U.S. Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley confiscated more than 4,600 pounds of marijuana in several seizures from Friday through Monday.

The two largest seizures each netted more than a half-ton of the drug.

On Friday in Garceno, agents spotted a “marijuana-laden pickup truck” driving away from the Rio Grande, according to a Tuesday news release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the parent agency of Border Patrol.
