Over the weekend, the American toll in Iraq reached the sad milestone of 4000 military deaths. Pat Buchanan, appearing on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, asked "Where does it all end?" He noted that two-thirds of Americans now want to get out of Iraq, but "they don’t want a defeat, and they don’t want a disaster."
Chris Matthews, who joined the program from Washington, pointed out that Vice President Cheney recently replied "So?" when asked about popular opinion being against the war. "That is their attitude towards the public," Matthews stated. "A decent respect for the opinions of mankind? Forget it." He emphasized, however, that "at some point, the opinion of the American people matters."
Buchanan commented that the Democrats in Congress were elected in 2006 to bring an end to the war but have failed to do so. He asked whether Barack Obama might also conclude by next fall "that we can’t really do it because we don’t want to risk a disaster."
Matthews, however, did not see that sort of backtracking as an option. "You have to make it clear to the Iraqi government … eventually Americans come home," he stated. "They’re going to have to get that message clear as heck from the voters."
Matthews went on to criticize Republican presidential candidate John McCain for not presenting that kind of clear message to the Iraqi government. "The message from McCain is ‘we’ll stay as long as you folks make it necessary,’" Matthews said. "I think McCain … has left it up to the Iraqi politicians how long we stay. … It’s not their call!"
"We should reestablish control of our own foreign policy," insisted Matthews. "The American people should decide … not the Iraqi politicians. … If we’re winning, we ought to be able to come home. The definition of victory is Americans get to come home! It’s not that you get to stay longer!"
Matthews finished by discussing the way in which the administration has constantly redefined its goals to justify staying in Iraq. "It is an invasion and an occupying force," he stated. "It’s not a regime change. It’s not a neat taking out of some bad guy. The language has been scary!"
"This administration has used language to justify a policy … which wouldn’t have been able to be sold under the old language," Matthews concluded. "Unfortunately, the media has bought into it."

The media is so thoroughly compromised by conglomerated corporate interests it is nothing but carefully filtered and spun propaganda. The reason the media is full of moronic, spineless journos is that the good ones with integrity that report on the truth are squeezed out of the media. They’re either fired, never promoted or never commissioned in the first place.

If people would quit whoring themselves out to the government by joining the military for the sake of a paycheck or out of some misguided delusion of “patriotism” (or whatever the reason), maybe more Americans would get to stay home.

Don’t worry folks, war is romantic, it’s all about democracy and our freedoms. But before the mission is accomplished, Iran must be attacked so that there could be this love fest around the world. It’s all for a good cause folks.
The next Bin Laden video should convince us all.
Remember it’s always easy to find a passport from a burning inferno, but impossible to find any Data recorder or Voice recorder from a plane crash, after all these devices are just made of virtually indestructible material. So, it’s going to take a miracle to find Bin Laden in a cave, unless it’s made from cardboard. Think about it!

Yes yes, must MUST invade Iran because of……well……because of ……..Al Quaeda, that’s why!
And Bin Laden, the Master Fugitive of all time, is on the move again. This time his dasterdly deed consists of sending another of those infamous tapes, beware, beware, beware!!!
This guy is UNSTOPPABLE. No force on earth can find or capture him. He knows everything. He is everywhere. He makes buildings topple with a single breath, whether they were hit with aircraft or not.
I’m telling ya…..don’t mess with Binny Boy.

The reason we CAN’T COME HOME, is because TOO MANY posts get zinged into the black hole by Word Press, slow down you’re posting too fast, etc., etc..
I am getting really tired of spending hours on these forums to lose a high percentage of my posts to the vacuum of outer space.
It is hard work to write about ideas, HARD WORK!!!! and I work hard all day at my job too boot.
I think I will let the neocons win, I have been fighting for years and I have become exhausted by the empty “black hole” phenomena and the masses being in denial and laughing about.
Time to pack up and head out, good luck to you all, I am done.
This my friends is how they will win the war AND THEY KNOW IT.

If you want to avoid the “Slow down, you’re posting too fast” problem, use proxies (which you should be using anyway). Post a comment through one proxy, leave the board, come back and post through a different proxy, and on it goes.

Those two hosts have to be the dumbest s--- heads yet.
We agree that Mc’ Traitor is a good man?
When people say the US would face being defeat what the hell are they talking about?
f--- you Chris Mathews.

A little too late, Hardnuts, Mathews! Ron Paul has been preaching this “I don’t like this talk” foreign policy from the beginning. Have you given him any credit? NOOOO, just like your ego maniac, Keith Olberlessthanaman. Buchannan is OK in my book, but that Mika shrill is a bubblle headed bleach blonde reporting the dire news with a gleam in her eye. This stuff just makes me want to vomit! When are the sheep going to wake up and stop being afraid. We need to be mad as hell about 2 people dying over this STUPID, SICK, war, let alone 4,000! Did anyone even watch “Winter Soldier” procedings sponsered by IVAW.ORG ??? Get involved, people…
March 24th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
calling 4.000 dead “a milestone” is disgusting!
Screw the mainstream media crooks and the traitors in government!

The Dems and their anti-Christian absurdities deserve what they get!!!

Christianity is nothing more than another form of control over social culture. Research why the elites sought to expand the idea of Jesus Christ. Its all about worship of the sun. The ancient peoples of the world worshiped the sun sense it gives us life and salvation everyday it rises in the heavens. All how you want to look at it I guess. But this being a conspiracy theory site its amazing how so many are unaware of their own manipulated faith and exploitation of peoples beliefs . Go pay respect for the sun , it doesn’t get the thanks it deserves for being our Light of the World.
