Now we can do it more efficiently using transgenic approaches. There's no mind control agents or sterility agents in golden rice, just upregulated copies of genes required for carotenoid biosynthesis. The proposition of climate-change and GM foods being part of the same agenda is ludicrous. Farmers and governments in the third world are not going to care if a GM food might raise or lower the temperature by 0.1% if it can solve a vitamin-A deficiency.
