The dramatic retrenchment is announced on the TxDOT website tonight.
The recommendation by TxDOT “will effectively end efforts to develop TTC-35 through the Trans-Texas Corridor concept,” it says.
I-35 has long been recognized, TxDOT says in the announcement this evening, as one of the state’s most congested highways, delaying travel for motorists and freight.
“The TTC concept was introduced in 2001 as a strategy to address congestion.”
However earlier this year TxDOT officials decided that the TTC concept was being set aside because of collapsing political support.
Wednesday, TxDOT officials will explain the final steps in the TTC-35 environmental review process and outline the department’s path forward, the announcement says.

At least they’re beliefs are real and tangible. I for one would love to see all natives go back to their original beliefs, for their own peace of mind and sanity and lose the sham of christianity. one person per household(husband or wife) works 25 hours per week and makes $50,000 a year. the rest of their time is spent relaxing in the garden/farm/family/fun time.
If we had good leaders this could be done. i actually do blame the chrisitans for our current economic situation. why? because they will vote for someone like ronald reagen, bush sr, bush jr only because of their abortion stance. chrisitans have failed to realize there votes have piled up HUGE DEBT. all of those idiots ran our country deep into the red.

You may not respect other people’s freewill but you respect yours? I assume so, remember you are what you are by the grace of God. To preach the gospel is to promote Christ, not pointing out faults in their beliefs. The Holy Spirit will challenge them if they are going to believe. Not your job, just state the gospel, and if they don’t want any part of it, then get out of dodge.
Show grace like God did to us with the Cross. Remember even the Lord said “Father, forgive them, for they know NOT what they are doing!”.

One could ask Christ why did he allow Judas to be a disciple when he clearly was an unbeliever? Jesus told the gospel to the disciples on the sermon on the mount, the last little part was the salvation message to Judas. He denied the message obviously, however, he was one of the 12 until he committed suicide after the betrayal of Christ. He was also known as a thief, he was the subterfuge type and still Jesus tried to shine the light towards him.
It only takes the faith of mustard seed to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, however, you have to make the choice. Jesus basically spread his gospel, most came for the miracles, some converted, and some maligned against him. He still died for everyone’s sins on the Cross regardless of your personal opinion about him for it was the Father’s plan.
God is grace and people who are self-righteous try to make a 12 step program usually involving faith plus works. God is supposed to get the credit because he did all of the work.
Even when you choose to believe, you are only agreeing with what God had done. Grace is a hard concept to master due to the fact that we are taught false doctrines usually through “out of context” syntax.
I do hope people will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, he did die for everyone’s sins on the Cross, and to know eternal happiness is just one thought. What do you think about the Christ?

They’ve already made such an announcement, months ago, but it didn’t fool anyone. The NAFTA Superhighway is mostly just the existing infrastructure (i.e., I-35) and the first Mexican truckers rolled into the heart of American in the summer of 2007. All the hype about multiple lanes and pipelines and rail traffic, etc. doesn’t have to take place at all to achieve the desired effect. It’s already being done.
