Blogs Claim DHS Installed Surveillance Cameras in Airport Urinals

We were unable to locate an “official” confirmation on this, but several blogs are reporting that the Department of Homeland Security has installed surveillance cameras in urinals at Houston’s Hobby Airport. The geek website Slashdot has reported on this and has linked to Swamplot, a real estate blog in Houston.
“The camera appeared to be in the same panel that carried the flush sensor… a brushed metal panel with an oval shaped dark transparent glass with a red on it… And this panel was located just above the urinal itself. Given how close the user of the urinal would be to the flush sensor and camera, it’s probably designed to monitor people walking in/out/around the bathroom, not the user of the urinal.”
Is this for real? We don’t know, but considering the invasive technology used by the government to spy on “terrorists” (citizens opposed to the government) we wouldn’t put it past the DHS to actually do something like this.

For those of us who are independent journalists here in Houston, we should try to get footage of this and try to get it aired on the local news and also post it on You Tube. I wonder if they keep these in the women’s restrooms as well? Probably. If we could prove this, it would be a fairly large story, I think.
This airport surveillance crap is getting way out out of hand. I’m sick of it. I refuse to fly because of it.
And, if they’re doing it here in H-town, they’re probably doing it in many other places as well.
Independent journalists should go out and check this stuff out.
At this point, I just have to assume that everything we do is surveilled in some way. We just have to keep exposing it and fighting it. Let’s get on this story!!!

I live by Dulles Airport in Northern Virginia, I’m about to take my friend over there and check it out to see if there’s anything weird going on over there like this. I kinda doubt it, but you never know! It is possible, these people do all kinds of crazy stuff. Then again, it could be somebody playing a prank on people. But, I would say, if I saw a camera on my urinal, I would go back with a screwdriver, and smash it out, after covering my face of course, it’s probably recording.
Is that really even legal though, to have a camera on a urinal? Something to look into.

This is so fake.
The red dot is in fact an infrared proximity sensor — part of the automatic flushing mechanism.
Think about it, why put a camera there of all places? They wouldn’t see shit. It’d make much more sense to simply use standard cameras up in a corner.
If DHS wanted surveillance in airport washrooms, they’d just pay the custodial staff to report back to them. I’ve worked in an airport and there is not an inch where you don’t have at least two cameras on you — except in the washrooms — where there is always one janitor less than a minute away.
Good thing you guys didn’t fall for this because that’s probably exactly why this fake story was put out.

Its weapons detection – in the private space of an airport (according to the fearmonger crowd) where one might be most likely to prep for their ‘jihad’…aka false flag terror.
The sticker is probably the feds laughable idea of a legal disclaimer.
The ‘IR’ sensor is chiefly the imager for the weapons detection – but can easily be outfitted to trigger other events such as – WALA! flushing of the urinal.

i would have to say its most likly not real, the DHS would use stelth cams IE no red light needed and surly there is little info to gain from cams in the restroom, if this is real its most surly not the DHS but sompne trying out their new spy cam toys, i saw one in the mall that was made in to a ball point pen but still its degital so again no red lights

When the control grid becomes active, there will be no where anyone can go without being detected. On the road, in the fields, or in the cities where a large number of hold outs will most likely remain.
