Canadian researchers have uncovered a vast electronic spying operation that infiltrated computers and stole documents from government and private offices around the world, including those of the Dalai Lama, The New York Times reported on Saturday.
In a report provided to the newspaper, a team from the Munk Center for International Studies in Toronto said at least 1,295 computers in 103 countries had been breached in less than two years by the spy system, which it dubbed GhostNet.Embassies, foreign ministries, government offices and the Dalai Lama’s Tibetan exile centers in India, Brussels, London and New York were among those infiltrated, said the researchers, who have detected computer espionage in the past.
They found no evidence U.S. government offices were breached.
The researchers concluded that computers based almost exclusively in China were responsible for the intrusions, although they stopped short of saying the Chinese government was involved in the system, which they described as still active.
“We’re a bit more careful about it, knowing the nuance of what happens in the subterranean realms,” said Ronald Deibert, a member of the Munk research group, based at the University of Toronto.

If you look up what PROMIS software is, you will have a lot of your questions answered. Also if you had read the whole article, details will be out on Information Warfare Monitor online.

Alot of Blue Chip companies are using PROMIS software. Along with a SAP type of system. All for the benifit of globalization.

The Israelis put a backdoor in the Promis software and they control our government and military computers.

If you think it it only the Isreailis who are in control of our government you have been misguided. Also, the Jewish men who manipulate our government are non-practicing and shouldn’t be associated with the rest of Israel. When you say things like that, your spreading hate about an entire people when, just like any other people, only a few are guilty.

I second that 2nd watchmen. Its a select group of KABBALISTS, mainly freemasons, theosophists and other OCCULT groups who are the problem. Not the general populations of jews or even Israelis, even though Israel really should not be there. its just a bad fkkin idea theres no reason for it and it will continue to allow the elite to encite violence and genocide between jews and arabs, who are by the way, BOTH ‘SEMITIC’ PEOPLES.

No U.S government computers affected? That tells you right there who was running them. this will be another reason to roll out I-2. for our safety..

Why does it matter if the “spying” is occurring. I thought we were all signed up to our new motto: “If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear”!
Most likely the people doing the spying had good intentions anyway.

do you even think before you say/post anything.
So lets have the russians (name your country) or w/e spy on us so they know all our military strats and technology so they know exactly what we are doing, when we are gonna do it and how. buts its ok lets them be im sure its all with “good intentions”
another way of looking at it. in football do you tell the other team what play your running before you run it…no…why would that be?

Subterranean levels being prscribed for Chinese hackers?
Did you not know that there are well over 3 BILLION Chinese as of the year 1994, and over half of their Population live in tunneled -out Underground Cities?
They are much more advanced than they let on, and more certainly as the Corporately Controlled Mass Media is concerned.
Hell, they have whole Army and Air Force Bases in these Underground Cities just like the Swiss do.
The Swiss have sophisticated Bases that are hidden from Public View, but so do the Chinese…..
You guys are so naive as to think China is not far advanced, simply because they are portrayed as poor on your T.V. Screens with the exception of the polluted Industrial Cities and the main areas like Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou… not to mention Hong Kong.
Wake up, Dummies!!!!
America is in danger from within and from outside it’s borders. America is it’s own worst enemy. The same applies to everyone else, particularly if you keep sticking your Nose into everyone else’s affairs Worldwide.
Get off your fucking high Horse, and wake up before it’s too late.

The Dalai Lama needs better antivirus software. You could always do the old backup, wipe and reinstall. That fixes everything, takes about 4 hours per machine.
There are BIOS level hacks and rouge mobo chips so that’s another issue.

this is a likely a false flag cyber attack which will be blamed on China and used to regulate the web

The Feds,CIA,don’t forget Microsoft, just found out Microsoft likes to censor your mail thru Smart Network Data Services.Tried sending an e-mail link of an infowar article to a friend two different times,I received an e-mail in my box saying a block was put on my ip address saying they received complaints concerning mail coming from my ip address,my friend never complained about anything I have sent to there address, they wanted to see the infowar article. This was sent to a hotmail.com address. They are already taking control of the internet. This GhostNet sounds like another false flag operation so they can get more control.

The same thing happened to me last week. My e-mail customer service said that my linksys had been hacked into and they were using my ip adress to send out billions of malicious mail. Now, my computer is half crashed, I can get in, to listen to Alex, but only if I use google. MSN is completely down, and my avg went into some kind of error state so I have no protection, and I can’t put any new protection on until the avg is gone, and I can’t delete it, it won’t get out, even through avg’s software removal program. So, I ‘m going to have to visit a tech, but there is supposed to be a super bug coming on April 1st according to the computer my husband uses at work. So, I’m waiting until after that for the trip to the tech.

When I read information such as this what I see is simply laying the ground work for instituting more internet control down the line by putting it in people’s heads fear. Whatever you wish to save from the internet now would be a good time to download to disc or print. Who knows how much longer we will have access to information. I think it would be a good idea to develop a network of folks in our locale now who will keep the lines of communication and information sharing open when/if that ability is terminated online.
Anyone in British Columbia interested in some infotalk?
As a sidenote: Is anyone else having difficulty with the streaming news window on the main page on the left? It seems smaller and the titles of the story are cut off, as is the “next” and “pause” buttons. Is it an issue with the site or is there some way I can tweek how pages are viewed? Thanks

My anti-virus software found H.Packard had a key logger on my computer, don’t forget about the computer corporations,Microsoft also, there all in bed with our GOV spying on everybody..

I wonder if one booby-trapped rootkit my antivirus software removed might now have something to do with this. When my antivirus software removed it from one machine, IE, and several other programs quit working.
There is a booby-trapped rootkit going around, and I would not be surprised if these computer spies were behind it.

yup.. if it was real it why would they let the “enemy” know that they know about it.. its just bad strategy to publish something like this.. so yea im with u im willing to bet this is a NYT fabrication designed to make the internet seem threatening
