The full page ad in Ruppert Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal for its “Future of Finance Initiative” starts off by saying that the financial system has stopped working.

The financial system is working for the first time since Bob Rubin and his colleagues created the “strong dollar policy” complete with gold market manipulation and mortgage bubble. It is working because a wide group of market participants do not want to invest capital in unproductive activities or banks, lawyers and accounting firms that intentionally engage in criminal fraud.
To date, the Fed and Treasury theory is that $10 trillion of central bank and government guarantees and subsidies will permit a fraudulent system to continue to function. The answer is, of course, no it won’t. Hence, the proposal for a new initiative to make sure markets are not allowed to work.
I got my MBA at Wharton. I have heard it all my life and I know it is true. When something is unproductive, overpriced or unhealthy, markets shift capital away. That is a good thing.
A market is like a human body in trauma. It moves the blood away from the toes and preserves it for the heart, brain and lungs.

This conundrum of keeping the unproductive in control is why the Administration is proposing a massive defense and enforcement budget. Only financial totalitarianism can keep something this expensive and destructive going.
Such arrogance proves that we do indeed need markets to continue to work. We need those who need $10 trillion of bailouts (and counting) to fail and, as legendary investor Jim Rodger suggests, learn how to drive a taxi, or better yet a tractor.
Gentlemen, “the time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end.”

Putin denies new world currency rumor
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has denied rumors that a new world currency could appear soon.
“The United States’ financial and political authorities would never surrender the dollar; they would fight to the end,” he said, answering people’s questions at an employment center in the city of Podolsk yesterday. During the Great Depression of the 1930s, production in the U.S. dropped 40 percent, while it is currently down only 2 percent.
Putin expects the U.S. economy to recover, sooner or later. “There is no doubt about it. We don’t know what could happen if they go on with the same flawed economic policy they have been pursuing over the past few years, but there should be no tragedy in the medium term,” he emphasized.
At the same time, Putin said the Russian government is in a position to support the ruble even if oil prices collapse. The ruble has stabilized against the dollar and euro, he added, expressing confidence that the national currency will strengthen.
“The Central Bank is not planning any changes in the near future, and there are no reasons for that,” he noted, also adding that Russia was receiving a lot of foreign currency in the form of export revenues. “The inflow of foreign currency through exports is offset by the outflow through imports,” Putin explained.
“If there are no further dramatic changes on international markets – not one-off events but long-term trends – then nothing will happen. Even if oil prices drop for a short period, it is not too bad, as we can keep the balance using our reserves,” he concluded.
Russia’s trade surplus in January 2009 reached $8.4 billion, down $12.1 billion from January 2008, the Federal Customs Service reported. The country’s foreign trade turnover stood at $25.7 billion in January (Belarus’ figures included), down 46.6 percent year-on-year. Exports nosedived 50.3 percent to $17 billion, including $2.4 billion with the CIS countries (down 52.8 percent) and down $14.6 billion (down 49.9 percent) with other countries. Fuel and energy products accounted for 69 percent of Russia’s exports in January 2009, against 75.5 percent a year earlier.
Imports dropped 37.4 percent to $8.7 billion, including $1.1 billion from the CIS (down 47.6 percent) and $7.6 billion from other countries (down 35.5 percent).
Russia’s international reserves stood at $384.3 billion as of February 27, up $2.4 billion or 0.6 percent from $381.9 billion a week before, the Central Bank of Russia reported. Gold and foreign currency reserves are highly liquid financial assets controlled by the Central Bank and the Finance Ministry. They consist of foreign currency assets, monetary gold, special drawing rights, the reserve position in the International Monetary Fund, and other reserve assets.

How can people tell if the gutting of the country’s economy is from congressional criminals making bad laws on purpose, or by inept accident? It’s a healthy thing to be suspicious of who is perpetrating economic terrorism on whom and for what reason. I trust our current federal government with the same trust that the founders had for King George. I’ve lost ALL trust in our current government. I can’t predict if the bottom of the Dow Jones Industrials is going to be zero. It may be zero. God only knows!

Katz, your question is valid put I do not think it is a sound argument, because if you take the question of the government’s ineptitude a step further, you have to account for the fact that our government has experts of every kind on their payroll.
If average people, like most of those on this site, can see the innumerable flaws of logic in the financial system, then these ‘experts’ have known about these criminal acts long before the general public would even be able to take a wiff of their stink.
So to answer your perhaps rhetorical question, I believe that everything that is happening has been completely orchestrated primarily due to the ignorance of the populous and their willingness to partisipate in a corrupt system in exchange for a few creature comforts. Unfortunately these people have incrementally had their liberties snached from under them. This is the definition of facisim is the doctorines upon which the UN and it’s satellite groups were founded.

I have an urgent message for infowars, more important than any message you can
hear. God is Holy and cannot accept sin. Why are there famine, disasters,

John 3:16. Jesus suffered a horrible death and rose again 3 days later to take
the penalty of YOUR sins! He loved you so much that He provided a way for man
to escape the lake of fire! All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust
in Him to save you). That is it! No works or anything you do can save you! May
God open your eyes, that one day I may see you in heaven. Read the Word of
God(I recommend the King James version) before rejecting it! Death is fleeting.
You may NOT have tomorrow! For death comes when we least expect it! Make sure
you are saved TODAY! The Bible condemns the rich, the wealthy, those who take
advantage of the poor, so it CANNOT have been made up by the elite. Because the
Word clearly CONDEMNS people such as those! Read the Word for yourself and see
that the claims are true!!!
I am a Christian, and STILL struggle with sin. Many so called Christians are
arrogant and hypocritical and think they have it all together. It is my desire
to do RIGHT as a Christian but will falter just like anyone else.

Truther, I don’t think the Bible condemns the rich – only those who trust in their riches. The Bible does say that it is hard for a rich man to enter heaven, but not impossible. It says this because the tendency of the rich is to trust in their riches and to forget God (which explains why so many rich and elite will be in hell), but I’m pretty sure not every single rich person is like that. If God hated wealth, he would not have blessed Job or Solomon with so many riches. As for everything else you have written, Amen.
