Bill to Audit Fed Gains Serious Momentum

It looks like the Federal Reserve may finally have something to worry about now that HR 1207 is finally gaining serious steam. If enacted, HR 1207 will amend title 31 of the United States Code and reform the manner in which the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is audited by the Comptroller General of the United States. In other words, for the first time since 1950, the criminals at the Federal Reserve will be forced by law to open their books.

HR 1207 was sponsored and introduced by Rep. Ron Paul. On February 26, 2009, it was referred to the House Committee on Financial Services. It now has 179 co-sponsors (see the list of sponsors below).
If passed, the bill will force the Fed to give a public accounting of the trillions of taxpayer “loans” handed over to the banksters. It will force Congress to audit the Fed and this will force out into the light of day the Fed practice of inflating the currency for the gain of a small number of international bankers. It will reveal the bankster practice of engineering financial crises and depressions — or scientifically created, as Congressman Charles A. Lindberg Sr. said after the Federal Reserve Act was passed in the dead of night — in order to consolidate illicit gains and eliminate competition (as the bankers are monopoly men).
On March 25, 2009, H.R. 1207 had 44 co-sponsors. “We’re making great progress because a lot of you have helped encourage your member of Congress to co-sponsor the bill,” Ron Paul said. “And to me, this is very, very important that we do this. The atmosphere in the Congress has definitely changed. It’s changed with their attitude about the Federal Reserve System, but overall there’s a tremendous push by the American people for the Congress to wake up and have more transparency… I have argued, of course, that we don’t need the Federal Reserve. It’s not part of our constitution and we should get rid of it, but it doesn’t happen that way. But if we get the audit and get the books open, make them answer the questions, I am convinced that the American people will be so outraged that then we will have reform of the monetary system.”
Imagine Ben Bernanke, shorn of his arrogance, dragged before Congress and compelled to answer questions. In the not too distant past, this prospect was a remote dream, but now, thanks to Ron Paul and all the people who have insisted their representatives support this bill, it may become law.

I’ve made it a habit to write my congressperson on a (almost) daily basis. Don’t know if she even gets the message, but I feel this bill is too important not to put in a valid effort. Maybe I’ll start calling. I would assume the interns know my name by now!

May I remind you that if we can reach the twitter trending topics, congressmen and women will pay attention as a lot of them use twitter. As Ron Paul states in this video, urge your congress men and women to pass this bill. Well here is an easy way to do it and it’ll reach a lot more unaware users in the process.

They will probably allow the audit once they have created as second set of books with a bunch of fake destinations and figures. If these people own washington, you know they won’t reveal any truth to the audit. If they were crooked before, they will be crooked during the audit. Why wouldn’t they…they know they are above the law and own the land. I would be surprised if it turned out to be a legitimate audit. It’s probably going to just be another circus show to make us feel good.

I agree that if an audit occurs, it will be a staged and orchestrated event and nothing will change. The international central banksters have enough influence and wealth to never let it happen. I just learned about the BIS this weekend on two great videos by a lady named Joan Veon…I’m sure there are youtube videos on this as well, and people need to know the flowchart of the whole banking consortium…it’s not just the FED, it is a worldwide network that culminates in the BIS. we should do as we have done in the past and have an open bid in every state to create their own money baised on sound monitary principles namely gold and silver and all states should have strict policys to enforce purity guidelines. Coinage might resemble state quarters series. silver coinage from 1dollar to 20 and gold from 50 to 1000 coins keep silver at 90% for coins from1to 20 dollars and gold should be 22k for 50to 500dollar coins and 24k for 1000 dollar ones. and have paper recipts for gold and silver if people dont like to carry heavy gold or silver with them but charge them a small fee to do so. this will keep us from sliding down into oblivion. Its impossible to get back all the gold and silver we had in the past its mostly gone now. fort knox hasnt been audited in 60 years now wonder where most of the per 1933 gold bullion is now? Natural Born Citizen means he was born in the U.S., it doesn’t have anything to do with where his parents were born. His father could be Kenyan and he’s still a natrual born citizen if he was born on U.S. soil. The problem is if he’s a “naturalized” citizen, meaning he was born elsewhere and moved to the U.S. and became a citizen after the fact. All evidence suggests Obama was born in Kenya, and that’s the problem. A “naturalized” citizen can’t be president.

I like Ron Paul, but sometimes i think he is just a puppet too to control the people that realize whats going on, making it look like they are making progress just so people aren’t firebombing the white-house and getting violent.

once upon a time there was a used car salesman named bob with 100 older cars on his lot. he wasn’t really a car salesman though. it was a disguise. bob was going to put GPS auto-steer in them and then unleash them on his targets of choice. he was going to fill the cars with explosives and then trace his course in the GPS’s memory so he could unleash them on his target’s of choice.

Read the Constitution and Declaration of Independence, the founding fathers knew the natural state of a political system was to take more and more power to itself and tried to insure against that as best they could, however they also knew that it couldn’t last and left us a message in the Declaration, telling us what to do.

179 co-sponsors gives hope but is meaningless. Let me explain…
435 members means 218 are needed to pass. That doesn’t come close to stopping a filibuster. Even if the number of sponsors jumps to be filibuster-proof the first hurdle is to simply get it out of committee. Then you have to get the actual votes on the floor. Sponsorship does not guarantee a positive vote. I would bet that 2 out of 3 sponsors don’t vote for it.
Examples:
Nebraska has all three congressmen as sponsors but Jeff Fortenberry is CFR which guarantees a “no” vote, Lee Terry is a pure puppet of the Republican party which is obviously the right hand of the thief system so he is likely to follow instructions and vote “no” (he’ll only vote “yes” if it looks like it won’t pass so he can claim he was on our side in the next election), and Adrian Smith which is an unknown but probable “yes” vote because of his rural upbringing and core values.
That’s only ONE possible out of three sponsors.
And then there’s still the senate hurdle to clear…

The answer is to pass this bill and then change this country through the GOP. A 3rd party is doomed to fail in a two party system like ours. The Democrats are hopeless because of their love of big government but there is a large segment of the GOP that loves freedom. If you can win enough of the GOP to support a candidate like Ron Paul you can change this nation. I am a Republican and although I voted for Huckabee and then hel my nose and voted McCain I’d vote for Ron Paul if he won the GOP nomination. I have studied this long and hard gentlemen and you have to win one of the two parties over in order to pull off peaceful change in America. If you go the third party route then this movement is doomed to failure and irrelevance. Of course the FED needs to be audited, and should have been audited a long time ago…..It is the timing on this bill that concerns me…..if you read between the lines, and see what else is going on right now, namely the shake down of Britain’s Parliament’s personal expenses, it leaves me to believe that this new bill is not exactly what it appears…The FED, and Britain’s Parliament, have been up to the same thing for a long, long time….why a simultaneous shake down all of a sudden, or even at all, since they have already been getting away with it for so, so long? I hope Dennis, and other politicians wanting to escape from signing on to 1207, are not going to use Kucinich’s hr 2424, as an excuse not to sign on to 1207. The Kucinich bill is watered down to nothing. It doesn’t revoke the provisions in title 31 that prevent the Fed from undergoing a REAL audit.
Ron Paul’s 1207 would REPEAL special audit protections for the Federal Reserve (31 USC 714 – Sec. 714) and calls for a full Government Accountability Office audit of the central bank to be completed before the end of 2010 and submitted to Congress for review. When you read the entire bill, you see it does this by striking out the exemptions. Simple and effective.
Kucinich’s H.R.2424
Title: To amend title 31, United States Code, to authorize reviews by the Comptroller General of the United States of any credit facility established by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System or any Federal reserve bank during the current financial crisis, and for other purposes.
Without a REPEAL of audit exemptions, Kucinich’s bill can be used to review how many pencils the Fed uses. It looks like smoke and mirrors by including findings, but no method to get at what caused the findings because there’s no repeal of exemptions, not even a mere review of the Fed’s dealings with any establishment not created by the Board of Governors, like a foreign bank.
But it gets worse because there’s not even a requirement of a review. The reviews only happen when the Comptroller General determines such actions are appropriate. The current Comptroller General was assigned, not confirmed, when the previous Comptroller General resigned; therefore his job is not safe.
Kucinich is also sponsoring legislation for a “universal prekindergarten program to ensure that all children 3, 4, and 5 years old have access to a high-quality full-day, full-calendar-year prekindergarten education,” introduced in January. Even if your’e for that kind of thing, in this economy?
AND he voted yea to Obama’s slavery bill.
I’m beginning to think Kucinich’s idea to impeach Bush was just for show. It probably would have done nothing because national security would be used as a reason not to answer tough questions. But if it does it will reveal to the public what doesn’t work, if done correctly, and that is truly a revolutionary step forward. Truth is the most effective revolution. Blood on the streets without the truth and a viable plan of action afterwards is a waste of human life and material goods.

Auditing the Fed is just the first step. Hopefully, this bill will go through. However, it’s just the first step in correcting the financial structure of this country.
To “we the people”- I don’t think anyone here is “folding like pussies” as you put it, the point that was being made is what the reaction to the audit results will be. Bottom line is we don’t have the gold reserve to back up any of the checks the US has been writing. That will create a collapse of some kind, somewhere. There has to be a plan in place to offset what would happen when the results are shown.
Secondly, just who exactly will audit the corrupt Federal Reserve? Another corrupt arm of our corrupt government? Most likely.
These are discussion points. They are valid points. There needs to be further contingencies built in to offset what we already know the results will be. Once the Fed is shut down ideally the US Treasury will take over again, we go back to the gold standard…. yet that isn’t what these politicians will do. They will look to the World Bank to save the US.
That is the point being made here. You cannot trust the powers that be to do anything correctly. We are in serious debt as a nation. Look at who is holding our debts. Look real hard. What is our collateral? Land, natural resources? Somebody is going to want to be paid.
The people that have driven us into the shitter, the bankers and globalists, know damn good and well that an audit of the Fed could come at any time. What do you think they will propose once the audit actually happens and we come up short?
Before you charge into battle, you may want to check and make sure you actually have rounds in your clips, not just the two showing from the top.
Auditing the Fed is a great step, a first step in the right direction. The tragedy will be the results. No one has thought through that step. The results. There has to be a contingency in place as wording in the bill or in a separate bill, so we don’t get sucked up by the world bank and other countries.
If we stay on present course, we are headed for financial disaster. When we audit the fed and come up short, we are headed for disaster. The bankers and globalsists placed us in the perfect catch-22. The proverbial rock and the hard spot.

Great words by a great man. I don’t think anyone disagrees with their meaning. The cicumstances are slightly different today then they were back then. We have to put our foot down somewhere. Yet, the same people who are crying freedom so bravely from behind their keyboards will be the first ones crying when surrounded in darkness, there is no food, no water, no ammo, no communications, no sign of help, nothing.

Sorry to say, but I am very skeptical about this. Even if it does get voted in, how is that going to fix anything. These guys are masters of deception and they have a plan for every situation. If taxpayers knew the honest truth about their historical relationship with the Federal Reserve, they wouldn’t be praying for it be abolished. They’d change their tune and focus on the holding companies that are in possession of their value, with chunks freely handed over by the US Corporation in order to insure security. They all have their own agendas and also know how valuable it is for you to conduct business and consume to your hearts content. However, things have undoubtedly changed midstream and will be a change everyone will be content with. This I can promise you if you are willing to accept your relationship to these private corporations, what agreement or application was signed to engage you in it, and how to set the public records straight. The taxpayer will soon discover what and who these individual financial institutions are. The taxpayer’s are the one’s holding all the cards, they just don’t recognize the difference between debt and liabilities.

I don’t think it would do much good to audit the Fed, unfortuantely. They just have too much power. The only way is to part ways with the Fed completely, thus removing that major dependency.

My my. I courtsey to you (or is that bow?–hehe). If this gets up, then we can “chat” for a bit. Yes, I am back. I was in Prison Planet for awhile, but even there I was started to have many of my comments banned. Some were by the regular filter while many of them went up and then were removed later. Therefore I figured it was better to stay away. I have not figured out why yet, meaning either it is a personal thing maybe because I have refused to do a public thing for them here or the way I have backed up ones like Dr. Paul and Alex Jones. Whatever the case, I have been experimenting at this moment and might have found a phrase or word that is doing it. I will see.

The deletions never bothered me much with the general filtering automatically working. It was the manual takedown of what did go up hours after it was up. First off, these “reply” areas only accept about 3 replies. The deletions never bothered me much with the general filtering automatically working. It was the manual takedown of what did go up hours after it was up. Only those backing up this place seemed to be the ones targeted. For now, though, I found the one word that has just been filtered out after about 15 or 20 attempts to get my “spell” up. Obviously I cannot chance saying it now, but it is the word that is opposite of daylight. Strange. Huh?
Now, I know how you can be given my contact, but I am almost not able to answer all that I get now. I will evaluate that.
In the meantime, I want to thank you for your compliment. Of course I remember you for the same reason that you complimented me about. It is good to see that you are still around and “they” have not (yet?) destroyed your mind.

By the way, under each comment area there is a checkbox if you want a notification sent to you that someone has replied to a comment of yours. That was not working up to the point when I left and rather recently in Prison Planet. It is working now. If you are going to reply to me, and if you are using a real address, I suggest that you reply to me by clicking onto the “reply” link. That way if I do not make it here, then I just might be in my e-mail when it comes through since I do use mine. You have not been replying to me that way but rather making new comments, except for the first one. We only get I believe 3 replies that helps stop such conversations, but at that point, we can start a new comment to work with. Gee, if 20 people replied inbetween, we would have a hard time finding any one particular reply to a comment if all had to be new ones. So I say that the service is good and should be used.

First off, I thought that maybe I saw a link that allows you to delete your own comments here, but it is not here. Next, I wonder if you clicked on the “Notify me of follow-up comments via e-mail” box because even though you replied to me, you did it under your own comment which means that you would have received the notification instead of me. Well, my reply to you was the last one under the original comment and anything further said would either have to be a new comment that would not be sent to me or it would have be made under one of my previous comments to get back to me. Seems like you are allowed four replies making it a total of five in a comment, including the original. Not bad. Got to give Alex Jones credit for having this designed this way. Of course that is if people reply under a the next reply. Otherwise you can reply as many times as you want, as far as I know, if you keep on replying under the same comment, which ever one that might be. That is just incase a hundred people might want to say something about the same comment. Fancy, huh?
