CANADACOM To Assist U.S. In Emergencies

The United States and Canada have inked an agreement to help one another during civil emergencies.
Air Force Gen. Gene Renuart, commander of North American Aerospace Defense Command and Northern Command based at Peterson Air Force Base, and Canadian Air Force Lt. Gen. Marc Dumais, Canada Command commander, signed the pact last week.
The Civil Assistance Plan allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation.
“This document is a unique, bilateral military plan to align our respective national military plans to respond quickly to the other nation’s requests for military support of civil authorities,” Renuart said in a statement.
The agreement allows mutual assistance during floods, forest fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and effects of a terrorist attack.
Dumais said the plan underscores the two nations’ existing working relationship, evidenced by the joint command NORAD.
The plan recognizes the role of each nation’s lead federal agency for emergency preparedness. For the United States, it’s the Department of Homeland Security, and in Canada, Public Safety Canada.
The plan facilitates the military-to-military support of civil authorities after government authorities agree on a response.
NorthCom was established on Oct. 1, 2002. Canada Command was set up on Feb. 1, 2006.

I relize this is all part of the NAU plan. You Americans don’t have much to worry about the Canadian Army helping out in a crisis. Our army isn’t the most amazing in the world.
BUT – Canadians like myself have a lot to worry about if the US Army can come up here with all their high tech weapons and strength. It really should be of a huge concern to all Canadians.
We would instantly become Yankees without so much as a peep from anyone.
I would hope Canadians would resist the US Army but what chance do any of us have against it other than turn all of Canada into a demolition job like Iraq

If Americans invaded Canada, no one would bat an eyelash as long as they didn’t disconnect the cable or internet and let the liquor stores stay open.
Canadian engineers helped build the American Space program. They have equal or superior knowledge of nuclear technology, having sold Candu reactors to fine upstanding world citizens like Pakistan, India, S. Korea, China, Romania, & Argentina.
Canadians can make nukes as fast as McDonald’s can make hamburgers. If Canada wanted to play for a tie (mutual annihilation), it wouldn’t be too tough. The Canada/US border is the largest unpatrolled border in the world for a reason. Canada and the US are good for each other. The US would be cutting their own throats by annexing Canada.
Besides, we have been helping each other for years in times of crisis. WWI, WWII, Korea, Afghanistan, 9/11, forest fires, floods, etc.–what’s the big deal?

Since when are supposed to be so damn defenseless? In what scenario would we possibly need another country’s military? Calm insurrection maybe? Oh that’s right Bush has all our troops including the NG deployed to Iraq. This isn’t about helping in putting out a forest fire or something this is about conditioning people to accept foriegn troops in their country next it will be the UN troops called in on the next diaster. Bush has already signed over control to the UN in the event of a national emergency. Now we have generals making policy decisions without the approval of congress or the people. This is what Bush did in 05 with the SPP act. This isn’t about being buddy buddy with Canada this is about MARTIAL LAW!

By the way it won’t be nukes it will be biologicals, they have already been spraying us for years now and look where the illness rate has gone…through the roof, everybodies getting sick all around the country. Sounds to me like an open excuse to have the US armed forces march on into Vancouver for 2010 to “prevent terrorist attacks”…and identify and round up dissenters similar to China’s practises…as well, it means if they wanted to push their damned superhighway through theres less of us canucks than you guys so it would be an easy target before hijacking your country and taking the last of your freedoms.

Well one must look beyond the reasons they give for blending the two military powers USA/Canada for civil emergencies.
Either they know about some kind of tragedy that we are about to be imposed and they are preparing for the worst ? or Evil minds want to abuse the populations ??

Listen, as much as I would like to admit that fighting a geurilla war is senseless, I have to confide that is just not going to be the case. Americans are so dependent upon electricity that a single atmospheric nuke detonated 200 miles above in a central location would effectively eliminate most of the retalliation by itself. Given a few weeks without food and clean water, the American people will do the work for them. Not to mention the hundreds of prison camps currently awaiting to be filled and utilized as “happy, friendly disaster relief centers”.
The people will welcome tyranny with thunderous applause. Checkmate.
