The “Resale Round-up,” launched by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, enforces new limits on lead in children’s products and makes it illegal to sell any items that don’t meet those limits or have been recalled for any other reason.
The strict standards were set in the 2008 Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act after a series of high-profile recalls of Chinese-made toys.
The standards were originally interpreted to apply only to new products, but now the CPSC says they apply to used items as well.

White people are stupid.
Only stupid white people would allow the toy manufacturing jobs to go to China.
Then allow the lead tainted junk into their nation to poison their children.
Then tell parents trying to sell the junk for a buck they can’t because it is lead toy poison.
And fine the parents more than they would fine the toy manufacture who made all the profits in the first place to poison children with their over priced JUNK.
White devil control indeed!!

I agree the lead painted toys are a problem, but once again, they caused the problem by letting the crap into every walmart in America and now they want to penalize the people for it! Well if this only applies to sales then begin to barter, if they crack down on that then we find another way while doing everything we can to make sure the laws they want to crush us with we use right back against them.

So I have to pay a tax for recouping a FRACTION of my money back. It’s not like my money made me money, I lost money. You want to talk about “double taxation”. What about when someone buys a brand new car? There’s plenty of tax paid on that car. Let’s say they keep the car for 3 years and then sell it privately. The second buyer has to pay tax on that same car. Buyer number 2 keeps it for a year or two and then sells the car to someone else. Buyer number 3 has to pay tax on that same car. We now have ONE CAR that has has tax paid on it 3 TIMES!!!! Talk about raking it in!!!

First of all, if CPA did their jobs, we would not have to be worried about this. Second of all, they would want to get their hands in this. Why, because there are HUNDREDS of thousnads of garage sale going on these days. People losing everything, moving so on and so forth, trying to get money!! I’d say just in a square mile around my house there is maybe 50 or more garage sales going on any given weekend. I’ve seen corners where there are sometimes 6,7 or more signs for garage sales. They should be going after the companies that sold the toys and CPA workers for not doing their jobs in the first place. Greedy puckers!!!!!!!

There is more danger in lead leaching from outdated water pipes than from handling old toys. You want lead? Look in the water supplies first. Fluoride isn’t the only harmful thing in our water being deliberately added. Come on now – REALLY? This is not about lead in children’s toys. Most older toys have outlived their first owners and are discarded. REALLY old toys in good condition are prized by collectors and unless the collector is an absolute idiot, he isn’t going around sticking old toys in his mouth. This is about microcontrolling a “cottage industry” that is keeping money in the hands of some poor people that the govt can’t get their grubby hands on. Don’t fall for the “protecting children” swill. If they wanted to protect children, the NWO wouldn’t be injecting them with mercury and squalene. Protecting children? What a laugh.

my aunt is a doll collector and that is the biggest moneymaker in the flea market/garage sale world. These kinds of laws are just the goverment’s way to get their slimy fingers all over our used goods markets and force us to be the debt and wage slaves we are meant to be in their eyes. I won’t be surprised if there is some Craigslist crisis that crops up and closes those types of sites, because some cities are goldmines for Craigslist users and these same cities like to keep small businesses in and Walmarts out.

Chinese imports containing contaminated ingredients/parts enter the US while “regulators” look the other way. Classic problem-reaction-solution. Does anyone really believe that the goods imported were imported by accident? What better way to set up this whole apparatus? 1) Ensure the importation of bad products – not available on our own shores – caused by off-shore outsourcing, 2) Sound the alarm over the dangers, 3) Introduce draconian regulations and fines to hogtie private citizens engaging in private commerce under the rubric of “safety”.
I’ve said it before; I’ll say it again. The main problem we have is LAWYERS. NO attorney should EVER hold ANY public office, either elective or appointed. Any attorney currently in office should be removed from office, followed by an election of citizens from (non-lawyer) professional and/or vocational groups based on a per-capita representative percentage. The N.O.T.A. (None Of The Above) option should be available at every ballot. If the N.O.T.A. provision garners the greatest percentage of votes via Paper Ballot, the entire slate shall be replaced with fresh candidates. Nor should ANY attorney serve in any advisory capacity to any governmental entity.
Any politician so much as drafting – with the intention of introducing, putting forth, sponsoring or co-sponsoring in any official manner – legislation at variance to the Bill of Rights or Constitution shall be immediately charged with Conspiracy to Deny God-Given Rights (already in the US Code), removed from office and speedily tried, with verdicts ensuing. Should a Guilty Verdict result, sentencing should be in compliance with established Original (Founding) Penalties. Will we ever see it? Unlikely…

As the time goes on , people of america have everyday less and less freedom due to politics conducted by federal power. Also , as a consequence of the economic crisis , more and more of them have lost their job and home. But the crisis is not finished , and in near future the consequences could be catastrophic. Keep in mind that any change can not come from the federal government , but only the people , the only source of any future chagement. If a majority of them think a change is possible , so it can be. A way to preserve freedom , ideals , welfare of people is federalism must come to an end. People will have to make a choise , federalism versus freedom , ideals , welfare… . The first could lead to the establishment of a martial law. A state as texas is ready to cross the line , it could be an example for the others. People could put under pressure every state government in the aim to declare secession , the american constitution allow such a decision. Such an aim can’t be aimed without any precaution , as it is evident the federal power is not ready to yield or abdicate. Probably , this one will use force to submit people , but constitution give garantees on firearms. people can put up a fight against the oppressive federal power if a political issue according to the will of people can not be lead. People have to make his will respect , otherwise it will be an opressed people. Saying that federalism must come to an end mean it must be break down , it appears to be the only way to preserve people. America can be easily imagined without federalism and preserved.
