Constitutional Scholar: Bush Claims More Powers Than King George III

The Bush administration has arrogated powers to itself that the British people even refused to grant King George III at the time of the Revolutionary War, an eminent political scientist says.
“No executive in the history of the Anglo-American world since the Civil War in England in the 17th century has laid claim to such broad power,” said David Adler, a prolific author of articles on the U.S. Constitution. “George Bush has exceeded the claims of Oliver Cromwell who anointed himself Lord Protector of England.”
Adler, a professor of political science at Idaho State University at Pocatello, is the author of “The Constitution and the Termination of Treaties”(Taylor & Francis), among other books, and some 100 scholarly articles in his field. Adler made his comments comparing the powers of President Bush and King George III at a conference on “Presidential Power in America” at the Massachusetts School of Law, Andover, April 26th.
Adler said, Bush has “claimed the authority to suspend the Geneva Convention, to terminate treaties, to seize American citizens from the streets to detain them indefinitely without benefit of legal counseling, without benefit of judicial review. He has ordered a domestic surveillance program which violates the statutory law of the United States as well as the Fourth Amendment.”

Adler said the authors of the U.S. Constitution wrote that the president “shall take care to faithfully execute the laws of the land” because “the king of England possessed a suspending power” to set aside laws with which he disagreed, “the very same kind of power that the Bush Administration has claimed.”
Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez, Adler said, repeatedly referred to the President’s “override” authority, “which effectively meant that the Bush Administration was claiming on behalf of President Bush a power that the English people themselves had rejected by the time of the framing of the Constitution.”
Adler said the Framers sought an “Administrator in Chief” that would execute the will of Congress and the Framers understood that the President, as Commander-in-Chief “was subordinate to Congress.” The very C-in-C concept, the historian said, derived from the British, who conferred it on one of their battlefield commanders in a war on Scotland in 1639 and it “did not carry with it the power over war and peace” or “authority to conduct foreign policy or to formulate foreign policy.”
That the C-in-C was subordinate to the will of Congress was demonstrated in the Revolutionary War when George Washington, granted that title by Congress, “was ordered punctually to respond to instructions and directions by Congress and the dutiful Washington did that,” Adler said.
Adler said that John Yoo, formerly of the Office of Legal Counsel, wrote in 2003 that the President as C-in-C could authorize the CIA or other intelligence agencies to resort to torture to extract information from suspects based on his authority. However, Adler said, the U.S. Supreme Court in 1804 in Little vs. Barreme affirmed the President is duty-bound to obey statutory instructions and reaffirmed opinion two years later in United States vs. Smith.
“In these last eight years,” Adler said, “we have seen presidential powers soar beyond the confines of the Constitution. We have understood that his presidency bears no resemblance to the Office created by the Framers… This is the time for us to demand a return to the constitutional presidency. If we don’t, we will have only ourselves to blame as we go marching into the next war as we witness even greater claims of presidential power.”

Everybody keeps saying “we only have ourselves to blame”, but how in the world are we supposed to organize against this massive power grab when congress and the judiciary are complicit, and the king and his men have the military and covert agencies at their disposal? What’s it going to take to get America off the couch and down to DC to make our discontented numbers seen and heard? 4$ gal gas isn’t doing it, illegal wars, torture and detention didn’t do it – and if you do try to organize and educate, you’re spied on, infiltrated, discredited, put on a no-fly list, or worse…
I’m sick of hearing that “we will only have ourselves to blame”. We will have no recourse, until we can get the majority of people on board. I’m guessing that the vast majority of Americans WOULD do something, if only there was an outlet for the discontent and outrage we feel. Nobody’s going to be the lone ranger, we need to mount an civil offensive which numbers in the millions and shows the government that We, the People mean business.

zzeke that is great point. Criminals love the lone wolf because they can easily remove, kill, or discredit an individual. Though the vast power of criminality and the millions of soldiers simply willing to follow orders and do their jobs does nothing for hope. All I keep thinking about were the protestors that had lined up along the inagural parade route when Bush was taking office in Jan. 01. What did they do to these protestors and US citizens exercising free speech? They forced them at gunpoint onto buses and took hundreds of people to the DC Armory until after the parade was over. Then simply said “ok you can leave now”. That should have been the first indidcator of things to come.
This particular group of political criminals loves when you protest or rise up. Then they know exactly who to destroy.

Not just that. Lastnight, I watched a program on Discovery Civilization about a doctor who has made up a meter to measure psychopathic killers. Last night, the doc was dealing with Cults. First he talked about a Mormon cult that had one of it’s members bring a family into the barn to kill them. He rated them kinda low on the scale. Next was Charles Manson and his cult. The doc listed both Charles and Tex( the young guy Charles had execute the orders ) at 15 for doing multiple murders. The last story was on Jonestown. At first the doc was gonna treat the whole group as a cult and give them one rating with Jim Jones. But he interviewed the guy who had to watch his kid murdered, then his wife, and finally he escaped himself. The survivor attested to the fact that it was much more a case of murder en mass. Many TRIED to get away, but armed guards made them stay and many had the poison forced on them. Then the bodies were set up to look like it was all done together. Due to this new info, the doc didn’t rate the peoples of the cult at all. He rated the ones who helped Jones at 15, but he rated Jones the highest at 22 due to all the murder involved. Throughout the show, the doc showed how they did experiments with low magnetic fields on the brain. They could recreate the feelings one gets when part of and accepted by cults. He also talked about one frequency patern that actually made people accept and answer questions they already knew to be false as true. By simply turning on the field, the person, even though they knew the answer was false, had trouble and eventually answered true. So the doc was asking if a cult leader’s voice could make people accept falsehhods as truth, all depending on what is brought up and how he expounds his message.
WELL, this certainly got me thinking. WHAT ABOUT A MASSIVE CULT???
The way I see it, we are all involved right now in one of the biggest death cults ever established. This cult has society in general forgetting things they already knew as truths, and accepting any falsehood that serves the cult’s purpose. We like to call the leader a freak and murderer, but we also laugh at those manipulated by the leader as mindless drones doing whatever they are told and following whatever the leader spews. Well, take a look around your world. The world IS the stupid mindless drone follower. People don’t want to use their minds, remember what they know as truths and common sense, and follow whatever U.S. and Israel say.
I wonder how high this doctor would rate George Bush at 3000 dead for N.Y. or over 1 million dead in Iraq, when he gives Jim Jones 22 for under 1000 dead. Wonder where he would rate the Illuminati, Freemasons, Jesuits, or Kabal Freemasons who wrote the Protocols? And how would he rate this world, following the leaders and discrediting those who are smart enough to see the train coming and question authority when it is being abused??? Certainly makes one wonder.

There are still a number of Americans that do not understand the dyslexic twist of our current administration.
When jr. and the klan took the oath to office, they swore to defend America from all enemies both foreign & domestic and they meant it. But, they perceive the new Global Frankenstein Market of the New World Order to be America when it’s not.
This has come about due to decades of Nepot off shoring, involving so many former US based corporations, from domestic manufacturing to corporations that severed a dual role manufacturing for domestic needs as well as the DOD. Corporations like GM, Boeing, GE, and many others have manufatured off shore for decades and they carried off American technology when they expanded into off shore markets. And when you consider the many former DOD contractors that also jumped to off shore markets and manufactured weapons for our allies, we now have the creation of off shore, non-American, Global Frankenstein Markets.
The cabal that we are now dealing with has grown and is now more powerful than any one nation and is not obligated to any nation. That is, we now have the existence of a new nation which has no geographical location, with no national boudaries, no government, no national sovereignty, no national flag and it exists as a parasite on all other nations. And when I say “parasite” I mean it has grown to the level of a superpower in it’s own right and now dictates to all it’s smaller hosts, which are all sovereign nations of this planet.
The real problem is, they’ve taken the world hostage at all bargaining tables and our Nepot leaders have pretty much allowed them to not only infiltrate nearly all sovereign institutions globally, but assisted with the actual overthrow of other countries and now finally America.
Where we now stand with this Global Frankenstein is akin to feeding the lions, so this is your last chance America, to pet the kitty because we are fast running out of cut beef and your arms and legs will soon become the next meal.
Our founders well understood this and similar mind sets when royal Nepots run the show, trading with the enemy for profit and formation foreign alliances based upon greed, leading to the kind of wars that only kings dream of to conquer other nations. Since our Nepot leaders currently bed with this off shore Global Frankenstein Market, they see nothing wrong with taking the oath to office and pledging total loyalty to the beast they have created, but that does not represent We The People.
In laymans words, they have committed Grand Treason against this country and have sworn to defend a foreign enemy against all sovereign nations, which now includes America and our Constitution. In the process they have hijacked all our institutions, from the US Legal Justice System, to Military, to Corporate, the CIA, FBI, FAA, FCC, the Press and this of course includes our Constitution & Bill Of Rights. Said another way, our leaders have also jumped ship like the corporations that went off shore and they now enjoy spending all our Fiat based currency for their mecenary wars like a band of pirates that dream of conquering the entire planet.
And lastly, it is this cabal that is responcible for the events of 9/11, to decieve America and the world, to justify this Global power grab as the US economy foots the bill to fight a false flag war on terrorism. That is, we are funding and supporting the beast in every way and have not realized it yet. And if 9/11 was not big enough, we will see more, “as needed,” to keep this covert operation on the fast track.

The only representation Americans are getting from this administration, is when we unwittingly support the war on terrorism which is a false flag operation, that has hijacked all our institutions along with the true heart of American patriotism.
That is, our representation is based upon a grand lie, where staged events, cherry picked intel and mainstream propaganda have falsely called us to unite and we have been misled.
That is not representation in my book and more fits the definition of being a hostage that’s been lied to.
There is no place for this administration hide, they can run but they can’t hide.
Only two possible outcomes exist. They can execute another false flag event which kills thousands or perhaps millions of US citizens to keep their game afloat in the hopes of out running the clock, or they can face the gallows after they are sentenced for grand treason.
The big question we face now that so many Americans have awakened to the tune, is can this administration look us in the eye with all that has come out and then go on and pull off a mushroom cloud to beat the rap?
That’s it folks, will they bury the truth forever with a major event, or face the gallows?
I am convinced there are many in high places that know the truth and if we can get past the upcomming election without a major event, the very pit of hell could open up on those in our current administration. And if this is true, those that know and oppose what’s happening, can’t make their move until such time.
I can’t believe that only the common man & woman fully knows and understands the straight jacket this administration has created and the “checkmate scenario” we are living in as a sovereign nation.
With the change of guard so to speak, it is entirely possible everything will go off smootly with hand shakes, hugs and smiles and then they get thrown to the lions. It’s like eating slugs among a tribe of cannibals, you have to chew and smile as you nod with approval until you get past them.

I’d like to mention that while this is a valid point, females make up 52% of America’s population, and their representation in those high ranking positions is what, 2/17? That rounds to 12%. That doesn’t seem to me to be accurate representation, either.

Isn’t it time to stop using labels for people? So what if you worship one god and they worship a different one? It’s who you are as a person that defines you.
Personally, I am not religious andI really don’t care if you worship a patch of turnips on the back forty….that’s your choice. Just be fair, be kind and care about your fellow man and life will be good. Differences make life interesting and colorful….they are not a reason to incite wars.
Meanwhile, we are sending out signals into outer space to attract civilizations from other galaxies. Gee, if I was an alien and saw how we treat people who are different in any way….would I want to come here????? HELL NO, NOT WITHOUT MASSIVE WEAPONS!!!

An example of the good works of those who have seen the Light of Christ:

I was an officer for over twenty years. I have also worked for Homeland stupidity tyranny! I am presently supervisor for security for over 3 years at a hospital ..I have worked many other jobs including steel worker and such. I am 49 years of age and have been black balled now from all good security or police…I am one of the good guys…I score High and pass the tests and they look at me and treat me like I am the enemy and like I am a terrorist!! I have been fighting tyranny and stupidity for many years now. In and out of court rooms ruled by evil monkey men. Getting my ass kicked! Just one example…I brought in and showed the dvd 911 in plane site to TSA fellow workers during break time. Soon after my supervisor and lead told me of policies I would obey that I knew did not exist…I asked politely and then I demanded copies of the policies they were saying we were all to obey….I was soon terminated for no rightous reason! ….I have a letter from one of the big shots stating what a great job I was doing and he was surprised I was terminated. I have many other letters of recommendations. I have saved officers lives during and from assault I used no weapon or other device. Just my skill and training and guts. The person was armed with a weapon and I did recieve some minor injury. I was back to work on Mondy happened on my friday. With bruises and stitches. Others take off months, stress leave what a bunch of whimps…Others even try to get early retirement… I stay in shape..I do not smoke, drink or use dope or other meds. I was also told I was one of the few that never flunked any of the stupid testing or training. I was not impressed with what was going on ….They have a bunch of kiss ass slaves and robots working for them and most are not qualified people… If they were ordered to strip search all passengers they would do it! Check this out they also told me if the women TSA staff did not come in that the Male tsa officers would search pat down female passengers> I worked at a small airport few tsa staff few flights…I refused and told them that I would not touch any women period… Government it is all a joke!!!! I hate Tyranny!!!! False peace!!!! War!!! Big brother —- sister Government!!!! I am no bodies slave or robot! I will never surrender or retreat!!! With all my experiences ….I have applied for hundreds of jobs even mcdonald’s and such.. They will not hire me! They say we will not work jobs and give them to others …More lies. Now days most jobs if you are a white english spreaking male and state that you love God and country…You get the shaft from the slaves that hate you! I do not place god in the closet and pretend to be a Chrisitan. I have seen women and minorities on ding meds, other dope and even steroids. They lie cheat and steal and they get the jobs and promotions! This is reality… not fantasy, fiction or a bad dream!

I like reading the responses to these kinds of articles and I agree with many of you on this issue. This is what brings us together, the internet. The media and government can’t do s--- to us here. I believe that once people come to their senses and decide to do something about this here is where the uprising will be. The elitists know it and are trying to take this away from us too. I’m sure most of you have heard about Net Neutrality. We need to do something about this, if anything. This is our last sanctuary.

Why; if congress is so concerned over the encroachment of executive power in our Republic did they “THE MEMBERS of CONGRESS” not act swiftly?
“THE GOAL WAS TO PROTECT “OUR NATION!”
The responsibility of declaring war is laid upon “CONGRESS” in the constitution where were the Members of Congress, why didn’t they act in a fashion of immediate response to an attack on “American Soil?”
Why was NewYork,City attacked, The Pentagon attacked and U.S. Airlines “HIGHFACKED” and no response from “Congress?”
Perhaps these factors are in play with regard to why President Bush took Immediate Action. YOU THINK!!!

I remember when 9/11 happened, one of GWB’s speeches said words to the effect of ‘They attacked us because the hate congress and they hate our freedom’ … and then he acts to specifically remove that freedom that supposedly caused 9/11 to happen to begin with.

There was a time in America when NO SINGLE ISSUE would have ever made any American think that they needed to give up their freedom to protect themselves. Like I said, the failure of the bailout is interesting but we must see what is coming first to determine if it is a victory or simply another form of manipulation.
Hey, I live in a Country that does not allow for self-defenmse or weapons ownership and I can STILL fight.
I fight by being disobidient and harder to control. I buy weapons anyways (limited types as I am in Canada – wish I had access to more proper home defense technology instead of my long-barrelled ‘bird gun’ – but it’ll work). My wife carries pepper spray for self-defense even though she literally faces jail time if she is caught with it in her possession. My property is private and un mortgaged and far away from established cities (at least 50 kilometers away – city folk are dependants on the system even if they do not fully understand it – a dependant can be easily manipulated)
Note that I am not advocating base illegal activity as a form of protest. Theft is still dishonourable as well as baseless killing of people.

Point to take note of – There is no connection between Jews and the illuminati specifically as part of the conspiracy. There may be jews involved, but that is conincidence only.
The jewish association with the illuminati conspiracy was added in during the late 19th centruy to promote anti-semitism in Europe at that time and was unfortunately believed by Hitler later who then proceeded to massacre Jews based on a false association. I think Hilter did have some idea of the true nature of the plot. I know from reading that Hilter was not a acceptable member of the illuminati nor did they see him as a proper agent, but they did manipulate him. Hitler’s treatment of the polish upper class (97% eliminated within the first few days of occupation) meant that he was on to something anyways.
Anyways, it is an illuminati plot we have to fight, not a jewish plot.
