The Watford Borough Council policy has been attacked as insulting and a disgrace by furious relatives who say they are being labelled as potential paedophiles.
It will further fuel concerns over a growing nanny state amid the deepening row over the Government’s new national anti-paedophile database.
That will see at least 11 million adults have to be vetted to work with children or vulnerable adults, including parents who give officials lifts to and from social or sports clubs.

I’m old already. I’m a lucky one. By chance
I was born soon enough to enjoy the U.S.
when it was still a fairly free nation. EXAMPLE:
When I was 15 I bought a used car for $100.
I had already sent my name in to the state
capital and received a driver’s license in the
mail. It cost $2.
To “register” my car I went downtown to the
hardware store. Mr. Gardner, the owner, kept
a box of license plates under the counter. I
presented him with the title and $8 and he
reached under the counter and handed me
a license plate. That was it.
Same with telephones. I see people standing
out in the rain using a phone. When I was a
kid you didn’t even have to DIAL! You picked
up the receiver, turned the crank and Margaret
the operator came on the line. She knew all
our voices and would ask about the family.
Then I would just say: “Can you get me Joe
over to the Texaco, please?”
The call would go through fine and our phone
bill was $3 per month. To mail a letter cost 5c.
A big Hershey bar did too, and so did a Coke.
If you wanted to start repairing cars, or paint
houses, or fix tractors, or sell butter & eggs
you put a sign out by the mailbox and you
were in business. You know the BEST part
about it? EVERYTHING WORKED FINE.
So I’m a THREAT to the NWO BECAUSE my
memory is too good. Younger folks think things
were always this way. They don’t know better.
But I’m still spry enough that I have a little HOPE
that somehow, some way, after a LOT of battles,
blood sweat and tears, we JUST MIGHT get back
the nation I knew and made a good life in.
I WANT more than anything for my grandkids
to EXPERIENCE FREEDOM, instead of it just
being an old story told by Grandpa, and I’m
willing to DIE FIGHTING TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Think what you want. I have been to many tea party protests but since it is impossible for me to prove it to you, to speak further on this subject is pointless. However, you know I have a point. Why did our Founding Fathers rebel, and 6 million Jews did not? Why did our founding fathers refuse to give in to gun confiscation, but Great Britain let their government confiscate firearms without so much as a shot (as far as I know?)
Were people living in the 1700s much braver over all because life was crappier overall? Does a crappy, American Idol-less and video game – less life where starvation is a real possiblity better develop the “stomach and guts for war?” If we go by that logic, then I would think all poverty ridden aids infested Africans would fight to the death against their government as they truly have nothing to lose…. in all likihood they might starve to death by next month. Is it cultual? Are Jews tought to be pacifists? Why did our American ancestors fight tyranny, but other people seem not to?

I woke up this morning and realized something. I have never ever seen one post that suggested somehow we help our friends and brothers in england fight the tyranny they are facing. About the only thing I’ve ever seen you guys write is “if they still had their guns…” Well we still have our guns and are quickly on our way to being in the same boat, but what bothers me even more is that there seems to be no concern in this country for their plight, why is that?
If you lived in england, how would you like to read all the selfishness and denial that goes on here in these posts. What would someone from over there think when they see you say “if they still had their guns…” and meanwhile there’s about ten guns per person in this country, I think my handle says it all doesn’t it?

The French used the guillotine. I’m beginning to think that their “royalty” was on the same level – totally removed from the sufferings of its people, and the people finally had enough. One thing we CAN do is pray for them. The world is in this together. I asked one of them point blank if he could make a guillotine and he immediately answered that he could, without asking why I was inquiring about this. Make DVD’s and distribute. A friend of mine leaves them in public restrooms on the sinks. He simple writes “free movie” on the disc and sleeve. First, no one is sure who left them there if you do it while the restroom is empty. Second, I think they have yet to stick cameras in restrooms even in Britain. Anonymity is almost assured, as is that folks will take them home and at least pop the disc in and watch some of it. many will kick it out and trow it away, but a few will share it with trusted friends, copy them, and follow your example. I kept him well stocked with movies while he and his wife “dropped” them on park benches, in restrooms at restaurants, movie theaters and gas stations. It brings a smile to my face when I hear him tell me of DVD’s that he see’s in these same places that he did not leave there.

Pretty much it’s true. I live here. There is no Alex Jones in the UK, not that I know of anyway. If there is, no one knows about it. Politics is a non-issue. Even the older generations aren’t involved at all and are willing to to roll over and accept everything.
It’s totally true, it’s not just me thinking it! Britons just watch TV all the time, there is no element of critical thought in any aspect of life. I attribute this directly to the amount of TV watched and how is programs to brain into pure acceptance of facts.
The BBC is SO SO SO biased it’s amazing, even though they have a public impression of being somewhat liberal and balanced. Not at all true, just spewing the same propaganda filth from the US.
While all governments worldwide effectively do this, in the UK it’s totally biased but they’ll play it off as if there is some element of balance to it. I never listen to the BBC anymore, it’s all total mainstream crap.

I live in the UK (down the road from Watford actually). In England it’s somehow ingrained in the culture that adults are guilty paedofiles before proved guilty. It’s really like that, adults won’t even approach kids in case they get branded a child molester. People here are totally stupid, they think everyone is a paedofile. Totally in fear with no evidence. I have noticed that any case involving children get such an extreme coverage in the media that it makes people totally irrational.
I’ve never checked the statistics, but I would guess that paedofilia is not more rife in the UK than other country, but the media have really really hyped up any peodofile cases and now there is a fear spread scross the whole population. I anyone it’s the bloody priests and bishops, damn scum with power positions.

Pretty funny how most people here seem to understand whats going on yet the majority of posts just seem to be about abusing British people, surely its bests to communicate in a way that helps uncover the source of these problems, not divide against each other. I could just rant on about how although Americans do infact have guns and keep whining on about how somehow guns = there own personal freedoms despite the fact you already live in a far right police state thus personal gun ownership does jack shit unless you actualy use them. The constitution also did not intend for every single citizen to be carrying guns at all times or envisinged the total lack of any firearm control in a civilian population which in your country has now lead to epidemic level of gun crime. The constitution stipulated the right to bear arms in the even militias would be required to stand against tyranny. OH BUT LOOK THAT HASNT HAPPEND AND NEVER WILL.
But lets not rant on about the complete lack of understanding of what it means to bear arms.
Britain, as it stands is nowhere near the orwellian level of control america is under, this law as crazy as it is serves one purpose. SO THE LOCAL COUNCIL DOESNT END UP GETTING SUED INTO THE GROUND FOR LETTING A PEDO WORK WITH CHILDREN. Its more a matter legal bueraucracy than anything else, the law is also you should note totaly unenforceable unless you happen to be working directly with a council related scheme.

I will be clear. I don’t give a damn what laws they implement in the US, I will never have cameras in my home, I will never ask for a permit to enjoy activities with my children. No bureaucrat is going to infringe on my rights as a parent to reasonably discipline my children when necessary. No way, no how. No CPS goon squad is going to remove my children from our home by force. If I want to read the bible to my children, I will. If I want them to memorize the Bill of Rights, they will. If I ask them to take up arms in defense of our family, they will. My 8 year old daughter is quite handy with an AR15.
