Conyers Tries To Kill Impeachment Hearings Before They Start

John Conyers is now taking the position that no one at Friday’s impeachment hearing can accuse Bush or Cheney of any crime, or any impeachable offense, or dishonorable conduct, or even lying.
Moreover, Conyers is now saying that he will shut the hearing down if anyone does accuse the boys of crimes, impeachable offenses, or otherwise being naughty.
As David Swanson summarizes it:
"Apparently the rules of Congress are designed to allow impeachable offenses to be discussed only in impeachment hearings. Apparently this didn’t occur to Chairman Conyers when he decided to hold a non-impeachment impeachment hearing. As a result, his hearing may be quickly shut down, and he will have a choice of holding a real impeachment hearing, resigning, or dropping the pretense that he intends to resist Cheney and Bush in any way whatsoever."

I guess they realized the buzz around the hearing would create too much furor if war-crime evidence and other impeachable actions were brought to light.
The majority of the world who know the facts surrounding the illegal occupation of Iraq and war-crime torture going on don’t need a hearing in order to confidently call Bush, Cheney, et al, war-criminals and want to see them locked up in the Hague.
Anyone with half a brain can see they are guilty. Congress knows this and that is why they cannot proceed even with the dog and pony show non-impeachment hearing Friday.

I have the same question I have been asking since turncoat Pelosi gave her “impeachment is off the table” speech, since no one seems to ever answer me, at least that I have seen. That is, what extra power do these people (supposed leadeers) have when supposedly there is suppose to be equal opportunity inside of Congress meaning that each member has an equal vote, “nays”, as well as “yeas”? Just because Pelosi or Conyers or any other lead member says “no” or “yes” to something, that is where it ends? Then why have the other members of Congress at all? If anyone can answer how they get to override all other members and in addition why not one member of Congress, our hero Dr. Ron Paul included (regrettably), has ever mentioned that along with Alex Jones, I would appreciate being told that or what I am missing as far as the rules are concerned. Wolf Blitzer just asked Senator Brownback of Kansas if he knew that the Iraq war would cost 4000 plus American lives(so far), 700 billion dollars(so far) and that no WMD’s would be found, would he vote for the war again? He said YES! He quickly justified this by saying that America has not suffered an attack on it’s soil since then!?!?! America would better off if it was run by crackheads, no f’in joke. Conyers, Pelosi, and about 433 others are just as guilty of war crimes as Bush. It is no surprise that they aren’t going to hear the impeachment articles from Mr. Kucinich. Only Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul should be re-elected. Conyers deserves the rope, and so do 99% of Reps. and Senators. This is disgusting.

This is yet another shining example of how cowed and controlled congress is. I think Dennis Kucinnich should bring articles of impeachment against Conyers if he shuts down the impeachment hearing and charge him as an accomplice after the fact. Put all these dirty sons of bitches in jail and maybe we can get our government back into order if they are all scared of having their lives destroyed by criminal action taken against them for their actions. No one in our history has yet been held fully accountable for any of the atrocities they have brought about, and I think it is high time that they get theirs. Like Willie Nelson said, they would arrest him on the side of the road for smoking a joint, but these people can order mass murder and not even get a fine.
I will be watching C-Span tomorrow and see if they show the hearings. If Conyers shuts it down, I call on everyone to call his office and ask for his resignation, then call your congressmen and senators ask for action to be taken against John Conyers.

Having impeachment hearings without being allowed to discuss impeachable offenses such as crimes committed, violations of the Constitution, intentional lying to Congress, obstruction of justice, violation of Geneva treaties, is totally absurd.
This is as politically perverted as it gets and belongs in “classic catagory” all it’s own, along with other Roman mythology about a goat from heaven-Pan, having sex with with a young girl.
Conyers and Pelosi should be tarred and feathered. We live in an Oligarchy and Pelosi is the madam of that house and Conyers is nothing but a “yes boss” bell hop!!!

It has been stated that the definition of insanity is to continue to do the same thing that has not worked in the past, but to expect a different outcome anyway.
Therefore I say it is insanity to call congress and to ask or to demand anything from them.
That is why I posted the email address for the ICC in the Hague.
While some have been critical of the idea, no-one has offered a rational solution that avoids being classified as “insanity” by definition as stated above.

I recommend that you at least put forth that much effort instead of wasting time on politicians who NEVER in American history have gone to prison for their crimes. (With the exception of Dan Rostenkowski who vacationed at “club fed” for a short time.)
Politely write to the court and ask them why George W. Bush is not being prosecuted for warcrimes.
It’s gotta be more effective than doing nothing.
Don’t be misled by those who say you should blow stuff up or shoot things…those are the traps laid by people trying to neutralize you and relegate you to being nothing more than a number on a prison-jumper.

I feel sorry for Kucinnich, imagine how hard it must be to go against the grain like this. Lots of times you try to stand up for whats right and you get your butt kicked. I wish congress would help him out instead of stone walling him. Conyers is so pathetic!
