A new round of finger-pointing will kick off Thursday morning when a House committee grills four contractors involved in the development of Healthcare.gov, the troubled site where uninsured consumers are supposed to be able to sign up for health insurance.
CGI Federal and UnitedHealth GroupUNH -1.23%’s Optum/Quality Software Services Inc. subsidiary, the two leading contractors that helped develop the site are expected to get the most questions at the ominously titled hearing “PPACA Implementation Failures: Didn’t Know or Didn’t Disclose?”
According to a House Energy and Commerce Committee memo released Wednesday, the hearing promises to “focus on the failures and issues surrounding the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s health insurance exchanges.”
