I agree completely, and “peacefully” is the key word. We need a good solution though. The Zeitgeist movement solution – The Venus Project – has some good ideas, but it’s a little too radical.

How about you just make your own garden, build your own workshop, trade your lettuce for someone else to refurbish your furniture, or trade your old soda cans for parts someone casts with their home foundry.
Look up CNC machining, Gingery foundry, instructables.com, there are millions of things you could do right now to start building a new system, a better system to undermine the current diseased one that is killing us all.
You just got to get up and do it. Plant a seed, buy a drill press and get to work!
Localized economies built on a trade/barter monetary system, cuts off income taxes and sales taxes and isolates you from whatever hardships they try to impose on you with their new global financial system. Global finances means jack when the food, resources, craftsmanship all comes from you and your neighbor’s backyard. Its possible, its already happening – most of this desperate push to retard everyone, and slow things down with this crash is to stop it.
Check out CNC and the reprap project. If that ends up in the hands of the people, the current global economy is extinct and the power whores that built it will go with it.!!!
