Lets face it people, you can NOT have freedom without a corresponding responsibility. Why are we Americans so stupid? Because WE (and our parents) did NOT get involved with the local school board meetings to keep the cirriculum tough, fair, and balanced — they felt that the state knew best for ALL kids. Why are so many of our youth (Americans under the age of about 35-40) so fat and violent? Because we as parents did NOT excercise our responsibilities of parenting and allowed TV and video games to be a substitute babysitter.

It is through OUR inaction and indifference to policies set locally (city, county, and state) that has allowed corruption to infest itself into every level of politics in our once great nation.

The good news is that WE can change the system by using it the way it was intended. Here’s how to do it (as I have been doing only in the last year or so):
1) get and stay informed of the issues that impact you
2) try to educate as many of your neighbors, friends, family, and coworkers as you can — even if its just a quick “here’s a great website for untainted news”
3) GET INVOLVED locally — school board meetings, local politico party meetings, township meetings, etc. — make your voice heard, and when you think you are talking to a brick wall, bring along more of your neighbors next meeting and let the board know how you think, but offer constructive critizism and solutions
4) Don’t get discouraged by minor setbacks or by being ignored

Over the last 4-5 months, we have started to see how well this strategy works. We at the Campaign for Liberty (with over 200,000 members in the US, and tens of thousands internationally)have been working exceptionally hard to garner support for an Audit the Fed bill in Congress — we currently have convinced enough Representatives to have an almost veto-proof majority, and since switching some of our focus to the companion Senate bill, have gotten 2 co-sponsors there as well.

Why do I say we are succeeding? Because within a few days of getting a simple majority of the House to co-sponsor the bill, the Fed has hired a PR firm to help their image. Once the number of cosponsors has almost gotten to a veto proof majority, the Imposter in Chief rolls out a plan to give even more power to the Fed.

So, instead of sitting on the web and whining and b*tching about how bad things are getting, DO SOMETHING to stop it and reverse the trend!! Get OFF your fat lazy arse, GET involved, and MAKE your voice heard by the people who make the policies and laws.

How does that make sense?

If there is no electricity to control the ATM’s, how am I going to get my money in a “Weather related emergency”?

I’ll settle for old fashioned mail, hardly ideal- but better than their game.
