Boy Scouts Train to Become Homeland Gestapo

Once upon a time the Boy Scouts were about camping, backpacking, and canoeing. Boy Scouts were into high adventure and sporting activities. Scouts were about preventing forest fires and “Do a Good Turn Daily.” Scouts worked with the Salvation Army and the Red Cross. They cherished ideals such as the Cub Scout Promise and the Law of the Pack.
Now the Boy Scouts have a new mission — fighting terrorism, rounding up illegal aliens, search and destroying marijuana fields, and embracing the SWAT mentality.
“The Explorers program, a coeducational affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America that began 60 years ago, is training thousands of young people in skills used to confront terrorism, illegal immigration and escalating border violence — an intense ratcheting up of one of the group’s longtime missions to prepare youths for more traditional jobs as police officers and firefighters,” reports the New York Times.
Homeland Security and the FBI are behind the effort to indoctrinate and train the Boy Scouts to become tomorrow’s Gestapo. “Our end goal is to create more agents,” April McKee, a senior Border Patrol agent, told the New York Times. “Before it was more about the basics,” said Johnny Longoria, a Border Patrol agent. “But now our emphasis is on terrorism, illegal entry, drugs and human smuggling.”
“Just as there are soccer moms, there are Explorers dads, who attend the competitions, man the hamburger grill and donate their land for the simulated marijuana field raids. In their training, the would-be law-enforcement officers do not mess around, as revealed at a recent competition on the state fairgrounds here, where a Ferris wheel sat next to the police cars set up for a felony investigation,” Jennifer Steinhauer writes for the Times.
Scouts are trained to identify the enemy. In a competition in Arizona, one role-player wore traditional Arab dress. “If we’re looking at 9/11 and what a Middle Eastern terrorist would be like,” said A. J. Lowenthal, a sheriff’s deputy in Imperial County, California, “then maybe your role-player would look like that. I don’t know, would you call that politically incorrect?”
Politically correct or not, Homeland Security and the FBI realize Arabs are not the enemy — “rightwing extremists” are.

Police state Scouts will be the vanguard for Obama’s million-man Civilian National Security Corps. “just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military.
It’s up to the New York Times, as the premier “liberal” propaganda outfit, to sell the militarization of the Boy Scouts to the American people, using the standard bugaboos of Arab terrorists, drug cartel thugs, and marijuana cultivators as the example of why all of this is necessary.
In the real world, however, government is not primarily concerned with drug dealers — after all, the government and Wall Street run most of the drugs — they are worried about growing opposition to the destruction of the Constitution and the imposition of world government by a cabal of international bankers and their corporate fascist partners in crime.

I contacted BSA National and expressed my outrage at these actions as well as my local council. I also contacted my local TV Stations and told them about this and directed them to this article as well as the NYT article. I told them this is outragous behavior on the part of the BSA. I also forward this information to my Scoutmaster and the other leaders in our troop as well as our committe members. I teach the Citienship in the Nation merit badge (http://www.usscouts.org/mb/mb003.asp) and I spend A LOT of time on the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and other Amendments with the boys. They don’t pass the merit badge without knowing the basics of what is in the Constituion and at least know that the Bill of Rights are (knowing what amedments are what). I’m going to order a bunch of the “Citizens Rule books” from Alex’s shop for handing out to the boys – a lot easier and cheaper than printing copies of all the stuff from the web. This has just made me even MORE adimant about teaching this stuff.

Well I am a parent of a child that is in the Local Sherriffs explorer program that is sponsores by the Boy Scouts of America. Let me explain something to you in case it is not clear. The article that was written by the New York Times was a buch of Crap. The children are given training that is needed to become police officers when they grow up. Along with this traing comes a lot of community service. My children have spent many hours serving breakfast to senior citizens, helping poor children purchase christmas presents and various other projects. They have also marched and held high the US flag for the funeral of many fallen police and fire officers. It disgusts me that they have been painted in this light. People should really check into things and get there facts straight.

Yep, Aaron… I filmed a US Border Watch Rally here in Houston on May 2. A veteran was taken to jail for dropping an “f” bomb to provocateurs. Supposedly, these provocateurs have thrown rocks and bottles at Border Watch during previous protests….. even tried to run one of the Border Watch people over… yet the police did nothing. This is a tactical stack…a common tactic use for dynamic entry when rounding a corner by SF and SWAT teams. When a real op is underway they will be in body armor.

Haven’t heard the term “dynamic entry” before, but they are in a movement formation before they do an entry. If you notice each person in line has his weapon pointed in a different direction.(or at least should) The second guy is looking up. Third guy should be looking out and the last looking back. When they rush through the door, breach, or etc etc. The first guy will point his weapon center then right, or direction of least resistance and move that way. Second will start center and go left moving and sweeping his weapon. Third will go straight in and check up. Forth guy essentially covers the door, maintains security outside and serves as backup should 1 of the first three go down. This is standard for a 4 man fire team. The photo shows five guys. Can’t expect boyscouts to get everything right.

DoD reports that this technique used against a fortified enemy results in 70% casualty rate. (mostly because it is very hard to identify targets separate from friendly’s in that split second on entry, and it’s very difficult to engage while being pushed forward by rear members of the stack). Great for training and tactical ’show of force’ posture, but in reality in a MOUT environment this type of entry is not preferred- and when it is used many times diversionary tactics are used such as the flash/bang grenade, etc. As a result, this type of entry is usually done once buildings have been cleared by other means FIRST.

Exactly, the army uses flash bangs or grenades and the police would use tear gas. Delta and the seals would blow out a wall instead of a door. It seems to me that the Swat is looking for show of force, i think in most cases there use is not needed for basic criminals, only peaceful seperatists and religous compounds;) or food co’ops. evil!! 70% casualty for who?? Hostages or entry teams. Against a determined defending enemy any tactic usually requires over 3 to 1 odds to succeed. I think if the ballon goes up, they will not care about the body count on either side, only that they have a major win or loss, and pushing more and more guys up against the wall is every idiots way to win. Think of the human waves of the chinese and russians and british and and and and. I completely agree that it is not the prefered MOUT tactic of thinking soldiers. We tried many different scenarios and found several that were much better but the one I explained is the one that is typically trained in many of the above mentioned groups.

Correct. I was referring to the assault team odds. This is especially high because we are not trained to kill indiscriminately. Instead, we are taught to use those precious seconds on entry to weed out the so-called ‘friendlies.’ This is why I believe this tactic is for show of force only. I agree that to a certain extent casualties are of little concern, until you start doing the math, realizing that manpower is the most valuable combat asset. So, in this sense, I do think body count matters. Modern tactical planning necessitates the calculation of potential losses, both in manpower and equipment and other assets in order to sustain operations- particularly in a MOUT environment where security is key and warm bodies are needed for security patrols and checkpoints critical to securing large geographical areas.

The real crime and criminal is the monsters putting guns in the hands of children and sending them into harms way. Yet children are no less dangerous with the power to kill than any adult. In Viet Nam the country side was agrarian and the people lived in bamboo hooches in small towns called villes. We would toss them c-rats in cans and candy bars if we like them (they would throw the date pudding back). The babys and children would run to meet to us and beg with hands out if we moved through the ville. Most infants wore a t shirt and no diapers. In hostile villes Mommasan would sometimes tie a grenade to the baby and send it running toward the GI’s and pull the pin. The kid would go up in smoke with anyone that was close too. After that then GI’s would shoot at kids running toward them. Conditioning.
Nothing has changed except the place.

My ex mother in law was from Germany. Very nice lady. Married American GI. She refused to let my ex become involved in scouting. I found it odd, not being well veresed in history at the time. She said, “Ill I needed to see was little boys in knee socks and shorts…..and said, No No No, not again….”

I have a Tiger Cub Scout, I am training him the True Ethics of being a Scout and an American. He will be trained to be a Patriot, to stand up for what is right and what he believes in. as an Eagle Scout myself, I am absolutly disgusted by this development, but its sad to say I saw it coming. So if they are added to the ranks of black uniformed nazi forces, so be it. Scoutmasters need to counter train them to the orginal principles of the BSA. Well, my rant is becoming reality. The good old Boy Scouts are embracing the Hitler Youth Corps model. Take ‘em young, train ‘em ‘right’, turn ‘em into good, no great, no UBER-NAZIS. Actually the boy scouts were formed to prepare the youth for eventual fighting in foreign wars when they come of age. This was done after WWI whan they found a large number of Army recruits malnourshed and / or unfit for service. The scout uniforms and badges reinforce the armed forces connection. Not saying this is bad in-itself but the scouts aren’t just about ‘doing good deeds’.

Wrong, the Mormons actually have taken over the Boy Scouts – that is a known fact. Our roundtable metings are now HELD at the local Mormon Temple….. I told them I will not attend them while the remain there. My 4th great grandfather was one of the original Scoutmasters in the U.S. when it first came to the U.S. – I’m just carrying on the tradition – but not THIS kind of tradition mentioned in this article. My grandfather is turning in his grave over this!!!

I read this and I’m ashamed to say I was a boy scout in the late 80’s early 90’s and worked my ass off to get that eagle scout award. I kept my old uniform and merit badges and kitschz in a box for memory’s sake, so if I ever had a son (not yet…) I would be able to tell him about it. With this news, Im gonna burn that damned thing because the boy scouts I grew up with obviously ceased to exist a long time ago.

Last one I had was the 1987 edition, and it was much the same as that, with the addition of more stuff on conservation and TRUE environmental protection- respecting nature, using only what you need, etc., and not this fake assed psuedo-science, pop-psychobabble bullshit, new age non-sense about global warming and carbon foot prints. By the time I got my Eagle in 1992, they were starting to require this citizenship in the world horse shit and by the time I was done with it all (turned 18 and was too old to participate) there was a real push away from the pro patriotic, pro american traditional values aspect of the organization.

This is another one of those stories where people are reading into things way too far. The Explorer programs have been around for decades and there are many different programs that the scouts can join. There is a program where they work w/ police and emergency crews and it’s like a mentor program. It gets the kids started on a career path early and gives them goals. The gov is NOT seeking out scouts to become the next Gestapo. Don’t get me wrong there is a lot of good information on Infowars but you do still need to do your own research as well. Just as there are a lot of sheep following the Gov dont be a sheep yourself when it comes to this site. Here is a quote from the BSA web site. FYI I am an Eagle Scout and I was in the Explorer program just not one that deals with the police. These programs are voluntary they are not recrutied
“Exploring is a worksite-based program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Explorer posts organizations match youth career interests and develop activities that initiate growth, learning and development. I am a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader for my two children’s groups..I have yet to hear of this sort of thing, I will definitely keep an eye out. We are in fact teaching our kids survival training, not with weapons though. Many of the parent’s are part of the AWAKE group that I hold in my home, so they know step by step what we do in scouts. I wonder what leaders will be getting next?

Yesterday I took my 4 y/o son to the dentist in Dothan, AL. A Saudi Air Force officer was there with his mummified wifeykins who couldn’t rub 2 words of English together (he was about as bad). They had 2 boys there, one to see the dentist. The dentist and staff fawned over these people like sick. I am a scout master and work with all ages of Scout, I have not seen this yet but I tell you the day that It happens we will go after the council and its charter. I am Ex military served 10 years in special operations. and we have other vets in are group . We are sick, of this crap we are considered right wing extremist now for that, we also teach are kids the constitution and our true history and what it means. But, I have noticed that they are changing the merit badges to more global view, they want us to teach our kids this BS. I tell you not on my watch. And yes, I did everything the men & boys did. Including completeing my Brotherhood for Order of the Arrow & believe me there were plently of men who weren’t “tough enough” to do this. I was just told about another child brainwashing campaign we are about to see by the Insurance companies in the name of Insurance Fraud.

They are needing these kids because when the fall happens and the pull the trigger on the full implemintation of the police state, they know that the soldiers won’t go for that so they need the police the police auxilary, brainwashed kids to act as Hitlers youth core and other people that are willing to stomp on the constitution. They will do it because they are told to (brainwashed) or are attracted to the power that they will have in the new order.
The man actually said that they wouldn’t be using this outside of the program, if that is so why do it and to this extent. They are trying to impress on this kids impressionable minds that this is the way to go and by FOLLOWING ORDERS (sound familiar) you can do no wrong. You know what sickens me about this whole thing and where our country is being led to. It’s that when people finally get there head out of the television and there little delusional problems, they will see the real world. A world that will literally make many of them go off the deep end. Not being able to trust your own kids or the neighbor kids, people snitching out other people so they can garner favor from the powerful etc. etc. etc.. When people have no retirement, no healthcare and no means to support themselves, they will do anything to become an “American” again in the eyes of the powerful.

This is a bunch of shit. I’m a proud member of the BSA and I can tell you first hand that we are not being trained to be the new gestapo. In facet the “explorer” was canceled about 15 years ago. People get your facts straight, The BSA is one of the most patriotic organizations out there, we espouse traditional American values, and have fought several legal battles to keep our organization that way.
Sure there are some venturing programs that see fit to attach themselves to police departments and such, however these are the exception not the norm. My venturing crew is much more interested in hiking and camping. Go see for yourself, go to your local boyscout troop and see if they are training to take down “terrorists”. I can guarantee you that they will not be. Sorry but Alex is wrong on this one.
If there is any group that you should worry about it is these new service groups suggested by the Obama administration. There is no way that they will have the same values that we have, they will not be nearly as patriotic. It is these groups, this forced volunteerism, that you should be scared of. Not the BSA. And look at it this way, at least you can voluntary join the BSA, If these forced volunteer programs come to fruition your kids will have no choice.

The Explorers are a tiny part of the Boy Scouts. They are usually older boys who are juniors of seniors in high school. They are not usually part of the normal Boy Scout troops. Explorer Scouts are less about camping and survival skills and fun, and more about learning job opportunities like police work and fire fighting. It is not a surprise that some posts would be taking part in Homeland Security training as a means of learning about security employment. They won’t be the Hitler/Obama Youth people are so worried about because they are doing this to learn about the job and not for ideological reasons. Also, the Explorers are a tiny fragment of the Boy Scouts of America and should not be taken as representative of the organization by any means.

I know of nobody who claims that “the holocaust never happened”,I do however agree that 6 million did not die,it was more like 200,000(as estimated by the American Red Cross when they examined the camps in 1945).
These people died of typhus and starvation.

i am with ryan, the explorers are seperate from the scouts, and arent even offered in all areas.
my son is on his way to becoming an eagle scout and as requirements he must learn and report about the constitutin and bill of rights and what it means to be a good american.
he is taught(by me and then futher learns from scouts) about real truth and not the pablum that we are fed by the main stream.
scouting is still, in my opinion, a safe harbor for truth.

Wow! My sons are in the scouts. I am a bit shocked. Our children enjoy the scouts and I did not want them alone with complete strangers so my husband (having been a scout as a child) decided he would become assistant cub master. Our scout groups go fishing, hiking, camping and they do food drives, parades and community clean up events. I have yet to see any group in our area engage in this sort of thing. If we did we certainly would not allow our scouts to take part in this kind of crap.

Explorers are not boy scouts, they do not follow the same gays and god doctrine, all are welcome and accepted. this is a great program that is completely voluntary that teaches teamwork, communication, officer safety and respect for others. The are not ever allowed to carry real weapons. The article was wriiten to incite and inflame the american public.
These kids are not ever allowed to go on patrol or enorce any type of laws, they are young adults expressing an interest in law enforcement. What is not portrayed in the article is the vast amount of communty service these kids supply to their local communities. Neither is it shown that these kids in the lower socioeconmic areas are sometimes the first in their families to finish high scool and move on to college. This article is extremely irrisponsible and the worst piece of yellow journalism I have ever seen. The author should be ashamed

How many of you believe this just because it was written? My husband and I have been involved in Boy Scouts for the past 8 years and this is not Boy Scouts of America!! The majority of troops are traditional troops that focus on first aid, camping, outdoor survival, citizenship and duty to God. The next majority of troops are actually Venture Crews that are co-ed, but they are mainly about doing the high venture type activities such as white water rafting, rock climbing, rapelling, backpack camping, etc. The explorer posts have been diminishing over the years and do not train for fighting terrorism. Each post is chartered by an organization such as police department or fire station and that is the focus of the activities and training they will get. If such an explorer post exists, it most likely will be only along the southern border of the U.S. and would be chartered by a border patrol and mostly made up of children and friends of children of border patrol workers. This article makes it sound like BSA’s whole focus is on militarizing all scouts. This is bad journalism. Show me the facts on just how many explorer posts are doing this out of how many total troops in the USA.
