(RTTNews) – United States Vice-President Joseph Biden has urged the Pakistani government to intensify the fight against terror outfits, especially al-Qaeda, which he said continued to plot attacks against America from remote areas of the country.
Biden conveyed his country’s concern that Islamabad is not doing enough to combat Taliban and al-Qaeda during his meetings with Pakistani leaders Wednesday on the second leg of his South-West Asia tour, focusing on the assessment of security situations in the terrorist hotbeds of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Addressing a press conference with Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Biden pointed to the fact that “al-Qaeda plotted the attack that killed nearly 3,000 American citizens and continue to plot attack on the US and its interests to this very day.”
