Black Bloc Provocateurs Set Strasbourg Hotel on Fire

“Protesters demonstrating against a NATO summit in Strasbourg set fire to a hotel in the city near the river Rhine on Saturday, AFP journalists witnessed.”
Described as “hardline,” the Black Bloc provocateurs, “armed with metal bars,” also wrecked a wrecked a chapel, a pharmacy, an empty police post and other buildings at the French end of the Europe bridge connecting Strasbourg with Germany, according to AFP.
In order to demonize the anti-NATO protests as the work of violent “anarchists” (agents provocateurs), the New York Times described participants as “a mix of anti-globalization and anti-military activists (who) set a hotel and border post on fire, while riot police used tear gas to keep them back.”

The BBC filed a video report highlighting the staged violence.
Police used the staged violence as an excuse to arrest demonstrators. “Police later detained dozens of demonstrators, lying them face down on the ground before hauling them away,” Sky News reports elsewhere. “Journalists were stopped by police from approaching the campsite area… The campsite had been set up to house demonstrators during the two-day talks.”
As noted in the video here, the legitimate anti-NATO protesters are determined to use non-violent civil disobedience to block the summit. In order to provide an excuse to use batons and rubber bullets against them, agents provocateurs masquerading as Black Bloc anarchists have been dispatched with instructions to burn down hotels and vandalize churches.
Earlier in the week, “anarchist” agents provocateurs were dispatched during the G20 with orders to smashed up the Royal Bank of Scotland. The corporate media used images of this vandalism to demonize non-violent demonstrators.
“The British authorities seemed to have little problem with allowing a group of violent black bloc anarchists to smash up the RBS building while provoking police yesterday, despite the group announcing their target in advance, yet a legitimate anti-poverty organization has had its ‘accreditation’ to protest at the G20 removed on the orders of Downing Street,” wrote Paul Joseph Watson on April 2. The authorities “knew that the building was a prime target, and yet it was the only one in the street not boarded up. A cafe across the street was boarded up and yet the RBS building was left completely vulnerable to attack.”

I agree 100% with this article. I seen it all happen and thought, “oh my god, the whole thing is staged”.
Not to mention NOT ONE protester was protesting against the New World Order, which they SHOULD have been doing…no…they were protesting against Global Warming. Global Warming is such propaganda, it will make the government BILLIONS and TRILLIONS on TAX. Just like our planet, our solar system/galaxy goes through CYCLES, we are entering the “summer time” of our solar system/galaxy – This means increase on solar flares, Global Warming has NOTHING to do with C02 emissions.

I wouldn’t call those protests. I don’t know what I would call them to be honest. The only good thing out of all of it I guess, is the hotel owner will get a brand new hotel. I’m sure he’s glad. But other than that nothing has changed and thats change that we all can expect. We won’t be heard by the elites. Not until drastic measures are taken that get their attention. The problem with global government such as the G20 and WTO is that it gives power to large corporations to override government decisions. Got a federal wilderness are thats worth loging and strip mining? What does Rio Tinto care about the national laws that get in its way? Nothing if they can sue in a world court and win. What about the extreme debt that poorer countries have to the IMF and world bank? What happens to the rights to their own resources in those countries? They lose them to a large degree.

Since 2003, I witnessed a few demonstrations in Geneva, Switzerland (but didn’t take part), including those during the G8 summit in Evian (a town close to Geneva) in May 2003. In mention these experiences since they provided me with the opportunity to observe the infamous black block in action. These rioters speak mostly german and they are very determined to clash with police forces. But always using stones or iron bars. As long as they choose to use violence, why do they only use bad and inefficient weapons like stones? Why don’t they upgrade to firearms, for example?
Now, why do they always strike where and when police forces are deployed? Why don’t they make it more difficult for the authorities by going into action before or after. Why do they all regroup to strike in a single flashpoint, instead of striking by small groups of 2 or 3 peoples, in many places at the same time? Are they acting under a false flag as this article says.

Germans and French have a different political tradition. The US has a nonviolent tradition. Germans/French came out from monarchy and totalitarianism relatively recently, and see things as a power struggle. Each side has to show its power and willingness to fight for their side. This is because very little progress for average people has even been won in Europe via letter writing campaigns, and peaceful marches like Martin Luther King.
Even though those fires are really dramatic, I don’t think europeans would be likely to arm the state more. Do you see how the protesters are just throwing rocks, rather than getting guns like guerillas in central America? On the police side, they just have tear gas, but are not shooting projectiles at the protesters. So in a way, this conflict is all part of theater.
