Citigroup to Cut More than 30,000 Jobs

| Citigroup posted a fourth-quarter loss of $9.83 billion, its first loss since the bank was created in 1998 from the merger of Citicorp and Weill’s Travelers Group. | |

Citigroup’s job cuts could reach 30,000 or more over the next year and a half because of increasing writedowns from subprime-related debt, CNBC has learned.
The layoffs would exceed the previously reported 24,000 job cuts that had been expected at the banking giant.
Chief Executive Vikram S. Pandit is currently conducting a massive cost review and could cut as much as 10 percent of the bank’s workforce of 370,000, according to people familiar with the situation.
In the past, Citigroup would lay off people and then hire them back as consultants. But with more bad-debt writedowns looming, Pandit wants to make the cuts permanent, sources say.
“They are asking managers if you have a task that takes six people, implement a plan where it only takes four people to complete,” said one manager.

Well this is a bit overblown.
If you are a semi/highly-skilled person (computer programmer, financial analyst, entrepreneur) you are gonna do very well in our new globalized economy…all you have to do is be flexible and move around from one country to another.
Plenty of my highly skilled friends have moved to London, Rio, New Dehli, Karachi and Tokyo and are doing well and living well.
If someone has no skills or is low skilled (that is about 60% of USA population) then you are screwed.
If your living in one of the higher value home areas (LA, SF, San Diego, Miami, Vegas, Phoenix, etc) then home values will return to their 1999-2001 prices which are affordable if youve got a decent job.
But if your living in Missouri or Kansas or Texas then your home values didnt go up and they are so low they cant go down…so your probably fine.

In an online Hebrew dictionary I stumbled across, a ‘Nasi’ is a leader of the Jewish Sanhedrin (sp?), or a Jewish prince.
I’d heard a guy online, not in relation to this, say, ‘really look at the meanings of words’.
…so I did.
I have limited knowledge of German, but I had trouble making the supposed acronym of ‘Nazi’ work for what should have been NSAB National Socialist Workers Party.
We’re dealing with two different alphabets, at least two different languages – as there seemed to be speakers of both German and Hebrew on this thread – I thought I’d ask.
It seemed odd that such a close spelling and phoenitic (sp?) relationship exist for an organization to have named themselves with that word.

I have decided from youtube videos in which Magic is demonstrated in an open enviroment that it is quite possible that to a certain extent it is real.
To clarify I have seen some levitation stuff that is not explainable, take that and add it too all those images of Baphomet hovering off the ground and it becomes stranger. Chris Angel does things that are hokey but when he levitates from building to building and above a pyramid I begin to see symbols that are usualy found in old occult texts books.
I think that the Templars found the Kabbala in solomons tomb and used that as a demonstration to the elite who became obsessed with it. That is where all this Harry Potter stuff from Europe and esp Britian cross over. It is interesting, either they have some ’secret knowledge’ about physics we don’t or it is literaly magic or both.
