AS CONSPIRACY theories go, it is up there with the CIA assassination of president John Kennedy and the faked moon landings. The terrorist attacks on the World Trade Centre on September 11, 2001, have spawned a cottage industry devoted to questioning whether they were the work of al-Qaeda and hinting that it was ”an inside job”.

Now a lead figure in the self-described ”9/11 truth movement”, an American architect, Richard Gage, has revealed one of its most high-profile adherents to date: Jan Utzon, son of the world-famous designer of the Sydney Opera House, Joern Utzon.

In a video posted on YouTube during his current visit to Sydney, Mr Utzon is interviewed by Mr Gage and endorses his call for a new inquiry into the September 11, 2001, attacks.

Parents complained to Oxclose Village Primary School in Washington, Tyne and Wear, after their children reportedly came home in tears following the creative writing lesson.

Mrs Young, who has a nine-year-old daughter, devised the task as children observed the anniversary of the 2001 al-Qaeda attacks in which 2,995 people died, it is claimed.

“How can she set young children this kind of essay? Many of them have been left traumatised by her ridiculous lesson,” one parent told a Sunday newspaper.

He took it up a notch late last night casting aspersions on New York’s toughness for being willing to put Khalid Sheikh Mohammed on trial and suggested terrorists would come after people’s children, including hizzoner’s

“It’s easy for them to say, ‘Oh we’re tough,” Shadegg blurted on the House floor. (Via Thrush) “Well Mayor, how are you gonna feel when it’s your daughter that’s kidnapped at school by a terrorist?.How are you gonna feel when it’s some clerk, some innocent clerk of the court, whose daughter or son is kidnapped?”

“This is political correctness run amok,” he declared.

Obama, speaking to NBC television during a trip to Asia, predicted that anger at the planned civilian trial for Sheikh Mohammed would fall away “when he’s convicted and when the death penalty is applied to him.”

“I think this notion that somehow we have to be fearful, that these terrorists possess some special powers that prevent us from presenting evidence against them, locking them up and exacting swift justice, I think that has been a fundamental mistake,” he told CNN television in a separate exchange.

Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday stood by his decision to send five alleged Sept. 11 conspirators to New York for trial, saying his team carefully considered the potential downsides of taking the case out of the military commission system but ultimately determined federal court was the best option.

Despite growing concerns that trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and others in civilian court triggers a host of complications for the prosecution, Holder said he’s confident the cases will be “successful.”

“We looked at a variety of things — about the questions of admissibility of evidence … what problems we might have with regard to any witnesses,” Holder said. “I mean the whole variety of things that we considered in making those judgments.”

“Two pilots will parachute from the 300-seat airliner after setting it on autopilot to crash at high speed into the desert. The plane will be loaded with cameras and sensors recording the impact of the crash, which Channel 4 said would provide invaluable information about how planes react in potentially fatal accidents.

Those of us who have studied one of the most horrendous and controversial events in history, the 9/11 attacks know that the history and study of airplane crashes have always proved to leave massive holes, fire, bodies and a twisted plane smashed across a large debris field. All of the plane can typically be reconstructed for forensic analysis, yet on 9/11 the laws of physics were suspend that day.

Five firefighters and police officers, all of whom were involved in the rescue and clear-up at the site of the collapsed Twin Towers, have died of cancer in the past three months, the oldest being 44. Three died last month within a four-day period.

Those three were Robert Grossman, a Harlem-based police officer who spent several weeks at the emergency site and died of a brain tumour aged 41; fellow police officer Cory Diaz, 37; and firefighter Richard Mannetta, 44.

The video below is John Gross (one of the lead NIST investigators) telling a physics teacher that he knows of no evidence of molten metal found in the WTC site in spite of all the evidence to the contrary.  It is important to point that when John told this teacher to send him the NASA images showing temperatures reaching in excess of 2000 degrees, he later refused to give him his email address to send him the pictures.

A warship built with steel salvaged from the World Trade Center has arrived in New York City.

The USS New York sailed up the Hudson River to near Ground Zero, where it fired a 21-gun salute in tribute to those killed in the 2001 attacks.

It was watched by relatives of 9/11 victims, along with members of the emergency services and the public.

The US Navy is to hold an official commissioning ceremony for the new warship on Saturday.

The New York set off on its maiden voyage from Louisiana, where it was built, nearly three weeks ago.
