Colin Powell Warns Of Coming Crisis “We Don’t Even Know About Right Now”

Colin Powell has made bizarre comments that echo the recent declaration by Democratic VP candidate Joe Biden that there will be an "international crisis" early into Barack Obama’s presidency that will test the new president by forcing him to make unpopular decisions.
Speaking on meet the press two days ago, Powell officially endorsed Obama and also made the following statement:
"The problems will always be there and there’s going to be a crisis which will come along on the 21st, 22nd of January that we don’t even know about right now.
So I think what the President has to start to do is to start using the power of the oval office and the power of his personality to convince the American people and convince the world that America is solid, that America is going to move forward, we are going to fix our economic problems, we’re going to meet out overseas obligations."

Is Colin Powell referring to a theoretical crisis that could occur at any time? If so why does he choose a specific date, within the first two days after the inauguration? Also why does he refer to general problems that the new president will have to deal with in a separate context? We are already in an economic crisis, everyone knows that, so what new crisis is Powell talking about?
Whatever you read into Powell’s comments, they sound somewhat bizarre, particularly as they come on the back of Joe Biden’s "guarantee" of a "generated crisis" to "test the mettle" of the new leader within six months of the new presidential term:
What does Biden mean by "generated crisis"? It is an undeniably strange term to use.
His reference to John F. Kennedy indicates that Biden may have been referring some kind of geopolitical crisis in the vain of the Cuban missile crisis of April 1961. The confrontation between the United States, the Soviet Union, and Cuba at the height of the Cold War came within the first four months of JFK’s presidency.
Obama’s running mate made the comments at a fundraising event in Seattle two days ago, on the same day Powell also spoke of a coming crisis.
We shouldn’t be surprised at Powell’s comments however, given that the former Secretary of State seemingly has a knack for predicting events before they take place.
Previous to the beginning of the Iraq war in February 2003, an audio tape containing a voice described as that of Osama Bin Laden was touted as proof positive of Al Qaeda links with Saddam Hussein.
Hours before the tape was discovered and aired by TV channel Al Jazeera, Powell announced in the US Senate that a “Bin Laden tape is coming proving Iraq’s links with Al-Qaeda.”
This led some to raise the question how does Colin Powell know what Al Jazeera are going to broadcast before they do?
In an amazing and timely coincidence, the tape came barely a week after Powell’s attempts to link Al Qaeda and Saddam in his botched presentation of lies and exaggerations before the UN Security Council.

There is no question that we face a boatload of problems in this country at the moment. The odds that this will be the case come January 09, are also pretty good. I can’t say that Powell’s comments alarm me at all, and I believe, as the author points out in one sentence, that Powell is probably referring to a theoretical crisis. I don’t think him giving a date has anything more to it than the suggestion that immediacy of the task at hand will face whomever gains the keys to the White House.
We’ll know for sure soon enough.

Powell is such a complete liar how can anyone take anything he says “at his word”? He lost his credibility as the No.1 advocate for war with Iraq and his fake speech about WMD to the UN. Prepped with his vial of nerve gas and his childish drawings of mobile bioweapons labs in trucks. I am getting very concerned about this country that seems to have lost its memory. Powell lied about tanks being on the border ready to invade Kuwait during the run up to the Gulf War. All military intel showed there were none. Powell now gives his “blessing” to Obama. A good reason not to vote for Obama.
Biden likes to drop hints of impending events and then never give a straight answer to WeAreChange when confronted. Clearly if you follow the timeline Biden, HE knew about 9/11 before and after and met with the head of Pakistani Intelligence on 9/11. When will people wake up and confront all of the clowns more? Manufactured wars and terror are something lots of younger Americans are very aware of. How can any of these people possibly think they can outsmart bright people of all ages after being exposed? Did you ever think that maybe Powell is just throwing dates out there as an example. January 20th is inauguration day, so isn’t very possible that he’s just saying there could be a problem that Obama will have to face on his very first days in office. I don’t think he’s throwing it out there to be cryptic, and Biden by saying “generated crisis” could simply mean that, a “generated crisis” that has been created, it’s what we are currently living with, i didn’t happen by accident.

What I find even more odd and suspicious is that Brokaw didn’t press for Powell to elaborate on the ‘coming crisis’. And the fact that Powell said ‘we don’t know about’. Obviously somebody knows about it since he mentioned it. Aren’t reporters suppose to probe for facts at least, much less the truth? I give Tom Brokaw an ‘F’ for his interviewing skills, or maybe he knew not to ask any further questions. First Biden, now Powell. They’re already warning us about something and I bet many among us are still concerned about what football team’s gonna make it to the superbowl.

Doesn’t it seem logical that after all of the documentation and information, which came out post 9/11, exposing the government/military fore hand knowledge (if not outright complicity), their cover was blown and that now, they are preparing the collective American psyche, for another such possibility?…
By declaring this so called ‘crisis’ before it happens, be it an economic 9/11 or another false flag attack, and also seemingly denying knowing what ‘it is’, they are already setting it up to ‘clear’ themselves.
After ‘whatever it is’ happens, they can then claim, unlike 9/11, that they tried to ‘warn’ the people…
Thus, giving them, at least in their own minds, an ‘off the hook’ escape route when it all goes down.

I think he meant new unknown challenges to the new president, not so much refering to the specific date, but in relation to the new administration. However, I believe there is a major false-flag incident being planned for early into the next presidential term, which will be used to usher in the North American Union and the Amero. The dollar will continue to be printed into worthless, so you may want to buy real assets (such as food and water) now. craigslist.org also has a barter listing. local free listings are good too. we can just use a gold/silver standard as a basis for value, and trade goods and services with each other. Someone should put up a data base search engine to help people find bartering matches / multiple party trades.

i gotts say if we cant form up something to help the problem we may very well be part of the problem aside from that does anyone here have any “holy s---” ideas in how to help??? i lost my job last week im preety screwded now drawing unemployment wont get the first check untill 3 weeks from now so all i can do is reduce my bills the best i can to bare minimum good thing i can survive i knew this was coming its printed in the pages of the scripture this is how people are able to predict some of this happening thats going on its not a scam or anything of the sort all that aside in the next two weeks or so we are going to see a complete stop nearly of a weak economy maybe a month or two tops then the theft , killing ans such will start to get heavier than ever seen those of you who doubt this and im sure there are some on the news there was a terror alert recently i said a few posts back i believe there would be no better time to hit us than now our troops are busy what troops are here are tied up we will see an attack of some sort soon its like ocupying the police while you slip in behind them and rob a bank there would be no better time to attack us than now and that blows cause im sure many people see that and thats not a gov thing it would just be the most logical thing to do think about it would you attack a heavily fortified area with tons of troops present or would you wait till thier back was turned and strike effectivly ?

Powell is even more guilty of lying to get us into Iraq than Bush was if I remember correctly. I remember him telling congress that he knew there was more evidence of WMDs than the photos and the testomony of one Iraqi insider. We now no that was not true and Powell was the man who sold that lie to congress.
However, the article this video is attached to fails to recognize that the reason he gives the specific date of Jan 21st is because that was the date Brokaw gave in his question. THE PRESIDENT IS INNOGURATED ON JANUARY 20th!!!! Come Infowars, you guys are better than this.

Maybe, just maybe what he is saying is that A. since that is right after the new president actually takes office, so if something did happen, thats when it would affect the new person in office and B. since there has been so much s--- going on in this country and around the world its just easy to assume or easy to say that something could happen. Either Colon Powell is very stupid or he has such contempt for US citizens that he is insulting their intelligence. How do you know that an event is going to occur within a specific time frame and not know that it is going to occur. He has revealed too much not to have foreknowledge and most likely that foreknowledge includes the specific event. If this foreknowledge is from intelligence sources it seems that there is time to intervene. If it is from within his circle of associates it is nothing less than a crime organization demonstrating its power to the victims. I don’t hear Powell say “generated crisis”, but I’ll make a guess the crisis is about the event following after a treaty is made between the American People and the Sovereign Nations to whom the US government owes money to– $10,500,000,000,000+ as of Oct 21, 2008.
If your creditor demands payment from an amount you borrowed, surely they expect a payment within the agreed terms, and out of respect that agreement can be stretched, but only for so long.
I think the agreement has been stretched for too long and it’s time to pay back and if not, than assets are taken. The American people will blame the government for getting them into this mess, and the Sovereign Nation will blame our government for not delaying and breaching the agreements.
With our government caught in a pickle, a probable solution is to dissect more of the the United Stated land, regulate it against the American taxpayer to continually repay the debt, otherwise, face a possible allied assault.

Powell was simply replying to Brokaw’s question. Brokaw picked the arbitrary date of Jan. 21st, which is 1 day after the inauguration. His point being that the President, whoever it is, must be prepared to deal with crises whenever they occur which could very well be 1 month, 1 week or 1 day after he’s in office. He’s asking Powell what advise he will give the President if he is ever called into the oval office. Listen to the clip again. No one is saying that there is going to be a crisis on January 21st specifically. But there will be another crisis at some point, that’s the nature of the world not a conspiracy.

Boy, oh boy, oh boy….what next? I feel like i’m watching a movie or some s---. So many characters it’s hard to keep up. And that, my friends, is what we are dealing with. You just don’t know who’s who anymore. Either way you look at it, it can’t be good. When you think about all the drama in America over these last 2 presidencies, you’d have to wonder who is running this charade?
Let’s say, for instance, Obama is really for “change”, as his campaign declares, one little hiccup and he could easily change sides; change his mind. Most people start off on the right track, with good intentions, but some offers are a little too sweet to resist.
This site is a great example of what I’m saying. I’ve been coming to this site for a couple of years now, and i have to say, someone else is controlling it; someone other than A.J. I really and truly believe he sold out. Why do i think that? Well, i’ve been through it before. I’ve seen the same thing happen to people that really want to help others; it just doesn’t happen that way.
Whenever you have a significant amount of influence over a multitude of people, best believe the N.W.O. is GOING to contact you and make you that sweet deal. GUARANTEED! I believe the same thing has happened here. There are many things that lead me to this conclusion, such as one of the most obvious was the changing of his home page. The current home page is a HUGE step up to what he used to have. All the pictures in his flash presentation to describe the “news” is pretty impressive, i must say. Where does he find them all?
Also, there seem to be an awful lot of advertisements now.
Anyway, i used to listen to the show darn near everyday, until he started becoming obnoxious, and that would have been when he had the interview with, I think it was, Rothschild. Alex blasted this multi-billionaire, on air, ruthlessly, and Rothschild just sat through it like Alex wasn’t even there. This was sometime last year….after that time, i slowly stopped listening.

The real deal for me now, is reading these blogs. Some of the comments make great sense, others just a waste of web-space.
I have to say though, there’s a lot of blame going around; enough for everyone. FYI Alex I’m pretty sure it was the Bay of Pigs that came in April 1961 just weeks into Kennedy’s presidency, and the Cuban Missile Crisis came in October of 1962. Which actually only strengthens your argument.
It was a test for the new, young President Kennedy which he didn’t do very well on. The Bay of Pigs was a disaster. The Cuban Missile Crisis was at least handled competently. Mainly because Kennedy FINALLY used his greatest assets, his ability to negotiate, to listen, to refuse to cater to the military-industrial complex of the hawks (warned against by Eisenhower and embodied by those like Max Taylor and Curtis LeMay), decency and common sense.
If Obama handles this half as badly as JFK handled the Bay of Pigs (and he ain’t no JFK) we’re in serious trouble.
I think me and JusSayin have pretty much the same read on Obama. Vague, corporate-tool, with little real morals, who goes with the flow but, occassionally, has just enough of a fit of conscience to show brief flashes of decency. He has the same potential JFK did. I doubt he’ll live up to it. But the country’s going to take the gamble and, to be honest, given the alternatives (McCain?) I can’t blame them.
Until Ron Paul becomes a viable candidate expect more of the same. Probably not as incompetent or inherently evil as Bush but, given the times and stakes, only slightly less dangerous. McCain is Bush III. Obama is a VERY poor man’s imitation of Kennedy.
