Bush & McCain Blackmail America With Economic Terrorism

From shying away from even mentioning such terms as “recession,” “unemployment” or “bank failures,” Bush, Bernanke and Paulson are now vigorously invoking the fear of financial meltdown as part of a campaign of economic terror to blackmail the American people into accepting the power-grabbing “bailout,” while John McCain, who last week said the fundamentals of the economy are strong, is now all but threatening to cancel the election should the proposal not receive swift passage.
Bush’s speech last night was a throwback to his March 2003 stump before the invasion of Iraq – replace words like “weapons of mass destruction” with “financial panic” and the tone of the two is not dissimilar.
Bush rammed home the fear by appealing to people’s personal anxieties.
“More banks could fail, including some in your community. The stock market would drop even more, which would reduce the value of your retirement account. The value of your home could plummet. Foreclosures would rise dramatically,” barked the President.
“And if you own a business or a farm, you would find it harder and more expensive to get credit. More businesses would close their doors, and millions of Americans could lose their jobs.”
Bernanke and Paulson spewed similar rhetoric during Tuesday’s Senate Banking Committee meeting. Compare their dire proclamations with their outright refusal to even entertain the notion of a recession as little as seven months ago.
Now Paulson tells us that people “should be scared” and that the only solution is for taxpayers to foot the bill to the tune of $700 billion dollars – a number we now learn was simply pulled out of thin air by the Treasury – while the Federal Reserve swallows up all manner of new regulation powers.
It seems that almost overnight these three stooges have gone from behaving like sedated zombies to end-times doomsayers.
Furthermore, John McCain, the man who as recently as last week proclaimed that “the fundamentals of the economy are sound,” is now canceling presidential debates, and some fear greasing the skids for the postponement of the presidential election itself, by insisting he and Obama “return to Washington” in order to put their weight behind the bailout.
As the George Washington Blog notes, McCain is basically implying, “Vote for the bailout or I’ll pull out of the election”.
The financial terrorism being perpetrated by Bush, McCain, Bernanke, Paulson and the rest of these criminals in threatening Americans with unbridled chaos unless they acquiesce to political demands, and the coordinated ferocity with which it is being delivered, is necessary for the crooks because they are desperate to get the bailout passed before Congress really has a chance to digest exactly what it stands for.
This is what’s called the “shock doctrine,” the accelerated passage of what is essentially dictatorial legislation without proper scrutiny by means of exploiting a temporary state of fear.
This is not just about $700 billion of taxpayers’ money and the continued sacking of the dollar, it’s about the imposition of a giant new infrastructure of control and regulation on behalf of the private, run for profit, Federal Reserve.

Bush even alluded to it last night, stating that Paulson’s bailout would mean the “Federal Reserve would be authorized to take a closer look at the operations of companies across the financial spectrum.”
But this is merely scratching the surface. As Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky., said, “This massive bailout is not a solution. It is financial socialism and it’s un-American.” In fact properly defined, one could label it “national socialism,” otherwise known as fascism.
As professor of economics at New York University Nouriel Roubini framed it, welcome to the United Socialist States of America and “the most radical regime change in global economic and financial affairs in decades”.
The plan was drawn up months ago, lying in wait for the right crisis to see it enacted, just as the Patriot Act was prepared well in advance of 9/11.
The Treasury’s fact sheet about the bailout states, “The Secretary will have the discretion, in consultation with the Chairman of the Federal Reserve, to purchase other assets, as deemed necessary to effectively stabilize financial markets.”
This gives the government and the Federal Reserve carte blanche to do whatever they want to long as it is done in the name of stabilizing financial markets, they can nationalize any company or industry and use taxpayer money, above and beyond the initial $700 billion, for whatever purpose is deemed necessary, without any oversight. Paulson’s bailout plan is also unreviewable by any court, it will remain in perpetuity.
Paulson’s draft bailout plans says: “The Secretary’s authority to purchase mortgage-related assets under this Act shall be limited to $700,000,000,000 outstanding at any one time.”
As Chris Martenson writes, “This means that $700 billion is NOT the cost of this dangerous legislation, it is only the amount that can be outstanding at any one time. After, say, $100 billion of bad mortgages are disposed of, another $100 billion can be bought. In short, these four little words assure that there is NO LIMIT to the potential size of this bailout. This means that $700 billion is a rolling amount, not a ceiling.”
“The bill would bar courts from reviewing actions taken under its authority,” reports Bloomberg.
The Bush administration seeks “dictatorial power unreviewable by the third branch of government, the courts, to try to resolve the crisis,” said Frank Razzano, a former assistant chief trial attorney at the Securities and Exchange Commission now at Pepper Hamilton LLP in Washington. “We are taking a huge leap of faith.”
“It sounds like Paulson is asking to be afinancial dictator, for a limited period of time,” said historian John Steele Gordon.
Reporter Larisa Alexandrovna calls it “the final stages of the coup,” noting, “This manufactured crisis is now to be remedied, if the fiscal fascists get their way, with the total transfer of Congressional powers (the few that still remain) to the Executive Branch and the total transfer of public funds into corporate (via government as intermediary) hands.”
The legislation would provide billions to foreign central banks in addition to private foreign banks.
The proposed move represents a total shift of U.S. taxpayers’ funds into the hands of powerful private interests, some of which do not even represent American companies.
The bailout bill represents the most fascist centralization of power in America since 9/11 and the Patriot Act – and many would argue that it even trumps that. The fiscal terrorists hope to ram through their agenda by appealing to people’s fears about the economy, their jobs, their houses and their pensions. But the temporary pain brought on by a Wall Street crash and a severe recession would be nothing compared to the long term death knell that the bailout bill would mean to the free market and economic liberty in America.

Everyone write your representatives and tell them to support H.R. 2755 that was introduced by Ron Paul. It calls for the federal reserve to be abolished within a 1 year timetable. Post blogs about it and write everyone you know regarding the subject. Lets get this resolution passed.

Call your state and local representatives to voice your concern on the banking institutions situation. Tell them the election process must go on. Ask them why the cost of bill is the same amount for the military budget of the 2009 fiscal year. Keep calling and light up there switchboards This bailout must not happen and it should be the bankers fault. Let the failed financial institutions executives sit behind bar and not our pocketbooks.

McCain has no power, he cannot cancel the election. He’s free to drop out of it, I say let him go ahead. And this whole thing is to give the illusion to the voter’s that they even have a choice in supporting this bailout, as it’s not the voter’s voting on the bailout but Congress, who are already bought and paid for. On the big picture these possible wars in Iran,Georgia,Russia,Columbia are just to be used if we do not pass the bailout.
If we do not pass bailout they will declare war and martial law.
The October surprise is Martial Law and forced bailout if you do not peacefully approve it.
They have the troops in place, they have many reasons to declare National Emergency.

Bring all your old unit buddies too. We need to organize and obtain logistical support and perform site surveys, plan defensive positions before the runaway units are deployed on American soil. We will attempt to inform and alert the young advancing American Soldiers thru their family members. We must use audio and visual messages demanding a cease in their agressive posture which is in violation of the constitution which they have sworn to defend….. Intel, where are the staging areas for these runaway units? We need audio and visual broadcasts as they mount, we need to plant a seed in their minds before they leave those staging areas… Even before they reach them…. Who is their chain of Command? Attempts must be made to contact them NOW!!!!

There’s a simple answer to this: don’t give them what they want. If every working person in the US refused to pay taxes, it would bring the system to its knees. If one person or a handful refuse, the IRS goes after them, but can the IRS go after ALL of us? Nope.
This coming April 15th, not only refuse to file and pay, get out into the streets. EVERYONE. No going to work or school, don’t buy anything, not even gas. Assert your right to assemble peacefully in the streets, flags and copies of the constitution in hand. AND SHUT THE SYSTEM DOWN! Bring cameras as well, upload your protests to the internet, record all acts of police brutality, esp if it involves the military or blackwater types in any way. Its time to take back this country, business as usual isn’t going to work and neither is taking part in some bs fixed election.

Our economy is being steered into the proverbial iceberg and will surely sink like the Titanic. The fat cats in Washington and the big bankers are the rats jumping ship. They have all the lifeboats and are only making room for Wall Street. Do you think they’ll share? They’ll be too busy pointing fingers from a safe place while we’re drowning in the sea of debt we’ll be expected to pay. Not since Ross Perot and Ralph Nader. No matter what you think of Perot or Nader, do you think it’s fair for the ruling parties to stack the deck against third party candidates?
Did you know we have more than Obama and McCain running? Why don’t we hear anything about the others? Why don’t they get equal time? Why are they not being allowed to participate in the debates? It’s time to let the government know We The People will not stand by and allow them to continue voting themselves raises while we struggle to feed our families. We will not allow them to bring this country to her knees in the name of bailing out greedy bankers who took advantage of millions seeking to own their own homes. We will not allow the government to force us to foot the bill while they pass more bills to empty our pockets and crush the American people into servitude.
What they are doing is economic terrorism. Will their retirement funds be touched? Will their mortgages suffer? Do they care? No, no and no. This election is nothing more than a barrage of childish finger pointing infomercials to avoid real solutions to real issues. It has turned into a circus complete with a lineup of political pick pocketing clowns making promises they have no intention of keeping. Glib-tongued snake oil salesmen. They make promises and when those promises are broken, they lay blame on the opposing party without owning up to their own faults.
Our country is fast becoming one of the most laughed at, hated countries in the world. We are making more enemies and alienating our allies. More war and taxes are on the horizon. Our troops are stretched across the globe and costing us billions every week to fight for what? What is our interest in fighting? Terrorism? Oil? To instill democracy? Why does our government think we must play big brother to all nations? If we took all the money spent on war, foreign aid, or useless, sneaky pork barrel spending and invested it into the real needs of America and her people, where would we be? The Democrats and Republicans would never allow that anymore than they’d take a pay-cut.
Both parties have proven they can’t be trusted. They count on us to vote for the lesser of two evils, but evil is still evil. They count on us to pay more attention to American Idol, football, Deal or No Deal, than to what’s going on. They count on us to have short memories so we believe in the false promises they spew instead of researching the truth. They tell us about the other candidate’s dirty laundry to make themselves look good and hope you won’t dig too deeply into their own laundry bag.
If you haven’t registered to vote, I urge you do do so. It’s not too late. Please vote. Not voting is wasting your vote. Research third party candidates and pick one of them instead of voting for the two-headed dragon. This goes for President, Congress, House, and local elections. Look to see who is third party in your state, district, county, town. Make a statement. Make a stand. Don’t just decide to kick out Democrats or Republicans because they have let us down. Give them both the boot. There are over 300 million people in the USA. If only half of the registered voters (I can’t seem to find anything solid regarding the number of registered voters) voted third party, the reign of the two-headed dragon would come to an end. It may not even take half. I know there are a lot of registered voters who are opting not to vote this election just because the candidates are not very appealing. Here in Canada there seems to be an overwhelming attitude that we are somehow magically insulated from the tyranny taking place in the US. The reality is, is that the majority of all our foreign trade is done with the US. Take that away and we are also screwed. What good is our stockpile of natural resources if there is nobody left to buy them?
If the US goes down, which it obviously is, we go down, eventually if not sooner, as well.

I am so sick and tired of Bush and Cheney… and now McCain and the Republican agenda!
People, we have to take back control of all of this mess! The time is getting very near that we must RISE and REBEL as a nation, to take it back TO and FOR the people! Of course, any indication that we are about to do that and this failed government led by Bush and Cheney, will declare martial law and things will get much worst before it gets any better! But it is already heading for the worst part of it anyways!
Folks, it is ALL WRONG! The system is not working on the way it’s been run all these years! We vote our politicians in office to work for us- not against us! This resolution was introduced by none other than Ron Paul and is known as the “Federal Reserve Board Abolition Act” which will repeal the Federal Reserve Act and abolish the US Federal Reserve at the end of 1 year after its passing into law. I believe ‘we the people’ are the pawns in a game of chicken being played between the financial services industry (hereinafter referred to as “crooks”) and the governemt regulators of said industry (hereinafter referred to as “fools”). The crooks have threatened to deny the public access to their own money unless the fools furnish them with the cash to pay out as redemptions rise. This is necessary because the crooks don’t have the cash due to over-leveraged losing bets on plow horses at a track where thoroughbreds are supposed to be racing (My apologies to the horsey set.). By threatening to stiff the public just a few short weeks before an election, the crooks hope to double down on their position in this game. Let’s call it what it is – financial terrorism! Everybody please read this. Look What they (government) is not saying, is that the treasury has a credit rating itself, like a triple A rating. Lets say that they lose this rating what does that mean. They cant borrow money from these foreign banks or countries to keep operations running in the usa. Ok what does that mean for you somebody pass the word that the treasury is fixin to lose their credit rating and let an credit event happen and believe me it will cause im betting that its sombody out there with a credit default swap on the government. The reason George Bush, Bernake, and Paulson were pushing so hard for the passage of this bill was so that McCain could do something dramatic during his Presidential Campaign, and to avoid sitting side by side with Obama in a Televised debate. This would only hurt McCain.
So they dreamed up this outrageous request, designed to anger the populace. Well, it certainly did that. Then they tried to ram it through as fast as possible. The stupid thing was only 3 pages long, called for the establishment of an economic king, and called for a blatant raping of the People. We were angered!!! The Republicans and Democrats mysteriously began working together, and this morning, talk was that the deal was all but signed, and the People were readying themselves for a real @ss pounding. Then John McCain runs to Washington, throwing a wrench in everyone’s plans! LOL How Presidential. My God! This reads like a stupid TV script! And the Democrats were in on it!!!! Playing right along. I feel like I’m getting a raw deal. I’m 41 years old and prior to this election, I never gave a flying eff about politics and now I get to follow this messed up BS. Okay I have a theory about this 700 billion dollar request from those GIVE IT TO US NOW OR ELSE fat cat money guys. But first I feel like I need to provide a small portion of personal history because my theory ties in with the 911 event. It took me a long time before I began to develop a different view on the 911 WTC attack. Now that I’ve seen what I consider creditable evidence that clearly indicates something more than simply Al Qaeda stole some planes and crashed them into the WTC. That idea is one of the things that really convinces me of a bigger picture. I’m not an expert by all means but looking at Al Qaeda’s MO for the last 2 decades we see car bombs, boats with bombs, and IEDs. Then one day out of 20 years they decide they want to fly some of our planes into buildings.
Okay here’s my theory. The Government (Bush Administration) planned and orchestrated the 911 attacks so they can pretend to go look for Osama (who has been in bed with Bush on the whole thing to begin with) but really invade Iqaq. Okay part one for the Bush administration is in motion. They took out the first of two giant financial entities of the United States based in New York. Now for part two. The Bush team huddles and goes over their next play. They’re saying so far so good. Now all we need to do is mess up the 2004 election and have our bookies fix the numbers so we can ensure a reelection for Bush. Okay now part 2 went just fine. Cigars and a bunch of money for the whole team. Okay so they huddle up one more time and discuss the next play. Okay guys what’s next? Let’s lay low for a while maybe do some covert operations, torture a few guys, do little to help out our own people (Katrina and Galveston) here in the US and send tons of rescue and relief supplies to other parts of the world. Then when the time is right we’ll put part 3 into motion. And part 3 is as follows We’ll shake up wall (the second of 2 giant financial entities based in New York) street and make people think the United States will plummet into hell if we don’t get 700 billion dollars. Then when they give us the money we’ll use it to fund an attack on Iran and (I hope what I’m about to write doesn’t happen because the FBI will most likely come a knocking if it does) then days before the inauguration of a new president we’ll have all the candidates running for president assassinated which would then allow Dick Cheney to become president of the United States. Of course at that point Cheney will appoint Bush as his VP.

Most American’s are taking the “wait and see” what happens after the election approach, as everyone seems to be crossing their fingers, hoping for the best, and hoping that all of this bad news will just go away. Most American’s have trouble actually realizing and believing that “their” .gov would lie to them, or somehow hurt them. So right now what America is going through is a very fast, and very sharp learning curve. Most American’s are finally catching on, that their .gov has lied to them, and is ripping them off daily at the gas pumps. And not to mention stealing all of their hard earned income through insane and out of control Bank Failure Bail Out’s that only benefit the Rich. Plus Tax’s, that are being wasted on endless, non-stop wars that are killing their friends and family and are benefitting no one, except the World Bankers.
It isn’t going to take very much longer, before all American’s finally realize what their only options left on the table for them to do is. To Take their Freedoms Back from the insane and out of control idiots in DC. American’s have a long history of being slow to react and move on big problems, that they thought they might be able to ignore, and it would just go away. Finally though, it dawns on all Americans, and they realize that the bottom line fact is, is that their problems are not going to just all go away by themselves like magic.
Finally American’s are realizing that they will have to swarm on DC, Grid-lock it, shut them down, and literally throw all of the lying ass, stealing, murdering bastards out of DC for good. This is what our Fore-Fathers had to do, it is in the bloodline of the American People to do it again, weather they think they can or not. All across America, people are finally waking up to the reality of how much they are being ripped off, and how much they are being lied to.
That knowledge is the catalyst that will very soon touch off the powder keg of the soon coming 2nd American Revolution.
Freedom really is worth fighting for, and all Americans know that fact. Some day soon, there will be a huge uprising all across America, and Millions will swarm all over DC and literally shut it all down, and throw the lying ass, murdering bastards out for good. Found this when I was searching for a copy of this act that paulson is trying to kill us with. My understanding of this act is that we give ron paulson the power to take our tax dollars how ever much it may be and do what ever he deems neccisary to lift the market and HE HAS ABSOLUTE CONTROL !!!!!!!!!!! holy crap Alex has been right all along. It seems to me that If they pass this act then americans will be handing basically all its X amount of money over to ron paulson thus he basically has complete control over the economy and our capital giving him the power over jobs, banks, homeowners, and just the welfare of the economy it self which would effect us all! Does the Constitution have any role in the intense debate and blowback surrounding Secretary Henry Paulson’s $700 billion bailout proposal? There is nothing in our founding document that prohibits taxing Peter (us) to pay Paul (Wall Street). There are constitutional principles, however, that speak to values such as oversight and transparency. Our system of checks and balances abhors a blank check.
And yet Secretary Paulson’s proposal contains a sweeping provision that utterly strips the courts of any power to review his decisions. Section 8 of the Paulson proposal reads: “Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of this Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not be reviewed by any court of law or any administrative agency.”
In contrast, an alternative bailout bill, sponsored by Democratic Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut, has a very different clause. The Dodd proposal reads: “Any determination by the Secretary with regard to any particular troubled asset pursuant to this Act … shall not be set aside unless such determination is found to be arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion, or not in accordance with the law.” In other words, the Treasury secretary’s determinations can be challenged on legal grounds. The Dodd version goes on to recite that “the terms of a residential mortgage loan that is part of any purchase by the Secretary under this Act shall remain subject to all claims and defenses that would otherwise apply notwithstanding the exercise of authority by the Secretary or Corporation under this Act.”

I thought Bush’s little pathetic scare speech was just rehashed fearmongering to get a defective solution to a festering issue. It had all of the same notes he hit in his address announcing war with Iraq for no logical reason except for global hegemony and Smedley Butler war profiteering.
Anyone who thinks Paulson who is worth over $90 mil and was last paid $12 mil for his final 6 months of work at Goldman Sachs is still not schilling for Goldman and associated entities, including global central banks, is deluded. He has worked for Goldman since the 70’s.
This thing is so staged and filled with hyperbolized psychological trepidation it has revealed its covert objectives. Just as has been said, the grab was to privatize Treasury and gain as much government grab of US assets as possible. Bush is abysmal. The plan of $700 billion was inane and depraved. The 3 pages giving absolute power to a Cabinet Secretary to spend and do as he wishes with no repercussions or oversight was beyond belief and laughable, especially in light of strong chance he will be gone in January. US has sunk to new lows so it is now comedy time.
McCain suspending his campaign but not really suspending it, the Letterman thing, and the Colbert Report send up has turned this into a tragicomedy event. I find it highly amusing and also ridiculous at the same time. I have let the WH know through channels exactly what I think of this subterfuge. AJ says it is part of the global grab. I think the move was highly political and a failure. When serious scholars start kicking back some beers and laughing about this whole thing (and we did), you reach a point where you can’t take the BS anymore. No one at Treasury stopped to mention the people in the middle class who are struggling against powerful economic trends that could decimate them.
Cheers to AJ, you had quite a fine interview (tremendous amount of ground covered) with George Noory, the more the scheming is exposed, the better it is for what remains of this place we would like to still call a country. The “mark-to-market” lowering of bundled mortgages prices which are NOT in arrears or default probably had much to do with causing this problem. When they sell these “bundles” to other companies, all those other firms are forced to pretend that their mortgage backed securities are also worth that low price, even if NONE of the mortgages backing their securities are in arrears or default! This leads to a chain of catastrophic consequences. It seems to me like an engineered housing “bubble,” then the engineered “burst of that housing bubble.” Our loan guy told us about this problem years ago. The purposeful “ramrodding” of the bailout legislation has hit a speed bump. Since too many people perceive the bailout as “blackmail,” perhaps the Good Lord is answering prayers that the bailout fail. “We the People” simply don’t agree to let Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson to put his price on bundled, frozen, illiquid, troubled investments that even Wall Street is struggling to put a price on! In the bogus bailout the dollar value of the bundles might be worth 20 cents on the dollar or 60 cents on the dollar, but we won’t know for years! How do I know Bush’s Paulson isn’t a “Charles Keating clone?” This isn’t a bailout, it’s a BANK ROBBERY! I’m glad the the people who post their oppinion here (except Johnson) agree that EVERYBODY NEEDS TO OPPOSE THIS! Also, since when did American taxpayers agree to bailout foreign banks?
