Climate Change: Hoax of the Century

Carbon dioxide, a benign, life giving molecule has been miscast by a world wide political movement to be an environmental hazard in what will soon be discovered to be the hoax of the century. This molecule, CO2 is vital to all life on earth. It is exhaled by all living things and even comes from nocturnal emissions by plants. It forms the bubbles in your soda, wine and beer. Standard air has 370 parts per million (PPM) of carbon dioxide of which 93% comes from “natural sources” which are all beyond human control. These sources include decomposition of organic matter, exhaling by living things and volcanic vents, which is by far the greatest atmospheric source. The climate change hoax is based on faulty science from two things. First, hoaxers assume that ice layers give information on temperature like tree rings do with rainfall. Ice cores from Greenland and Antarctica, from thousands of years of deposits, are measured for CO2 content of the air at the time the snow layer was deposited and thickness of the ice layers. The thickness of these snow fall layers is then assumed to be an indication of global temperature. There are numerous errors in this assumption, which have been presented in a more technical analysis, but for now pretend that this evidence is true. The hoaxers then show graphs over time with a near perfect match of CO2 levels and snow thickness and by implication the earth’s temperature. The second bit of “proof” of human caused global warming is the Global Climate Model which is available to all at Wikipedia. By their own admission, this model was developed for SHORT RANGE weather forecasting and we all know how accurate that is. This formula, though not given on this web site, has a hundred parameters each with its own coefficient and exponent. By manipulating these numbers the hoaxers are able to “prove” that an increase of CO2 will raise world temperature.

The whole concept of “greenhouse gas” is absurd. The earth receives a full spectrum of electromagnetic radiation by day (Duh!) but by night only a portion, the infrared stored on the surface, is radiated back into space. There is no gaseous one way control of this energy. The atmospheric gasses can absorb or reflect some of this energy but can not increase the incoming amount. Carbon dioxide is a three-atom molecule that cannot possibly determine that all radiation should be allowed in by day, but none can escape by night. Consider the insulation or radiant barrier in your home’s attic. The radiant barrier bounces solar radiant energy away from your living space in the summer and bounces radiant energy trying to exit back into your house in the winter. Insulation does the same thing with convective energy, keeping heat out in summer and heat in during the winter. The atmosphere behaves the same way. To claim that any gas, whether CO2 or methane or any other, can simultaneously allow energy in by day but block energy exit by night is absurd. To think that the hoaxers claim of a change in 10 parts per million of CO2 molecules could effect the earths climate in any way is insane. IF CO2 had these miracle properties then all double pane glass panels would be filled with CO2 and the magic molecules would work like little Venetian blinds allowing full heat by day and no loss at night. In fact, greenhouse glass does not block radiant heat loss at night, but only a fraction of convective heat loss that is trapped by the physical glass barrier.

Our democracy depends on informed consent. Informed should not be limited to lies told by a political movement. When the full scope of the scientific errors involved in this hoax are exposed everyone will realize this has been the greatest folly since the flat earth theory. We deserve a real debate. I remember the big worry of the coming ice age. It was all doom and gloom. Great article… Although I had to read through it twice to soak up all the information. I think one of the problems with the global warming/cooling issue is the complexity of the science. So little is known about the forces that have shaped our planet, and it will take years of research before we can be certain of anything.
One thing is certain, major changes in climate; mass extinction; continental drift are things that take thousands and millions of years to occur. In the breaif episode that is the average human life time, not very much is going to happen. Indeed in the breif time that the human species evolves and eventually becomes extinct, not very much is going to happen. In a few million years a whole lot will have happened, and humans will be long gone.
The earth really isnt under threat. Its so huge and the wildlife (except for a few large mamals and some rare insects/reptiles) is coping just fine.
There are litterally thousands and thousands of acres of land that remain as total wilderness, completely devoid of human interference. Most of us however live in the most populated parts of the world, on soils eroded through the last glaciation. From our perspective humans seem to be everywhere, ruining everything.
Certainly some species are suffering because of us, but suffering and extinction is what drives evolution. Something else will ultimately always emerge, the fossil record is proof of this.
To attemp to keep certain species alive is really a rather selfish act, because we like something. Nature has no care it just go’s as it go’s.
Its about time everyone swatted up and relised that while humans are certainly destructive in their progress, we cant really do all that much damage to the earth overall. In prehistoric times there have been numberous mass extinctions. Its the way of the world whether we like it or not. We could attempt to save evrything from whatever, only for a meteorite to strike, or a super volcano to erupt.
The earth is a vast ancient planet, and the life upon it, the climate, even huge mountains like the himalayas will come and go.

Supposedly we are to ascend to the next age, which a step up from where we are today.

Next time you see a pole shift then time it for me. And mamoths might well have died and then been frozen in the arctic circle, which is kind of in the northern hemisphere, a place that can see drastic localised weather events. And whats this about the mayans? Their apocalypse came only too quick, and their ideas were based upon their fear for the event that eventually wiped out their short lived failed civilisation. Also a million years is nothing in the earths history, if a pole reversal occured within that time it could be considered as fast.

I guess that you were refering to the work of Immanuel Velikovsky and his book Earth in Upheaval, or perhaps one of his supporters like Charles Ginenthal.
Both authors refer to two polar shifts, one sending siberia into a warmer zone, and then back again into a colder one. The main reason for this was based upon the un consumed food stored in the stomach pouch, within the mammoth carcass. The science is a bit flaky, and represents one of a number of theories regarding the large number of frozen mammoth, and other mammal carcases. The climate must have changed rapidly, but there is no evidence that the mammoths were frozen in an instant. The genetic adaptions of the mamoth would seem to suggest that it had evolved in a temporate region where there were reasonably cold winters. Their fur covering and their small ears were designed for heat retention, as opposed to the elephants bald skin, and large ears for heat dissapation.
I beleive that it was volcanic activity that caused the mamoths to become enveloped within the permafrost. Huge quantities of dust can get thrown up into the stratosphere. The result would have been less sunlight, and consiquently cooler temperatures.
The reason why so many thousands of mamoths and other creatures became frozen and undecomposed within the northern hemisphere still remains a mystery.
I take your point however, that some climatic events can occur rather quickly.

Global climate change is certainly a reality. However, human beings did not create either the last ice age or the tropical age before that (tropical fossils have been found in the Arctic).

Not once is it stated that the carbon dioxide molecule ‘holds’ more infrared radiation than air does. Take two identical deep containers and heat with lamps. Mix vinegar and baking soda in a big pitcher and very slowly ‘pour’ the invisible gas into one container. CO2 is more dense than air and it should stay in the bottom of the container. Check gas by inserting a burning match, CO2 will put flame out like it was water. Insert a thermometer in each container and you will find the CO2 container about 5 degrees warmer than the other container. Now, if there is an increase in CO2 in the atmosphere, then there will be an increase in temperature. As far as the other planets, Mercury has no atmosphere so the sunny side is over 400*C whereas the shady side is lower than -200*C. Yet Venus, has the hottest recorded surface temperatures in the entire Solar System, at a constant blistering 468*C. Now why does the SECOND closest planet have the hottest surface area? Could it be the massive amounts of CO2 all her volcanoes have been spewing?

I spelled out an elementary school level science project that you could do on your very own. I thought it would be an easy way for ‘truthers’ to figure some s--- out for themselves…maybe get some truth on their own? I use the same simple physics when pointing out what a controlled demolition looks like. Precession of the Equinoxes refers to the ‘great year” or Platonic year. I am not sure if Plato is responsible for the theory or just mentioned it. The fact remains that the tilt of our planet’s axis is responsible for both summer and winter. The wobble of that axis would certainly affect our weather over time – and it is the longest cycle known to man. Pyramid-building began during the early part of the Age of Taurus (around 3,000 BC) and (in theory) the last ice age was about 15,000 years ago. I have often speculated that the thawing of the glaciers may have caused the “great flood” mentioned in Genesis. It’s quite possible that someone like Noah headed the signs and built an ark. After all an “act of nature” is still referred to as an “act of God” in law. Did God create nature? I don’t see how anyone can escape the fact that something (our universe) can be created from nothing. Anyways, I vote for God!

Precession of the Equinoxes is a 26 thousand year cycle, caused by the wobble of the Earth’s axis. If the tilt of the axis causes both summer and winter, surely the wobble would effect global temperature over the 12 ages (each are 2,160 years long). End-time prophecies refer to a “new earth and a new heaven” at the end of the current era (Age of Pisces). Since Pisces ends on December 21, 2012, the “new” age of Aquarius begins.

Lake Vostok ice core samples 25 years ago proved that carbon dioxide levels rise for 21,000 years and then stop (over a 400,000 year spectrum). I don’t see how Al Gore can blame human civilization for either the Earth’s wobble or past climate change that occurred before the pyramids!

The message of “climate scientists” and “climate explorers”/”pioneers” is always the same: WE’ve traveled to the Arctic, the Antarctic, the tropics, the oceans, we’ve traveled to the most remote places all over the world, spoken to the most diverse cultures all over the globe, using carbon emitting planes, ships, cars, trains to get around.
But NOW we’re here to tell you, that “we” (= the KEYWORD of collectivism) can’t go on “polluting” the earth with carbon, so YOU (not us) have to stop all plane travel, all cars, and must become “sustainable” by going back to medieval times.
bottom line: they’re *always* hypocrites.
