Of course, this would lead to total global tyranny. Our only real option is to abandon this monetary system altogether and let the system fail so we can figure out something better than this fractional-reserve bullshit. Unfortunately, the political elites of the G7 who are in it for themselves (of course), are going to prop-up and bail-out their way to that single currency system, and we will probably get that global tyranny one way or another. I dearly hope the nightmare of global government will at that time come to an end and those people who brought us there will serve as a warning to future generations. I'm afraid that this world is going to experiment with global government regardless of its dire consequences though. Our political elites never shied away from developing and using nuclear bombs, and look where that got us.
