Celente Predicts Revolution, Food Riots, Tax Rebellions By 2012

The man who predicted the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is now forecasting revolution in America, food riots and tax rebellions – all within four years, while cautioning that putting food on the table will be a more pressing concern than buying Christmas gifts by 2012.
Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, is renowned for his accuracy in predicting future world and economic events, which will send a chill down your spine considering what he told Fox News this week.
Celente says that by 2012 America will become an undeveloped nation, that there will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches, and that holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.
“We’re going to see the end of the retail Christmas….we’re going to see a fundamental shift take place….putting food on the table is going to be more important that putting gifts under the Christmas tree,” said Celente, adding that the situation would be “worse than the great depression”.
“America’s going to go through a transition the likes of which no one is prepared for,” said Celente, noting that people’s refusal to acknowledge that America was even in a recession highlights how big a problem denial is in being ready for the true scale of the crisis.

Celente, who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse and the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, told UPI in November last year that the following year would be known as “The Panic of 2008,” adding that “giants (would) tumble to their deaths,” which is exactly what we have witnessed with the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns and others. He also said that the dollar would eventually be devalued by as much as 90 per cent.
The consequence of what we have seen unfold this year would lead to a lowering in living standards, Celente predicted a year ago, which is also being borne out by plummeting retail sales figures.
The prospect of revolution was a concept echoed by a British Ministry of Defence report last year, which predicted that within 30 years, the growing gap between the super rich and the middle class, along with an urban underclass threatening social order would mean, “The world’s middle classes might unite, using access to knowledge, resources and skills to shape transnational processes in their own class interest,” and that, “The middle classes could become a revolutionary class.”
In a separate recent interview, Celente went further on the subject of revolution in America.
“There will be a revolution in this country,” he said. “It’s not going to come yet, but it’s going to come down the line and we’re going to see a third party and this was the catalyst for it: the takeover of Washington, D. C., in broad daylight by Wall Street in this bloodless coup. And it will happen as conditions continue to worsen.”

And the crime is going to be a lot worse than it was before because in the last 1929 Depression, people’s minds weren’t wrecked on all these modern drugs – over-the-counter drugs, or crystal meth or whatever it might be. So, you have a huge underclass of very desperate people with their minds chemically blown beyond anybody’s comprehension.”

This guy is not exactly telling it how it will really be. What about the massive population reduction of four billion people as foretold in Revelations…a third world war (nation rises against nation), the Fema camps, the emergence of the World government with a prominent “leader” emerging, the microchipping of the population.
The government, which is a beast in itself, is soon going to under the guise of consumer safety/terrorism protection measures require everyone to take their mark/chip. fairly cheap. Those that are smart will be doing the same thing or start doing the same thing.

Forget gold….
Bulk purchase and stockpiling of items such as generic asprin and toothpaste will be worth far more than gold eventually. They both have a long shelf life and large amounts take up small amounts of space. No one who has pretensions of being civilized will ever stop needing them. Gold will just get you killed. the U.S. has ever been a Christian nation, no matter what you may think. God is not all gloom and doom, fiery ash and brimstone. People are the makers of their own destiny and each person walks their own path.
We are in for quite a ride, but 75 years of telling the rest of the world to restructure their food growing practices, how they govern and pushing weapons into the open market have finally taken its toll.

I cant see there ever being food riots or starvation, Not in todays times. We are more advanced than we were in the past. All you have to do is grow food in your back yard. end of crisis. With technology and the internet people will learn farming there. As for tax riots, I am in one right now. Nobody gets harmed, but I get to keep my hard earned money. If there is any kind of civilizational disruption then it would be manufactured not happen by chance. The Freemasons will lead us out of this supposed upcoming mess.

One of the posiives that will come out of the coming revolt will be that folks realize the “Patrito ACT’ was written for them and not al-qaeda. THe patriot act was written with a domestic rebellion in mind. This country is living off of a credit card. We are saddled with $10 trillion dollars of PUBLIC DEBT, a $765 billion dollar annual trade deficit, and a $5oo billion dollar budget deficit. 50% of all income taxes go towards paying the INTEREST on our debt! THe Chinese hold 1 trillion dollars of our currency and the same goes for the BANK of KOREA. THe bak of Japan holds 500 billion and taiwan holds about the same. These countries, particularly china, then lend this money bakc to us with interest! The reason they hold so much of our currency is because all of our GOODS come from abroad. THis is called CAPITAL FLIGHT. The core activity of wealthy nation, which we are not, is PRODUCTION/Manufacturing. Wealth is measured by what you PRODUCE not what you consume. We are consumers. We make nothing in this country and we still think we are “wealthy” with our chinese clothes on and driving our KOREAN cars. We keep chinese factories humming everytime we go to Wal-mart. This is why we are the number 1 PAUPER nation. THe worlds largest debtor. Add the PUBLIC DEBT with the HOUSEHOLD/CONSUMER debt and its clear to see that the U.S. will be third world country in a few years. No nation with these statistics can thrive. the only reason why we have lasted this long is because our currency is ARTIFICIALLY INFLATED and foriegn governments have not called in heir debt yet. Once they call in their debt and stop propping up our currency, inflation will spiral out of control and the dollar will be worthless. THis is reality folks. This is what you get when you borrow, borrow, borrow. We are OWNED by other countries because we are RELIANT on them. CHina could shut down our economy tommorow if they so felt like it. We would have nothing to wear, no furniture, and increasingly no food because even our food is coming from them. Well, aintmyamerica, there are a couple of bright spots. They cannot take away the country. If it all falls apart, they will never collect either. 1) Keep bad stuff out. To carry out this priority we can expect to see activities by Customs and Border Protection and the Transportation Security Administration continuing and maturing.
Equally frustrating for DHS has been the unwillingness of Congress to comprehend the technology simply does not exist, at least not yet, to allow 100-percent screening of all cargo arriving in the United States.
2) Keep bad people out. This is the area where “fusion” has become the watch word. In the next few months, additional security measures and procedures will be put into place that may create delays and cause frustration if companies do not plan in advance and prepare to comply with these new measures.
DHS announced the implementation of the National Fusion Center Network, a system by which all 50 states and the federal government, including the FBI, the Department of Justice, and other agencies, will be linked. In June 2008, DHS announced that all persons entering the United States on a visa waiver program — the program that entitles individuals from certain countries to enter without a visa — will be required to log on to a system and receive pre-clearance before boarding a U.S.-bound plane or ship.
Of equal concern in the immigration context is the new approach being applied to employer audits. Many parties have long complained the federal government has not done enough with employer sanctions. Their wish came true, but now we are faced with the outcome that any company which flunks an employer audit is automatically barred from government contracting. Well, perhaps that doesn’t sound like such a bad outcome as there are laws on the books which have led such a result in other contexts. The question, however, remains — how many undocumented workers does it take to flunk an audit and be barred from contracting with the government? Is this a wise move/unannounced change given the current economic environment? Where are the interpreting regulations?
5) Unify operations and management. This is perhaps the area where DHS has taken the most serious criticism as a department. Is it working as efficiently as possible? Some would suggest yes, given how new it is. Others have said it needs a Secretary who is willing to knock heads and stop the turf battles. Which one is correct remains to be seen.
These priorities sound quite familiar to anyone who has observed DHS activities.
Finally, in the area of incident management, Schneider focused on communications, data exchanges, planning and response, simulation technology, information sharing and the state and local fusion centers.

I guess I missed something along the way, I thought that’s why we were all here at this site, in the hope of preventing what Mr. Celente is now saying is going to happen by educating enough people to sort of push the country back to the constitution. We’ve all known what is coming if we didn’t succeed, and now the rest of the world will know, the hard way. I’ve known we were going to have war within this country for roughly 35 years and I didn’t read any books or articles to come to this conclusion. It just was there, in my thoughts, about the time I turned 13 I knew this country was headed for another civil war. I didn’t know how long it would take only that it would be in my lifetime. I was apolitical and apathetic in my teens, strange that I got there, eh! I welcome you all to my world!

I agree with you. I dont have a long line of credit. I dont use credit. But how do you stockpile when you barely feed your family now? What may happen is small bands will come together and have to grow food and we will become an agrarian society. There is no hope alone. We can only survive in numbers. Once a person realizes the futility that survival alone equals starvation and failure. Then and only then will we realize that the cold and cut off life that we live is the reason why the wool was pulled over our eyes. No one knows who their neighbors are anymore. Communites are filled with people only wanting to go home to watch TV and ignore the real world around them. This will be a wake up call if it happens.

I think it might also be recommended that everyone who is awake, get off of all drugs, cigarettes, alcohol, caffeine, as well as the harsher ones, even weed, unless you plan to grow it in your garden at your wilderness retreat… I’m getting off of caffeine this week, it sucks, I feel like shit, but it will be well worth it. Also, I have a question…if I want to store water, which types might have no fluoride in them? Or is there no way to get clean water anymore? I suppose any plastic bottles would leach into the drink as well…

I really dont see obama as having anything to do with whats coming. Most of it can be credited to the last 8 years. The Democratic party is going to make obama commit political suicide though. Thats why we always see relatively fresh faces as president. They can easily be molded and used as nothing more than an icon. President obama got where he is with a lot of help and support, now the democratic party will step in to ask that their debt be repayed. I have, found many great things I am passing around. make the time, fid the materials while you can, and don’t wait for someone to do it for you. Tired is a state of mind, and sleep is for the weak, and you can rest while dead.
I pass this stuff out, direct people here, and other places and try to do as much as I can, and I do not sleep much because the revolution has already started, and we must build troops, train soldiers, get ready, and it does not leave much time to sleep.

anyone interested in some kind of peace movement?? u know we could solve a great depression and all the violence that would come if people just started banding together in like pacts of selflessness, defence and working toward the common goal of making sure everyone has enough to eat.. it wouldnt really be that hard i think it would just take some humility and a little effort, but i mean how hard could it be to convert backyards into gardens to grow fruits and vegetables? if everyone did it, it wouldnt matter if the economy was bad as long as everyone eats… or what about a nonprofit financed by charitable donations that could produce cheap food.. i guess the corporate monopolies would F it up,, but then again maybe not if you could buy ur food at almost production-cost prices (minus pay for workers) then maybe we could take help curb the power of the corporate structure.. idk but i think everyone on here is only talking about the NWO and shit on here because thats what they trained us to do anyways.. its just entertainment, with stronger drama because of its actual relevance.. makes me sick how good they are at their manipulation.. n im guilty too but thats why im trying to at least plant seeds of suggestion here maybe some ideas will take root, or when there is a depression ill start spreading my message.. hopefully i dont get killed for that like they all do (people spreading the message of people being good to each other) lol but really. cant we just begin decentralizing the economy ourselves by boycotting it and becoming self-sufficient?? i wish someone started this idea way back when everyone had plenty of money we probably all couldve stockpiled lifetime supplies in like 2000 or whatever, i guess it goes to shows the impermanence of all good things.. hopefully people will learn this time and come out of this mess more spiritually aware.

I really hope that people will be smart enough to work together to survive and fight the NWO! The time to prepare and stock up on food, seeds, survival gear, ammo, medical supplies etc. was yesterday! Sell the extra toys in the garage or the baseball card collection if you have too. If you have small children, then do it for them – it is your responsibility as a parent! If you live in the city, make plans to get out soon.

the rural folk won’t be affected as much. urban people are screwed as far as i can see. i wouldn’t feel safe having a garden in a city. people with guns will come at night and steal your produce/canned goods. there are too many people jam packed into a small area in those city’s. it takes millions and millions of acres to raise crops to support the urban folk. if you urban folk think that growing gardens on rooftops and backyards is enough to support even a fraction of a city, you are dreaming.

Webcast: Building Applications for the 21st Century
The US Special Operations Command (SOCOM) secret military forces are receiving their first robotic whisper-mode helicopters, according to reports. The plan is for the you-never-saw-us-we-aren’t-even-here brigade to receive a ten-strong fleet of Boeing A160T “Hummingbird” droid kill-choppers, under an extended demonstration programme.

News of the A160T shipments came recently courtesy of Janes, who quoted Boeing’s John Groenenboom as saying that “deliveries are already underway”, and should be complete by the end of this month.
The A160T is unmanned, but that’s in many ways the least interesting thing about it. The new robo-chopper stands out more for its variable-speed rotor technology, which allows it to do things that other helicopters can’t.
An A160T can stay up without refuelling for 20 hours, for instance, and is able to hover without ground effect at much higher altitudes than other helicopters – up to 20,000 feet according to Boeing. Company execs also claim that it is “four times quieter” than an ordinary Bell 407 small copter.
Stealthy A160Ts could carry out a variety of different missions for the secret supertroopers of SOCOM. It can carry the “FORESTER” foliage-penetrating radar, to sniff out enemies of democracy lurking deep in the woods. It is also slated to lift the ARGUS-IS multiplex spyeye system, able to watch many suspect buildings, cars, people etc at once; rather than just one.
These and other surveillance payloads are to a large extent what the A160T was designed for, making special use of its long endurance and high hover capabilities. However, there will of course be an option to arm it with laser-guided Hellfire missiles, Viper Strike smartglider minibombs or what have you. The robocopter will also be able to drop off loads of supplies – up to 1,000lb – to SOCOM SEALs, Green Berets, Force-Recon types etc operating deep in enemy territory.
There may even be an option for the crewless chopper to carry passengers, perhaps wounded operatives or shot-down aviators in need of urgent evacuation.
The robotic whisper-whirlybird was, like so many of America’s more avant-garde innovations, developed by the maverick military edge-bleed experts at DARPA. If the variable-speed copters turn out as well as has been claimed, the technology – like IP networking, another DARPA creation – might find wider application in coming years. The rotorcraft world might soon, erm, beat a path to DARPA’s door. ®

Some people have some sort of a link to prophecy whether they are believers or not (in Christ) God seems to give gifts regardless of affiliation (although I am sure that He desires all to come to a knowledge of their sin and acceptance of His gift of forgiveness). That aside in the end times He says that He will pour out a spirit of prophecy upon mankind. This is starting to look more and more like the final days, to keep the faith is the most important thing! I may be off target here, but I feel the need to say what is on my mind. From the impression I get of many posts there is an indication that some may think if it comes down to a revolution in the US it will be a one or two day affair and worked like a 9-5 job. You will just grab up your guns, pitchforks, Bibles and scurry around and hang a few people here and there and get back home in time for supper and catch the Wheel of Fortune.
Look at the history of any conflict/war/insurrection that occured in any counrty that is recorded fairly well. Some people will leave after the first few hours.. most will not last a week… and that is being conservative. It would take a massive effort and we are such a nation of selfish “my way or no way” people that I am not sure we could handle a revolution. That is the worst case scenario.
Best case.. those who have served in the military as leaders(and everione who has been in the military is NOT a leader to be followed) to have peopel willing to follow and learn disciplne on the run and be dependable in a time of crisis…
Worst comes to worst.. chaos will come totegether in sheer numbers and that will prevail.
One thing is for sure.. look at your family .. right now.. and ask HOPNESTLY yourself would you be willing to leave the comforts of your home and family behind, not to return, for weeks, months.. or perhaps not at all.
I can assure you the GVT has think tanks that go through such scenarios every day. The outcome, should it ever occur, won’t be known until the event is over.

One factor is also logistics.. The stores and places that deal in firearms and ammunition will be secured immediately by the GVT(law enforment and military).
Get a bunch of people together with different caliber firearms and you are limited to the number of bullets/shotgun shells on hand. Guns with no shells are useless(unless you plan to club somebody with it..)
The military is standardized, i.e 9 MM psitols for the most part, .223(5.56 mm), .308(7.82 mm ) and .50 caliber for the majority of small portable arms. Basically their efforts are standardized.
The few that think.. “well we will just kill a few of them and take their guns..” will not find that such an easy task. The visions of grandeur you suffer from will quickly evaporate when faced with the real deal.. Armed conflict is a scary ugly situation.. not some John Wayne or “24″ TV movie where after your one hour episode you are held in suspense for a week until the next show comes on. Hope I am preaching to the choir to a few who have been there.. To those who haven’t.. your wildest imagination cannot imagine what it would be like until you experience the reality.
Not to discourage mind you. If something is to be.. it is to be.. but it requires planning to prevail at such an effort.

An employer limits the amount of time and hours a person works in order to avoid good health insurance, overtime, or vacation quotas (but, refuses to hire an employee unless they are available to work ‘any and all shifts at any time’ – so they can’t even hold two jobs or pursue an education). A TV ad unabashedly advertises texting nonsense to some nameless company so that it can charge the texter 99 cents. A bank loans money to someone who obviously demonstrates no ability to repay in tangible assets or even in terms of behavioral history. A temporarily unemployed (and thus uninsured) guy dies of cancer because 2 years ago the $200 doctor’s office visit prevented him from acting on initial symptoms.
With all these examples and countless others, why the fuck would anyone be focusing on ‘taxes’?
Taxes are not the problem. The problem is the blank check our system gives to anyone organized enough to rip off everyone else. For Christ’s sake, there will be a consumer/humanitarian revolt long before there is a ‘tax’ revolt. More than likely, people will start leaving the USA in droves (those who can afford to and have the connections to enable doing so), and others not already here will stop coming. After all, one doesn’t typically desire life in a Capitalist hell hole where only the aggressive and competitive are seen as having right to life, liberty, and security.
Lower taxes. Fucking please. If the real problem remains unaddressed, all having less taxes will do is make it so that there is more money to turn over to a minority of greedy sociopaths who wind up with everything, while nearly everyone else winds up with nothing.

Gerald Celente is a good guy – I worked with him on a regular basis up to about eight years ago, but have since been out-of-touch – but he’s also a salesman and an entertainer with a product to sell, be it his own “personal brand” or his publications. Being provocative is essential to cut through the clutter. I don’t doubt his general thesis that a lot of things will get worse before they get better, but just keep in mind this guy is selling a product.
There’s a great scene in the movie “Ed Wood” where a prognosticator named Criswell – not unlike Celente – makes dramatic gloom-and-doom predictions on television. Once the cameras are off and Criswell is “out of character” he confides to Wood that it’s all an act, saying, and I paraphrase: “The public will believe anything if you look good and say it with authority.”

There is a difference between predictions that are valid and predictions that are reliable. The article cites the valid predictions. They are valid because they happened. What I want to know is whether or not Mr. Celente’s predictions are reliable. For me to make that determination, I would like to know how many predictions he made that did NOT come true.

Does this guy just say bad stuff is going to happen or does he offer any solutions? It’s a breeze to say what could go wrong; and if your predictions are wrong, then you can come up with some intervening variable that prevented it—maybe your prediction itself helped avert disaster.
Some of what he is saying has already happened, so it’s not that remarkable. He is probably correct in saying that the recession will be much worse than anyone expects and we are not being told the complete truth. But you can hardly blame the gov’t because if they were to let on about how bad it is, it would just create more panic, and that’s what they’re trying to avoid.
There might be pockets in America where what he says might happen, but not over America in its entirety. It’s not that we’re too big to fail, it’s just that “America” covers a lot of terrain.

Regardless of this guy’s foresight abilities, just read the writing on the wall. The US government almost doubles its total actual debt overnight, the Fed slashes interest rates in a late attempt to hold off a deflationary depression…we’re seeing some deflation now with the fall of oil, but once the effects of a massively over-indebted government and significant inflationary measures kick in (a matter of months) the dollar will plummet. This is fiat money we’re talking, backed only by the good word of Uncle Sam, and people will lose faith in the USD currency; it’s already happening with other countries. The sociopolitical consequences we can only imagine, but I say it’s best to play it safe.

We really don’t need someone, by proxy, strengthening the NWO’s agenda. On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order
11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve
Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at
interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the
privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. The
Christian Common Law Institute has exhaustively researched this matter
through the Federal Register and Library of Congress and can now safely
conclude that this Executive Order has never been repealed, amended, or
superceded by any subsequent Executive Order. In simple terms, it is still

When President John Fitzgerald Kennedy – the author of Profiles in
Courage -signed this Order, it returned to the federal government,
specifically the Treasury Department, the Constitutional power to create and
issue currency -money – without going through the privately owned Federal
Reserve Bank.
President Kennedy’s Executive Order 11110 [the full text is displayed
further below] gave the Treasury Department the explicit authority:
“to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or
standard silver dollars in the Treasury.”

government could introduce new money into circulation based on the silver
bullion physically held there. As a result, more than $4 billion in United
States Notes were brought into circulation in $2 and $5 denominations. $10

the Treasury Department when Kennedy was assassinated. It appears obvious
that President Kennedy knew the Federal Reserve Notes being used as the
purported legal currency were contrary to the Constitution of the United
States of America. “United States Notes” were issued as an interest-free and
debt-free currency backed by silver reserves in the U.S. Treasury.
In the illustrations below, a “Federal Reserve Note” issued from the
private central bank of the United States (the Federal Reserve Bank a/k/a
Federal Reserve System), is compared with a “United States Note” from the
U.S. Treasury issued by President Kennedy’s Executive Order. They almost
look alike, except one says “Federal Reserve Note” on the top while the
other says “United States Note”. Also, the Federal Reserve Note has a green
seal and serial number while the United States Note has a red seal and
serial number.
President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 and the United
States Notes he had issued were immediately taken out of circulation.
Federal Reserve Notes continued to serve as the legal currency of the
nation. According to the United States Secret Service, 99% of all U.S. paper
“currency” circulating in 1999 are Federal Reserve Notes.
Kennedy knew that if the silver-backed United States Notes were widely
circulated, they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve Notes.
This is a very simple matter of economics. The USN was backed by silver and
the FRN was not backed by anything of intrinsic value. Executive Order 11110
should have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level
(virtually all of the nearly $9 trillion in federal debt has been created
since 1963) if LBJ or any subsequent President were to enforce it. It would
have almost immediately given the U.S. Government the ability to repay its
debt without going to the private Federal Reserve Banks and being charged
interest to create new “money”. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S.A. the
ability to, once again, create its own money backed by silver and real value
worth something.
Again, just five months after Kennedy was assassinated, no more of the
Series 1958 “Silver Certificates” were issued either, and they were
subsequently removed from circulation.
Perhaps the assassination of JFK was a warning to all future
presidents not to interfere with the private Federal Reserve’s control over
the creation of money.

This litany has no end. We cannot now anticipate all the ramifications of the “unitary” president and his claim of “inherent powers,” except that it clearly allows him to fully take over the government. The Bush Administration ignore centuries of Constitutional decision-making that limits the President, decisions during the Civil War, World War II, World War II and the Korean, Vietnamese and Cold Wars. In the unlikely event the new Supreme Court does not give him all he wants, he will ignore those decisions as well.
That is truly what a “unitary” president means. If America did not pay attention before, it must now.

I’ve thought this matter over who knows how many times, and I always find myself in the same place. People will do what is in their nature. Wether that be store and save for those rainy days, or hope and pray that it never rains. Some will lie, cheat, and steal to get their next meal. And then there are those who are willing to give away their last meal to someone else. Anyways, in the end, all things tend to work out. Just remember that we were sent here with very few, but very powerful responsibilities. Whatever – this man is predicting what will happen due to the circumstances that should have been dealt with not by him but by all Americans years ago! How can he possibly tell us how to correct it if the majority thinks he’s talking smack and he’s “all gloom and doom”? All the greedy Americans who willingly took loans for homes and cars they knew they could not afford are the biggest ones to blame for the situation we are in now. Martin – I believe in God and I am so not afraid to die. If it ever comes down to a nuclear war attack some planet colliding with us, I will be sure to stand right out in the middle of it and choose death rather than having to live underground, not seeing sunlight, dirt, fresh food for years, worrying about not eating and feeding my family, and not to mention dealing with illness w/o medical help or medicines. I don’t want to be forced to watch my son die from an asthma attack because his last inhaler left from our stash has expired 5 yeas ago! If we don’t go on impact, I will see to it that my family does not suffer through the hell that will surely be here. No child should have to deal with that. Nor should they have to deal with the risk of losing a parent and having to go through that hell alone! My family will be ready to be with God.

Here is the main problem with violent resistance: history has taught us that the leaders of such resistance almost always start out with the best intentions but end up merely replacing one tyranny with another. Just a brief scan of major historical events bares this out. The French Revolution, the Russian Revolution and yes even the American Revolution all replaced one tyranny with another. In France, after the smoke cleared, came Napoleon who ravaged Europe for more than a decade. In Russia, first under Lenin and then under Stalin came wholesale massacres, imprisonments, forced labor and mass starvation. In America, the southern and northern states divided, slavery was maintained and a bloody civil war ensued.
Now lets look at some historical examples of non-violent resistance. It is important to point out that when I say “non-violent” I do not mean that no violence took place or non-violence = non-action. Ghandi and his fight for Indian independence from British rule was largely non-violent. Here was a technologically background country standing face to face with an imperial power who had held sway over 1/4 of the world’s land surface for more than a century. Within a few decades they had forced that power to leave India. The only significant violence was homegrown; that between Hindis and Muslims.
Essentially, Ghandi’s non-violent movement was one of non-cooperation with the occupying power and peacefully competing with an economy that was monopolizing trade. Two ways in which this was accomplished was gathering and selling salt and refusing to pay tax on salt monopolized by the British and second to make their own clothes by weaving the wool and cloth themselves instead of buying clothes made in England. If you look at the Indian flag you’ll see a spinning wheel in the center, a symbol of this non-violent action.
It is true that some people were killed, injured and imprisoned including Ghandi himself but the non-violent theme of this fight was sustained. Eventually this combination of non-violence, non-cooperation and peaceful competition made the British occupation of India non-profitable, immoral and politically unstable. In short, the British power in India was defeated by civility and common sense, two attributes that power structures cannot manipulate or destroy.
A second example of a successful non-violent movement is in South Africa. Most of us are famaliar with the imprisonment of Nelsen Mandela and his fight against aparthied (a system of racial segregation first introduced in the 1960s), and a general fight against the inequalities of white and black. Of course, some violence did occur but it was, like India, largely homegrown. Tribal conflicts and religious differences were the main points of contension. However, Mandela and later Bishop Desmond Tutu stressed non-violence as a way to defeat the tyranny of the South African government and racial discrimination. Their efforts were more towards educating the world to the conditions in South Africa and educating South Africans, white as well as black. The often violent response by the South African police and army raiding townships and wholesale violence and imprisonment strengthened these efforts and popularized the movement for a free South Africa. As you know, the apartheid system was defeated and racial discimination was outlawed.
Please don’t get the idea that I am suggesting the situations in India and South Africa are perfect, far from it. But they make the point clear: non-violent resistance works, violent resistance doesn’t. When the time comes, and it will, to resist tyranny in America the strategies used may be different but the way to implement those strategies must be non-violent. This course of action, as history has shown, will win in the end.

I agree with CWHale. Obviously there will be violence with any form of resistance but to advocate it is completely insane. It is time for revolution and there are many ways to make this happen without the use of physical force. Quit supporting big business, pull your “money” out of banks, free yourself from fossil fuels, don’t rely on government for handouts or anything at all, spread the word. The only way that we can rise up as a civilized free world is to free ourselves of monetaryism and greed and corruption. It’s all about to collapse and we have embrace this course of events and use it to our advantage. Down with Big Business, down with monetaryism, down with government, down with organized religion. These are all outdated and useless bringing nothing but debt, slavery, and corruption and hinder our ability to move forward as a species. It’s time we start thinking about each other as one progress to the next level of understanding. We cannot let history repeat itself and fall right back into the same hole we’re about to start climbing out of.

There is no doubt that the country we once were is about to undergo some extreme changes in a very short time. The surprise is that it took so long to get to this point. We began as a nation of refuge and new beginnings and slowly but surely we became a spoiled self centered society. I remember what went through my mind when I first returned from my service in the war. I looked at the changes that had taken place in such a short time (16 months) and thought “What these people need is for a war to come to our homeland and then there might be a chance to salvage what we are destroying”. The wake up call came and went a number of times but no one was willing to give enough to return to the course we had started on over two hundred years ago. For ten, almost eleven years I have been writing the same things as are now being stated by so many people. We are headed for disaster if we don’t come together but I am afraid that we will not do so because our selfishness is resistance to the idea of sacrifice. The Mayans were probably right and 2012 may well be the end of things as we know them. I would be quick to point out that there is one other authority that many look too that has passed on this same message to us. I don’t think that I have to identify that authority as I believe that we all know in our hearts who that is.
Wake up!! Or prepare for the ride!!

A little more than 7 years ago, a group of terrorists attempted to bring America to its knees with unprecedented attacks upon our Nation. Their mission had its genesis in a hatred for the freedom and lifestyle, supported by capitalism, that we Americans enjoy, paid for with the courage, inspiration, and blood of a multitude of patriots who have gone before us. Now it appears that we have an apparent majority of Americans who have bought into the lie that says that freedom and capitalism are unworkable and are to be despised and repudiated. They are dancing to a hypnotic tune played by a charlatan who promises change, and they fail to recognize that the change that he will deliver marks the end of America as we know it. They are ostensibly willing to sell out their children and grandchildren to an existence that will eventually be micromanaged at every turn by the loveless State, and even by foreign governments. Many Americans are angry that freedom comes with a price tag, and many apparently are no longer willing to pay the price. The 2008 Presidential Election was about a lot more than whether Barack Obama or John McCain won the White House. This past Election was a referendum on whether or not the American People believe that individual liberty and American sovereignty are still worth fighting for, still worth sacrificing for, still worth it, period. This Election defined whether or not the multitude of heroes who took their last ragged breath on battlefield after battlefield a million miles from their homes and loved ones for the sake of America, with all of its opportunities and dreams, died in vain for a group of Americans ultimately too ignorant, too lazy, and too craven to stand up at the ballot box for their liberty and that of their children and grandchildren. All of our enemies, foreign and domestic, watched this Election closely, as all of them had a stake in the outcome. All of them were waiting to see whether or not the wish list of the thugs who brought down our World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 would be fulfilled beyond their wildest dreams. I hoped and prayed that enough of America still had the spine to remain free. Now we know.

If the gears of industry and finance continue to freeze up, expect massive inflationary lubricant to be applied. In the great wash of a flood of newly printed money, most people will lose track of who is ahead and who is further behind and they won’t notice as things get rejiggered to pay for what is most important.
The market rebellion is already taking place. Go to the store and see if you want to borrow anything more so that you can walk out with another whatchamacalit! If not, then you are a part of the rebellion.
So, most people in the USA will tighten up, and it’s about time.
But what is interesting is that the folks in all the undeveloped countries are truly hungry to earn more and buy more. Their unstoppable energy will drive the global markets forward, and they will eventually pull along the USA’s market as well.
I expect that will take place over the next 3 years.

It is really sad and devastating to hear that our precious country and fellow Americans are in for a horrible future. I hear ALL the complaints or predictions but no one is giving advice or direction on how to make a change??? What can I do as a little American to help make a change? I want to take my country back and restore it to the glory I remembered as a child … when you could hear a pin drop and EVERY heart was covered when our National Anthem was played through the loud speakers at a football or baseball game.
Where is the pride of America? All I hear from the Liberals is how awful our country is and has become … I truly believe that Congress & most politians make decisions, on our behalf, based on how much money/power they are to gain. They DO NOT have our best interest at heart?? This is why I love Sarah Palin … she was not molded in Harvard or Stanford, nor was she trained to be a lying / cheating lawyer. We can create the Mad Max future as a self fulfilling prophecy or we can attend to our most pressing needs in an intelligent coordinated manner.
Clearly the government is confiscatory and inefficient. We need to radically simplify our laws eg: flat tax, pull our troops out of the rest of the planet, kill the complex stifling overtaxing bureaucracies. Clearly those retirees and those with entitlements will not get nearly all they were promised.

How many time have you seen that before christmas. Ask retired CIA agents why their selling everything off and moving to texas and oklahoma, what are they scared of. Ask Bill Richardson why he had all of his extended family to meet in Nicarauga to discuss what was fixing to transpire in America, and told all that he had been preparing for this for ten years. Buying land in Texas and Costa Rica to provide a safe haven for family members. So why is everyone that is in the information loop picking these locations, what do they know that we don’t. The things this article predict will not come about from nuclear war or astroids … but from the next administrations tax policies. Funny how right after the election I told my wife I felt like takeing all our money out of the bank and stocks (what little stocks we have), buying gold and hiding it.
I pray that President Obama will be a good president, but common sence says that his tax plan will force many, many small business to close. Most small grocery stores and small independent hardware stores will be gone within 2 years under President Obamas tax plan. They will first have to lay off workers …. then raise prices …. then close because everyone will have gone to the super wall mart and home depot where the prices can remain cheaper. This is not the democrats intent … but this will be the result of the tax the “rich” (a figure that starts some where between as low as $50,000 to $250,000. The range changes all the time and you know that the high range was just a flat out lie.
After all these small business close that will create the huge wave of un-employment … not of just regular workers but the hard driving, educated self employed former small business owners and their famlies.
Those of you who voted for the goody train actually are responsible for tearing up the very track the train runs on.

All this reminds me of a French book that I read in 1994 on the predictions of Nostradamus who placed severe trouble in 2007 -2008 , which he said will last until 2020. He spoke of war with the Arabs (the Russians would be their ally), famine in Europe, events, the return of misery …..
He spoke of the renewal of relations between the U.S. and France because France would bring to power a new king (Szarkosi makes me think of Napoleon ….. same size, same character… may we need to see there why Nostradamus use the term king), that he will fly to the rescue of USA that would cost him the destruction of Paris etc etc……..VERY BIZARRE

INSTEAD OF WRINGING OUR HANDS LIKE WEAK SIMPS; WHY DON’T WE DO SOMETHING ABOUT ThIS?? Start by ending all these wars immediately, bring the troops home, and use our tax money to rebuild infrastructure including good mass transit, and re-establishing small towns with family organic farms. The farmers would receive a subsidy to produce goods at low prices so the people don’t go hungry. Use the same infrastructure to include solar panels on our roofs for heating and cooling. Allow a formal squatter process to take place, which grants a place to live in return for some sweat equity. It’s called everyone working together. That would require all of us to behave like grown ups and not overreact like a bunch of simpering adolescents. This Celente person seems to love to predict disaster, but seems to pleased with his own predictions. We don’t need another synchophantic know-it-all, who has no intention of working to prevent such suffering. This does not have to be as Celente says. Who would benefit from such upheaval? Perhaps his EU masters? We don’t need useless arrogant commentators telling us the obvious, we need problem solvers. Celente reminds me of the gleeful punk who just loves to announce how brilliant his predictions were. The real question is…are these PREDICTIONS, OR A CAREFULLY SCRIPTED RANT DESIGNED TO INSTILL PANIC AND FURTHER THE DISASTER? The catastrophe that is about to hit our nation had its beginnings in the Bush Administration. Everytime someone in the administration wanted to level with the American people about the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan were dismissed. The wars were to be “off budget” where we don’t know the cost of the wars. For every problem the solution has been tax cuts. When the Interstate in the Twin Cities fell into the Mississippi the solution was tax cuts. When the hurricane struck New Orleans the solution wasn’t rebuilding that city the solution was more tax cuts. After the terrorist attacks of 9-11 on New York City, Arlington, and Pennsylvania the solution was tax cuts and to weaken the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. We cannot continuously run higher deficits and think that we never have to pay the bill. It’s time the bill was paid and a restoration of our country takes shape. Those that are scared to death of higher taxes I’d like to help you to recall the 1990’s. This was the decade of President Bill Clinton. Taxes may have been higher for those making over $100,000 and there were additional IRS agents making sure people were not lying on there income taxes. At the same time our economy was humming right along and it didn’t come to an end until George Bush was elected President. The attacks of 9/11 made people forget how bad the economy had gotten in his first nine months of the Presidency, they just wanted to feel secure. It’s a real shame that Bush didn’t follow the tax policies of the Clinton Administration or at least try to keep a budget surplus or even a rainy day fund. The current President, a so called “conservative,” spent like a drunken sailor! Those of you that think that it’s the welfare recipients that are sinking our country have your eyes pointed at the wrong place. Remember welfare reform? There is a two year maximum period to receiving benefits after that they just die on the streets. Our tax money is in the pockets of Haliburton, the Saudi’s, the defense industry, and the oil industry. I know that fishing and farming is the way. They can raise the prices of store bought food but you can eat like a king if you compost, garden and live a little bit greener. I am happy that I bought my home when I was single and onnly making $7.00/hr. I can still afford my home, I did not get kicked out of it because I tried to live beyond my means. I am 34 years old and would be able to pay off my home in 30 months if I streched my payments to $1000.00 monthly.

First of all Alan, under welfare to work, recipients continue to receive their benefits. They are simply required to work 20 hours in order to do so after the first 2 years. No-one is is thrown off welfare and other poverty programs, and no-one is dieing in the streets.
Second of all, the figures for how wonderful the economy were under Clinton are skewed. When Clinton entered office, unemployment was around 5.?, when he left it was 3.?.
Incomes did not rise under Clinton, they fell. Single earners made considerably less , while household income rose slightly. The rise happened due to the fact that most households had to work 2 1/2 jobs to make ends meet.
Taxes went up under Clinton. For those of us who were working and middle class, we were often enraged by the Dems. They gave tax breaks to welfare recipients. Anybody who made $35,000 and up suffered under Clinton.
You’re arguments are full of errors, Alan. And although I agree with you that Bush is nothing more than a spend happy lib, you’re painfully wrong about almost everything else. {Like most Republicans, Bush ran on a platform which promised smaller government, fiscal resposiblity, etc. Like all politicians, he lied. Bush only got elected to a second term because he was the lesser of two evils.}

This is the kind of negativity this country doesnt need right now. I dont deny that we are in deed in a unique crisis of sorts and a lot needs to be done to get us out of it. But what we need is positive leadership. Someone instilling hope and rallying people to fight being labeled and stuck in some sort of predictable-action category and instead, encourage them to do what they are capable of : pulling together and problem-solving. We are a unique and brilliant species which has made some pretty big mistakes. And we are also a brilliant species capable of getting oursleves out of this. But there are many who need leadership and optimism to do this. Not someone telling them ‘this is what will happen, this is inevitable’ – thats a load of crap! I for one, refuse to pigeon-holed into a category of predictable behavior and will continue to lobby and support whatever it takes this new president to get us back on our feet. I am part of the middle class in this nation. And I have too much self-respect and pride to sit idly by and let someone tell me how I am going to respond to something. I have a phrase at work over my desk as a daily reminder: “Embrace change as an internally driven desire, before it becomes an externally driven threat.” This doesn’t mean rioting or revolution! This means standing together and taking a look at what each one of us is willing to do differently in a proactive way, in order to get our country back on its financial and social feet, and to consider what part each of us can take to rethink how we do things.

I do not speak about these things to my clients because I’m afraid it will cause them to live in fear. The wise person will pay attention to what this man has to say and be prepared just like he talks about. I advise many corporations and people who are on a higher level and do understand what is happening. The middle class person is only dealing now with their first taste of the difficult economic times to come. It does not matter who is president over the next four years the course is set and we have to be prepared.

People helped each other. They shared food, goods, clothing, and rations. They joined together in families and shared housing, grew their own foods and learned to live leaner.

If you agree or disagree with these predictions is really not what one should be concerned about. What you should be cocerned about is if you have accepted Jesus Christ as you personal saviour. Note that he said the dollar would be devalued by 90% during 2008. It’s fallen all right, but not that much, not even close. The guy is a little off base. We’re in for some tough times and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some increases in homelessness, and to see unemployment hit 10% or 12% but what he is talking about is going a bit far. He also says that in 1929 that no one was on drugs…wrong! The abuse of alcohol during Prohibition was rampant (illegal or not) and regulation of over-the-counter medication was a joke. Many things sold at that time were very dangerous and would never be allowed in a modern pharmacy. Plus, cocaine and heroin were legal up until about 1915 or so – Coca-Cola had cocaine in it until about 1915! So he’s way off the mark. I’m sure his story appeals to all the people watching Fox News who love to get their blood boiling, but it’s not all that accurate.

I have been studying this subject intently for 3 years, and Celente is not the only one drawing up bleak figures. Synchronous failure is very real, and it is unfolding before our very eyes. Peak oil, the devaluation of the dollar, the credit crisis, the mortgage crisis, etc, it all creates a downward spiral aided by lowered hopes and disillusionment.
I have been taught that the problem is the solution. You can work with the flow and come out with a way of life tailored to the situation. The economy is downsizing, so let’s downsize it. Build a community that has a local economy; mint your own local currency, grow your own food. Security and resilience comes from self-sufficiency coupled with local cooperation.

Much of worst can be avoided if people settle for lower salary, Outsourcing is wiping the middle class layer off. Put a ban on all risky Investment Instruments. If banks had given loan upto 60% of market value of house, there wouldn’t have been crazy housing bubble.Also If outsourcing is cut & introduce people to come into country where skillset is required. I have been actively working in the real estate business through every up and down market for the past 30 years. Realtors see the signs of change before the media reports come out. Taxes have long been a source of discontent. St Petersburg has been dealing with tent city for years. Vacant homes show signs of evening squatters, the homeless numbers are increasing under our local overpass. This is Tampa Bay, one of the big bubble real estate markets…and, a market that is turning around. Go back to Azoulas comments, Nov 23rd #354. We need to work on the problems at local level and become self-sufficient. Denial is not an option.

What do you see President-elect Obama’s role in what is in the near future. Can we but pray
that he can do some things to help this country. I did not vote for him but I have been following

Well, if he is right it is up to us to show that he will be wrong. We have no one else to blame but ourselves. Lets stick to logic instead of getting carried away. Revolution in 4 years? Sounds rather far fetched.
As for the economy, we don’t know how bad its going to get but we know it’s in pretty bad shape. And that’s the bottom line. Keep the pressure on the government to focus on fixing the economy and be sure to oppose wars. We’ve already seen how the Iraq war, which was based on a lie, has badly bled the US economy and continuing with other such misadventures is only going to do more damage. Yeah, I’ve heard him before. I can’t say I disagree with any of the premises, he’s right on. I’m with you I hope he is wrong about the outcome. It IS possible that we are headed in to a depression, what that means to say you and me, I can’t wrap my head around that yet. Our governments both local and nationally are not shrinking as they should be. They are not reacting to a slow down, they think that they are entitled and that we are better off if they get our money and spend it. They refer to our tax payments as ‘income’ – it is NOT income it is MY share of MY paycheck. And Obama’s proposed programs and all of this bail out crap is adding to the shit pile. I’ll bet you a dollar that our next local property tax rates will be increased to ‘make up’ for the devaluations of our homes. The main thing that led to the great depression was leverage, individuals, companies and governments borrowing too much – over extended to handle a normal downturn in business. The exact same root cause is now causing this ‘economic crisis’ and these entities we are baling out are the same ones who went too far out on a ledge. All Americans do NOT deserve to own a house and a new Hummer, you get to earn it.
We need to,
* take back all of the bail outs – fuck them, we’ll get by without their crappy products and services. Oops, sorry, made a mistake, it’s my money and you’re on your own just like the rest of us pal. A free country means you also can freely go bankrupt in a free market society. Consequences of your actions you little snot nosed clowns.
* raise interest rates to encourage SAVINGS. Rates need to be higher so those who have some savings can get a better return without playing the Las Vegas slots, i.e. stock market. Easy money, too low rates was the fueling this idiocy in the housing market and ALL involved in selling houses are culpable.
* life is a do-it-yourself adventure, when did our ass fuck governments become like some cosmic communistic santy claus?
* let those who could not and should not afford to buy a home make it or break it on their own.
* For now, get the hell out of Iraq and Afghanistan, we can return later if need be – and we will need to anyway. Just make it clear to our enemies and by this I mean name cities and towns that WE PROMISE will be leveled with conventional weapons if we are attacked again, second time, promise nuclear weapons. Take the gloves off and tell the world to go fuck themselves and the hundreds of millions of dollars we send to other countries. If they need our help for the next five years, no mas, take care of it yourself like a grown up.

I believe Celente’s predictions. I do firmly believe that eventually not only the people of the United States (mainly the middle class), but people of other nations will unite and revolt, the likes of which has never been seen in history. Anybody with a brain can see what’s happening in the U.S. today. CNN may have just announced that we are now in a recession, but do we really have to wait for CNN to announce it, when people realize we’ve been in a recession for years? The cost of living keeps rising and salaries are remaining the same. All of this is being done purposely to destroy the middle class and turn the U.S. into nothing more than a third world nation. The Federal Reserve Bank keeps printing more and more money, putting it into circulation and each time devaluing the U.S. dollar. By now, I’m sure it’s probably not even worth the paper it’s printed on.
I’ve been really disgusted with Americans on the whole, because so many of us seem oblivious to what is going on right under our noses. Revolution is the only way things will change. Historically, all politicians and CEOs of large corporations have done is comply with those at the top who are controlling all this madness. By those at the top, I mean the international bankers who own the Fed and have complete control of our economy. Politicians and others who are in the top decision-making positions are traitors to this country because without their complicity, the international bankers could never accomplish all the evil they do and have done up to this point–including starting wars. By the way, the recent so called “terrorist” attacks in India were done by the same demons who pulled off 911. Trust me, it wasn’t Pakistan. Didn’t take a genius to predict the crash of ‘08 a year in advance. The indicators were obvious. But Celente’s not only a fraud on the future, he can’t even see the past. Example: he describes the ascendancy of Barack Obama as mainly the result of Oprah Winfrey’s endorsement. “With the undisputed Queen of TV in his corner, the Obama campaign suddenly transformed into a flawlessly packaged Oprah production…. every event was staged to perfection… as if by magic, Obama, an adequate public speaker, became the master of the Teleprompter…” etc. Only a fool who was paying no attention to Obama’s career could make such a preposterous statement. He didn’t see Obama’s speech at the 2004 convention? He didn’t pay attention to his virtuoso performance in the 2006 Senate race? He didn’t notice that the campaign’s stagecraft was superlative long before Winfrey jumped onboard? He never heard of David Axelrod, who was running excellent campaigns when Barack Obama was a college kid? He never saw the polling figures that showed Winfrey’s influence was negligible (and mixed)? Anyone can predict anything. If they happen to become right then they become revered and if they become wrong then who cares. Look at Nostradamus. People still believe that his predictions will come true yet none really have. Could Celente be right with this prediction…possibly, but what good can come from such despair. Much of our current predicament has been created by psychological mayhem created by a doomsday media. If you present negativity that’s what you get back. Our economy can handle a financial blow like we have seen but what it might not be able to handle is a nation so filled with negative sentiment that it feels fearful and hopeless. With such a lack of poor leadership in or congress and in the media, it is no wonder why we are where we are. What a legacy to pass on to my new born son!
