Barack Obama to appoint Republicans to key cabinet roles

The head of his transition team said the President-elect wanted to make genuine efforts to reach out across the parties.
John Podesta, a former chief of staff to President Bill Clinton, said Republicans and independents would be in Mr Obama’s cabinet and lower-level jobs at “not just a token level”.

The news came as Mr Obama revealed he had asked two leading Democrat and a Republican figures to meet delegates on his behalf at the G20 financial summit in Washington at the weekend.
Madeleine Albright, Secretary of State under Mr Clinton, and Jim Leach, a former Republican congressman, will represent him during the talks.
Denis McDonough, a senior foreign policy adviser to Mr Obama, said: “There is one President at a time in the United States, so the President-elect has asked Secretary Albright and Congressman Leach, an experienced and bipartisan team, to be available meet with and listen to our friends and allies on his behalf.”
Among the Republicans under consideration for senior posts in the cabinet are Senator Richard Lugar of Indiana, a possible Secretary of State, Colin Powell, being looked at for Pentagon chief or Education Secretary, and Robert Gates, who could be kept on at the Pentagon.
Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, a Vietnam veteran who has lambasted President George W. Bush for his conduct of the Iraq war, is also a possible Republican in the 14-member cabinet.

Change yeah right, bring in the same Repugs like Powell who spewed the lied of where the WMDs were in Iraq, the lie that reinforced the invasion that Killed over a million Iraqis, and STILL killing Iraqis today,
and then theres Albright, another warmonger thug who thinks its OK to for children to die.
Correspondent Leslie Stahl said to Albright,
“We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that”s more children than died in Hiroshima. And–and you know, is the price worth it?”
Madeline Albright replied
“I think this is a very hard choice, but the price–we think the price is worth it.”
That the sanctions killed half a million Iraqi children was almost certainly a pro-Saddam canard. But Albright did not dispute the premise. Instead, she defended (it) as “worth it”…

Every appointment suspect, every deed questionable, and the pathetic crowds of people – searching for help from the Almighty, believe that because the dictator is different, the country will be healed. Healed by using the same old bandaids that were corrupt in the first place – the “remedies” that were the cause of the infection.

Traditional sources are unlikely to work because the scam is so HUGE! First off, the US has had the illegal creation of the Federal Resrve for about 95 years–in that span of time the Fed has helped to usher in the IRS (its collection agent), WWI, orchastrated stock market crash of 1929 that it manipulated into happening, the removal of the gold standard in 1933, entry into WWII, entry into the Korean War that many still do not know why we entered, JFK assassination, entry into Viet nam war, on up to the present with other false flag operations such as inside job 911, illegal war on Iraq, Gitmo, Patriot Act that basically nullifies our US Constitution…the illegal $700 billion bailout, ETC. ETC. ETC. Do you recall that on 9-10-2001 Rumsfeld announced that their was some $2.6 TRILLION unaccounted? The following day 9-11, and then a little later on, it was reported Rumsfeld was in error, the more accurate amount of missing $ was $3.4 TRILLION! This was announced with an explaination that we will never be able to know for sure how it was stolen from the US people snce the evidence were located in the Pentagon and Twin Towers, like the ENRON evidence–how convenient. Hmmm. Could such vast amounts of money help to finance a 9-11 false flag operation? We rightly squabble about $700 Billion bailout, but $3.4 TRILLION based on 2001 value is some five times this most recent bailout! The illegal Federal Reserve has capitalized and encouraged every war and false flag operation that it financed into existence with monopoly money that is not based on anything; yet, the Federal Reserve charged interest on such a fiat system and therefore manipulated much of the true wealth and assessts of this country away from WE THE PEOPLE! How many of you have lost a family member or friend in the manufactured wars of the 20th and now 21st century? How many have died. In WWI and WWII it is estimated as much as a 100 MILLION died in those senseless wars. In Vietnam, one million vietnamese died–not counting US deaths. In Iraq, MILLIONS have died since its manipulated war with Iran in the 1980s, and speaking of Iran, now the US (CIA/MOSAD) are encouraging a war with Iran! When will it cease? Who stands to gain by such evil manipulations? Surely WE THE PEOPLE do not gain anything from wars and rumors of wars, so why participate in a game that offers you no true lasting benefits/rewards? Folks, you want change? Then get involved and do what your heart, mind and soul directs you to do to bring about a lasting change to usher in JUSTICE and hopefully PEACE. NUFF SAID–GET INVOLVED! 14, they have been doing that, by getting all the white kids to dress and act like the thugs, listening to rap music, and being little wiggers. They will not use them against us, they will outbreed us and make sure there are no whites left. In another 50 there will not be many white people left. I am not racist, but racial and feel one should be proud of their race, blacks should be happy to be black, whites white, Asians, Asian, hispanic, and the list goes on.
I do not down anyone for mixing, but I do not do it myself, just the way i am, if that makes me racist, great, but I am proud to be white.

he better keep his promise that he made on the native american indian reservations, and that he would for the first time, but a native american in a key spot in the white house. did you guys know that native americans did not even have the right to vote till mid 1920’s? further, some native americans are still considered enemy of the state. last, on this subject, did you know that the gov plans to take the reservations back from the the native american nations. if you drop to less than 50% native american blood, you are not considered as part of the native american nation, so as more native american’s leave the reservation to find work because they are being kept in poverty, they marry outside the reservation, and their children loose the right to live on the reservation and be part of the nation. they do not want a native american uprise, instead they want the remainder of the land that each nation holds.
