regular basis you will find that is the key.

We can only hope the officers reread their oath, that they took no oath to obey the President. Their oath is only to the Constitution. Maybe some young officers can stage a coup and thus eliminate the problem in the White House.
