Plaudits for the relative restraint of Denver police during last week’s Democratic National Convention are not set to be repeated at the RNC, as cops signaled their intent by arresting an AP photographer as well as Democracy Now host Amy Goodman simply for documenting protests in downtown St. Paul.

Associated Press photographer Matt Rourke was arrested on a gross misdemeanor riot charge simply for taking pictures of a protest yesterday.

“Covering news is a constitutionally protected activity, and covering a riot is part of that coverage,” AP assistant chief of bureau in Washington David Ake said. “Photographers should not be detained for covering breaking news.”

Democracy Now host Amy Goodman was arrested after she complained about the assault and arrest of her colleagues, Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar.

According to Democracy Now, “All three were violently manhandled by law enforcement officers. Abdel Kouddous was slammed against a wall and the ground, leaving his arms scraped and bloodied. He sustained other injuries to his chest and back. Salazar’s violent arrest by baton-wielding officers, during which she was slammed to the ground while yelling, “I’m Press! Press!,” resulted in her nose bleeding, as well as causing facial pain. Goodman’s arm was violently yanked by police as she was arrested.”

“During the demonstration in which the Democracy Now! team was arrested, law enforcement officers used pepper spray, rubber bullets, concussion grenades and excessive force against protesters and journalists. Several dozen demonstrators were also arrested during this action, including a photographer for the Associated Press.”

All three were eventually released but face felony charges. Democracy Now has vowed to fight the false charges which they characterized as an intimidation of independent journalists.

Another AP photographer, Evan Vucci, was body slammed, kicked in the ribs and then handcuffed by police, only avoiding arrest by showing his press credentials.

“The police had pushed the protesters into a parking lot where they had police coming from all sides to encircle one area,” Vucci said. “Once they got all the protesters into this one parking lot they kind of rushed and arrested all the protesters in there,” said Vucci.

With 50,000 demonstrators expected to protest the RNC, more incidents of this kind can be expected.

On Friday, the Ramsey County Sheriff’s office, directed by federal authorities and armed with semi-automatic weapons, raided the headquarters of a protest group and detained and photographed 50 people. Six were arrested on charges of organizing a riot. None of the six have been convicted of a felony or crime of violence and all hold respectable positions within the community.

The raids were carried out after moles were planted in the group by the Minneapolis Joint Terrorist Task Force.

The raids were specifically “aided by informants planted in protest groups,” notes Salon writer Glenn Greenwald.

“Back in May, Marcy Wheeler presciently noted that the Minneapolis Joint Terrorist Task Force — an inter-agency group of federal, state and local law enforcement led by the FBI — was actively recruiting Minneapolis residents to serve as plants, to infiltrate “vegan groups” and other left-wing activist groups and report back to the Task Force about what they were doing. There seems to be little doubt that it was this domestic spying by the Federal Government that led to the excessive and truly despicable home assaults by the police yesterday,” writes Greenwald.

People in favor of abortion should be “roughed up” by police. Lefties leave the US.

    2. Don't be Disinfowars! Says:

      Stop calling Neocon provocateurs Anarchists!

It’s like calling the no-planes/energy weapons idiots ‘truthers’!

      Get your shit straight!

    3. Michael Says:

This aggressive activity is directed by federal authorities. That means it has the blessing of the Administration and the Republicans. Afterall, the Republicans have not spoken out against this police aggression.

Call and write to your Senator and Congressmen and let them know this is un-American. Freedom of the Press is very important.

I also find it interesting that the major news media is not covering this. Back in the Walter Cronkite days, the major press would have embarrassed the Republicans on this one.

It would also be a good idea to contact the Republican party and tell htem you consider this to be their policy.

    4. Angry White Bitch Says:

We are Fucked! The repugs will steal another election. McCain with his hair trigger temper will declare martial law on all those that do not follow his ideology. Good Bye Freedom…Hello fascism!

    5. ernest Says:

I wonder if the “liberal-gun-control” folks are now learning that in order to protect ones First Amendment rights , one retains Second Amendment rights. Get well , Amy and company ! GET JUSTICE !

    6. kegbot1 Says:

Rob: Nazis who don’t understand American freedoms should leave the US for some police state they’d be more comfortable. Go troll somewhere else fascist freak.

2: you’re right – they are provocateurs designed to give the police an excuse to crack heads.

ernest – this is one progressive who fervently believes in my second amendment rights for just the reasons you write about. And I have urged and urged people on the left to get over their fear of firearms and understand that that right to keep and bear arms is the final protection for all other rights.

    7. Hey Morons (StarvingForTruth) Says:

Chris Rider from Mayor Coleman’s office at 651-266-8535 and the Ramsey County Jail at 651-266-9350 (press extension 0).

pressure them for the release of all press, and all peaceful protesters. these are the numbers Democracy Now put on their website for people to call.

    8. Dustin M. Says:

I can see why Amy Goodman was detained, although unneeded she was being told by the officer to leave and she kept antagonizing him to talk. Of course he couldn’t he is doing his job and if there were to be an all out riot with him being distracted by her I can only see total chaos breaking loose.

She didn’t need to be arrested though, they could have just pulled her aside and told her to leave one more final time or she will be arrested. Didn’t even hear a warning from any of them as they took her.

    9. dave Says:

      Minnesota what happened to you?

You used to be such a peaceful area in America, why are you sitting there while police are lobbing tear gas, and spraying pepper spray on protesters?

You are aware that you are aloud to protest, it is your given right to express your distaste for your government right?

Where is the public outcry where is all the journalist taking down names and badge #’s (for those that even have a badge)?

People need to be aware that america isn’t free anymore to the general public, the rich don’t seem to be having any freedom issues, they get a pass on everything, but kids and middle class get the shit end of the stick, in one decade we have gone from too many freedoms to being bottle necked….NICE FAMILY VALUES THERE MCAIN AND OBAMA. Why don’t these candidates see what’s happening outside there convention, that would make a great photo op Mcain/Obama standing outside with police officers spraying protesters. I would love to see that on the front page of the New York times…… Common commandering chief lead your army to victory, that way we could see the scum we are dealing with…. These cops have got to realize there wrong. What happened to the moral aptitude test in this country?

How does one justify one’s actions anymore???

    10. Danny Says:

This is it guys NO 1st Amendment right anymore. And their is know one to blaim but our lazy selves “To Scared to fight back” This is nothing but another clear victory for the NWO. Untill America doesnt realize that their is still a 2nd Amendment…The NWO is going to keep laughing and useing us as training and punching bags. You want your Country Back Get Organized Form a Good Militia Bring your ARMS to the Protest in a Organized Manner and turn the Card table into an EVEN match. THATS OUR DUTY the Constitution SAID IT. SO DO IT!!! THEN and only then you will see the “CHANGE” that America needs. Im against violence but their will be a time where you got to put your fist and FIGHT to survive.

    11. djjstorm Says:

Hey I have an idea for all the peaceful protesters. Go out and purchase yourself a helmet! Go to the Army Navy stores, motorcycle helmets! or go get a good bike helmet! Its not against the law to wear a helmet! Protect yoursleves from these evil police!!!

    12. marlboro man Says:

Is it me or do these thug cops look like something out of Star Wars Movie ???? They look like there going into a NUKE ZONE or something .This is total martial law the way they are treating these people !! On CNN lat night they more less said they got what they desived saying they turned over cars broke windows and trashed some stores??? But no NO NO videos of this !!!!!!!!!

    13. G Says:

someone has to be telling them to do this..who is it?

    14. Kelley Says:

If you ask me Alex should have been at the RNC instead of the DNC. While the police state was present they were much more restrained at the DNC. He could have covered this massive resurgence of the police state at the RNC. PRE-EMPTIVE search and seizure in direct affront to the fourth amendment. The DNC was safe compared to the RNC.

As Michael says this is directed by federal authorities at the RNC since they are in power. Neocons called for violence at the DNC which never materialized. Tom Hartman had Democracy NOW!’s Amy Goodman on who was arrested as were many journalists. This tells you just what they don’t want, cameras and reporting.

And Michael, the press is owned by the administration now. The office of propaganda is firmly in control. Back when Walt was reporting the press was independent and now we see what happens with independent press like Amy Goodman.

    15. Rhonda Says:

Your Right of Defense Against Unlawful Arrest

“Citizens may resist unlawful arrest to the point of taking an arresting officer’s life if necessary.” Plummer v. State, 136 Ind. 306. This premise was upheld by the Supreme Court of the United States in the case: John Bad Elk v. U.S., 177 U.S. 529. The Court stated: “Where the officer is killed in the course of the disorder which naturally accompanies an attempted arrest that is resisted, the law looks with very different eyes upon the transaction, when the officer had the right to make the arrest, from what it does if the officer had no right. What may be murder in the first case might be nothing more than manslaughter in the other, or the facts might show that no offense had been committed.”

“An arrest made with a defective warrant, or one issued without affidavit, or one that fails to allege a crime is within jurisdiction, and one who is being arrested, may resist arrest and break away. lf the arresting officer is killed by one who is so resisting, the killing will be no more than an involuntary manslaughter.” Housh v. People, 75 111. 491; reaffirmed and quoted in State v. Leach, 7 Conn. 452; State v. Gleason, 32 Kan. 245; Ballard v. State, 43 Ohio 349; State v Rousseau, 241 P. 2d 447; State v. Spaulding, 34 Minn. 3621.

“When a person, being without fault, is in a place where he has a right to be, is violently assaulted, he may, without retreating, repel by force, and if, in the reasonable exercise of his right of self defense, his assailant is killed, he is justified.” Runyan v. State, 57 Ind. 80; Miller v. State, 74 Ind. 1.

“These principles apply as well to an officer attempting to make an arrest, who abuses his authority and transcends the bounds thereof by the use of unnecessary force and violence, as they do to a private individual who unlawfully uses such force and violence.” Jones v. State, 26 Tex. App. I; Beaverts v. State, 4 Tex. App. 1 75; Skidmore v. State, 43 Tex. 93, 903.

“An illegal arrest is an assault and battery. The person so attempted to be restrained of his liberty has the same right to use force in defending himself as he would in repelling any other assault and battery.” (State v. Robinson, 145 ME. 77, 72 ATL. 260).

“Each person has the right to resist an unlawful arrest. In such a case, the person attempting the arrest stands in the position of a wrongdoer and may be resisted by the use of force, as in self- defense.” (State v. Mobley, 240 N.C. 476, 83 S.E. 2d 100).

“One may come to the aid of another being unlawfully arrested, just as he may where one is being assaulted, molested, raped or kidnapped. Thus it is not an offense to liberate one from the unlawful custody of an officer, even though he may have submitted to such custody, without resistance.” (Adams v. State, 121 Ga. 16, 48 S.E. 910).

“Story affirmed the right of self-defense by persons held illegally. In his own writings, he had admitted that ‘a situation could arise in which the checks-and-balances principle ceased to work and the various branches of government concurred in a gross usurpation.’ There would be no usual remedy by changing the law or passing an amendment to the Constitution, should the oppressed party be a minority. Story concluded, ‘If there be any remedy at all … it is a remedy never provided for by human institutions.’ That was the ‘ultimate right of all human beings in extreme cases to resist oppression, and to apply force against ruinous injustice.’” (From Mutiny on the Amistad by Howard Jones, Oxford University Press, 1987, an account of the reading of the decision in the case by Justice Joseph Story of the Supreme Court.

As for grounds for arrest: “The carrying of arms in a quiet, peaceable, and orderly manner, concealed on or about the person, is not a breach of the peace. Nor does such an act of itself, lead to a breach of the peace.” (Wharton’s Criminal and Civil Procedure, 12th Ed., Vol.2: Judy v. Lashley, 5 W. Va. 628, 41 S.E. 197)

    16. Kelley Says:

      Rob,

You are no better than those that wish to thwart the rights of the people.

    17. joe Says:

If you read this, Paul, please remind Alex that his ranting, blustering ego will do harm to his own cause. I’m guessing that you already have. It’s a shame. Alex is very well read and can be eloquent, but he destroys his (and our) credibility by spitting venom. I’m angry too, but I don’t fall into the traps that Alex so easily does. I’m not angry at ‘ya!

And you could tone down your rhetoric as well. This is not the Sun (tabloid journalism)!

      Keep it cool!

    18. Rhonda Says:

Since so many people want to know what to do, when is the gunfighting going to start, or just claim what they would do if such and such a situation ever happened to them or one of their own, maybe all those capable should find out where Alex Jones, Ron Paul, Jessie Ventura, and many of the other patriots who Alex has interviewed are and follow them around all day long giving them body guard services.

Now, obviously the enemy will eventually start something that will start a shoot out, but the defense will obviously be a glorious one that will go down in history as the first shot of the real revolution, the day when the battle cry started from the masses, not just the few. The enemy of course has the high tech weapondry and the tanks and aircraft, but it will be an organized effort on the part of the ones who are serious and capable of doing something for the first time as the question constantly arises about everyone organizing somehow to do something useful for the cause of stopping this police state we are now in.

Ones like Alex, Dr. Paul, and Jessie Ventura are alone in a sense. They are lone wolves. They are loners. They are the ones who are presently out on the front line. So why not start an organized effort yourselves to be with those loners on the front line while you can? Go help those on the front line already, bodily help that is, not just writing here or buying some of their books. Physically they have no protection, even if they have private body guards. Those who are capable of doing what I just suggested now become publically involved and the front liners are the ones who need it most giving them the backing they need for their very lives that they do not have presently. I am sure that someone here can now expand on this to make it work. Yes?

    20. keldorn Says:

This story sounds like it would come from a Central American banana republic, and goes to show how bad things are getting in this country. Now maybe Amy Goodman, and the other left-gate keepers will start to shine the light on the police state.

    21. dave Says:

      #1 Rob-

      FEW Questions for ya ROB………..

How do you know those protesters were pro-abortion?
Why do you care so much about abortion, are you a women?
What if a family member was raped, would you still feel the same?
What if your daughter (let’s say she is 13yrs old) were to be pregnant, would you force her to keep it against her wishes?

See I hate abortion talks because I believe most of the people that have the strongest opinion on the subject are the same people that it doesn’t directly effect. Pastors, Priests, Rabbi’s, MEN, and women all a like preaching what’s best for them and not best for them and not the individual.

Look I’m happy that people are pro life. I respect the fact that they make sacrifices and appreciate the miracle of birth. With that said I believe it’s an INDIVIDUAL and FAMILY decision. Nobody and I mean Nobody has the right to question what another women does with her body. All these people standing outside abortion clinics should be ashamed of themselves, they don’t know what that women is going through nor what kinda of lifestyle she leads… Who knows if she is even fit to be a parent?
Who knows if she was abused?
Who knows anything other than she was seen leaving an abortion clinic?

I’m what you would call completely neutral when it comes to this subject. I’m a man and truly have never experienced child birth aside from having to go to the 7/11 for snacks (and that womens hormones are the most powerful for of expression known to man). Aside from that no clue.

So before you go crazy I hope you realize that the issue of abortion is in fact known as the political black whole of questions. It has NO right answer. Both sides have very good arguments however no one can answer that question without opposition. Not to mention with all else going on that question seems truly less important, than war issues, police issues and civil liberty questions…

Personally I think the family’s should be involved however the final decision should be up to the women (her body/ her choice), it would be her life effected not your own!!!

    22. Common People UK Says:

You have no democracy. If you do not make a stand now, you will have no freedom.

Escape From New York was on last night. I remember seeing that movie when I was a kid and thinking how creepy the police uniforms looked. It is hard to believe that it is now accepted as normal for us to have stormtroopers patrolling our streets. I bet a lot of these cops are just normal guys, but when they put on these uniforms, it’s like they have no soul anymore. This is the end of America.

    29. Liberation Frequency Says:

Frankly we have bigger issues to worry about than abortion. The government uses it as a tactic to divide its people. We can unite around other issues, like our crumbling economy, rising police state, and state controlled corporate media. Don’t let the government use relatively trivial issues like gay marriage and abortion to divide and conquer us!

Rob – you’re an asshole. It’s intolerant dickheads like you who should be leaving the land of the FREE.

Dave – I guarantee you that Rob is just another bitter old man who thinks he has a right to tell women how to live. No, Rob will never have to deal with abortion personally, but he feels he has a right to judge everyone else for the choices they make in life…not very Christian of him, is it?

Hey Rob – y’know what anti-abortion laws are? RELIGIOUS SEXISM posing as a moral high ground. It’s none of your damn business what women choose to do, where do you get off acting as if someone made you the fucking judge and jury?

Answer this, Rob – how do you feel about the wars in the middle east? How do you feel about war in general? I’m very curious to know how a PRO-LIFE advocate feels about the wholesale murder (murder=anti-life) taking place in your name….

To all, I say LOVE is the true power and that the OATH taken by so many is a pledge out of care for what is good and right in this land we call America!
I myself do not wish for a fight and that I have called, emailed, pleaded, challenged to all concerned of their Responsibility and DUTY to the Oath for which they have pledged, from Police, Politicians, Soldiers (I am a Armorer), friends, family and all that are in positions to make a positive effect. Still the ones that are in positions of power will not do THE RIGHT THING or even the job we elected them to, by protecting our sovereign rights as citizens of this land & by promise of their oath to office, leaving us citizens with the last resort to ever come closer.
I am just a man that loves his country and sadly I must now start preparing to defend this land I care so much about; not from some invading Foreign force but my very own ELECTED GOVERNMENT. This is a fight NONE of us should want but to all that have taken the Oath, REMEMBER this!!
Alot of good Men & Women have paid with their lives to keep this land free from the like’s of what we now face and remember that the Man or Woman standing next to you could very well hold true to the Oath that they have taken and so go ahead and commit acts of unconstitutional aggression against the citizens and you just might get a little surprise from the REAL MEN & WOMEN that serve our land and so to the one’s of honor, I SALUTE you and to the ones that dishonor their Oath, I pity you for when you hold your child, think about the world you are giving to that souls’ future and what you may soon be dying for, like I probably will, (at least my death will be with honor)!

My dad and mom grew up dirt poor. He worked his ass off…went to school as much as he could….became a crew chief/ head q.c. inspector, at nasa, during the moon launch years. He served in the navy as a b-17 radio operator, during ww2. He had a total heart failure on 9/11, as he watched the towers fall…on fox news. He died on my couch from the lingering effects of his heart injuries….etc. He believed until the end, that our government was above reproach. Regardless of the information I showed him, in the two years prior to his passing, as telling as the tears he hid, as he looked…his disbelief showed on his face. He couldnt say that his life had been a sham. That he had been duped, and we really are in the end times type world. When I arm myself, and kill anyone intending to take my freedom, I am doing it for not just myself, but for my dad…..His generation would have wanted us to fight like never before, for FREEDOM! FUCK YES! Gird yer loins boys….

    36. THE LOWERY Says:

Arm yourselves with stun guns, bear spray, video cameras, riot gear, and metal batons…enough said :)

    37. dave Says:

      Rob

I’m sure you and other members of your church feel the exact same way you do. Why are you so worried about women outside your religious beliefs are doing. This is my argument; not whether to kill baby’s or not. I say people within religious morals have a set goal, they value life…..Great. As a matter of fact my wife believes that and promotes it being the good Catholic women she is, however she realizes we can only project our views, we shouldn’t force them on others.

So like I said what do you care what some godless (or should I say lesser moral) women is doing with her body?
Why aren’t you mad about the other crazy things women do like paint there faces up and dressing like dolls, starving themselves, tattooing, piercings all over there bodys, breast enlargements
Where is the outrage for that?

I guess those things are less important in the eyes of the lord, but think about it, you could preach your theories onto others however you can’t force them, nor can you kill them. Then what would make you any different then the baby killer?

    38. Feh Says:

Abortion arguments? Here? Seriously? No wonder nothing ever changes. You’ve been duped into thinking that what happens in private is any of your concern. It isn’t. Really. Thousands of people, children included, die every day without having any impact on your life, and I know for certain you could care less. Stop lying to yourselves, and stop getting worked up over issues that have nothing to do with you. If you are not a possibly pregnant woman, or the man who put her in that situation, then her choice has NOTHING to do with you.

Republicans will NEVER let abortion be outlawed, they need it as an issue to get a bunch of Nosy Nellies worked up and voting for them. If they REALLY wanted it to be outlawed, don’t you think they would have done it at sometime when they had complete control? If you think otherwise, you’re a chump.

    39. Jack Lani Says:

This is a good reason for people to boycott visiting Minnesota or spending a cent on any of its products sold. It’s obviously a repressive police state and does not deserve our tourism dollars spent there nor our buying any products produced there. We’re not approaching fascism when elderly, gentle ladies and other journalists are abused without cause, we’ve already arrived and are in fascism. No surprise though. Bush is changing America into a fascist state and we all remember what he said about The Constitution of the United States of America. Seeing our hyped freedoms destroyed on video distributed world wide leaves us even more of the global laughing stock we’ve become. The sound you hear in the background are the millions of patriots spinning in their graves who died to create and protect America’s constitutional rights, not have them eradicated by — political backed thugs.

#38, #39 & others: What you seem to be forgetting on the topic of abortion is that it is not JUST about what a woman decides to do in her private life – it also concerns the LIFE OF HER UNBORN BABY that is shamefully and disgustingly ripped from her womb that concerns people of faith. Your right, what some person decides to do in their own personal life that doesn’t affect anyone else should be nobody else’s business – but in the case of abortion, it is affecting another person’s life – THE BABIES!!! Who is supposed to stand up and speak for the millions and millions of babies being MURDERED every day, if not people that profess to believe in God? And don’t give me the crap that it’s not a human life until it’s born. That is just a lame excuse for committing murder. If life does not begin at conception, then when does it?? At what precise moment do you consider it a human life – I really want you to explain that to me. Many woman have had premature babies as early as six months and they have survived. Why don’t you go to Devvy Kid’s website and look and at the grotesque pictures and decriptions of partial birth abortions and then come back here and tell me that it is not MURDER. And your damn straight that as long as people continue to commit MURDER that is sanctioned by the state – there will always be people who believe in and fear God that are going to stand up and try to put a stop to it!!

I did see protesters fighting the police, aggrivating situations, and break into store windows-that’s not right either; and, those who went beyond free speech into violence should be arrested and prosecuted.

Good thing we don’t live in a “Democracy” because only a “Constitutional Republic” demands that you get a fair jury trial, and not the Mob Rule form of government that your “Democracy” would otherwise regard as law, you know, 2 wolves and a sheep deciding what to have for dinner.

    59. American Muslim in Egypt Says:

Your only as free as the attorney you can afford when your rights are abused.

Here is some info on Amy Goodman. She is jewish and awesome, so stop saying all jews are bad people. Its like saying all muslims are terrorists, and we are not. Fight for peace and justice with all those that are good, and leave the rest behind.

“Goodman describes herself as a secular Jew, a Jewish American, and the granddaughter of an Orthodox rabbi. She has relatives who died in the Holocaust and spent part of her youth in Israel.[1][2]
Whether or not she is actively religious depends on how you define “religious.” Many Jews (including me) believe that following the Jewish religion means that you must fight for social justice.
But even if she isn’t religous, she is still a secular Jew, and that is significant, because secular, progressive Jews also fight for social justice.
Her commitment to social justice affects the subjects of her reporting — for example, in her coverage of Israel, and her interviews with progressive Jewish political activists like Michael Lerner, and her challenges to the Jewish establishment. It also affects the style of her reporting.
Goodman is an example of a prominent Jew who does not support the pro-settlement Israeli position. Many progressive Jews admire her, and conversely many right-wing Jews despise her, for that reason.
Because of her commitment to social justice, she challenges the claims of the corporate and political establishment, and defends the oppressed — as in her coverage of New Orleans.
Many people whose relatives died in the Holocaust draw the lesson that they should fight to prevent anyone, Jewish or non-Jewish, from dying like that again.
Her news coverage regularly emphasizes international law and the U.S. Constitution. This reasonably reflects Jewish teaching of respect for law.”

Since you said you were a Catholic I just want to let you know that the Novus Ordo “mass” is a invalid mass for several reasons but mainly because the words of consecration that Pope St Pius V declared valid forever aren’t being used. The Novus ordo “mass” is actually the abomination of desolation that Our Lord warned about. The Vatican II “popes” are actually non-Catholic Antipopes (John XXIII-Benedict XVI).

Do you know about the prophecy of Our Lady of La Sallette: …Rome will lose the faith and become the seat of the Antichrist the Church will be in eclipse. September 19, 1846.

Not a Catholic, wife is and I respect her religion just as I respect all religion (which is probably why I haven’t chose one yet) sorry to disappoint you Rob, but your talking about Catholics and my experience is that 90% of Catholics would never even consider abortion (at least the ones I’ve come in contact with), so what if there are others that don’t feel the same way. Shouldn’t bother you at all!

    72. Merlin Says:

This is the result of all the news media, not standing together from the beginning. The New World order police state, will not distinguish between main stream or alternative news. The just don’t want anyone shinning a light on there misdeeds. The danger in police abusing everyday citizens is that everday citizens will start to see the police as the enemy and their job will become very, very dangerous, plus juries will start to acquit suspects. The police need the support of John Q. Public or their finished.

We know the real truth behind what is happening the desecration and desolation of the temple occurred with Vatican II, the time is nigh. Hold fast to your soul and keep the traditions of the Church. Unlike the protesters…I meant protestants, the Temple IS the Catholic Church as there is no Jewish Temple to be desecrated or desolated. Therefore let our Lord come.

hmmm, that’s funny, in Revelations it hints at the Catholic church as being “the harlot” riding on the beast. You need to READ the bible yourself, not just take some other sinner’s (Pope) word for it, as they have a political and FINANCIAL agenda. You might realize you have a lot in common with Saint Paul when he was known as Saul of Tarsus.

    78. plebisite Says:

That cop was probably Bill O s gay lover for the night of the convention.
What a bunch of fascist pigs.

    79. Seijeff Says:

      OnyoursideBob,

The Temple is the Catholic Church? Pardon me for asking, but where in the Bible does it declare that Mary has any right to be worshipped or that we have any obligation to have deference towards any so-called saints but Christ Himself? The Catholic Church has fallen off the map of all sanity when it comes to rightly interpreting the Bible. The Pope and the man-made traditions that make up what it is to be Catholic are no less pagan than the rituals and rules that Jesus condemned the Pharisees for.

Mary and the Pope did not die for your sins, therefore Mary is not the mother of God, but simply the vessel God the Father chose to bring the Son’s physical body into the world. Since it was the Holy Spirit that did the work of creating Jesus’ body in the womb of Mary then it cannot be said that she is the mother of God, as she had no real part in causing the birth. Confession to a preist is absolutely unscriptural as Paul said we are to come boldly into the throne room of God and proclaim our needs. If we needed an intercessor between us and God, why was the curtain that separated the Holies of Holies from the rest of the Temple torn in two when Christ died for our sins? It is because at that moment we were enabled to have a relationship directly with God because Christ wiped the sins out. Paul also preached that for those who are Christians there is no condemnation, and nothing that can separate us from the Love of Christ. Why then does the Catholic Church make it seem that there is a wall in place between God and man in the form of obligations, rules, traditions and regulations when according to the Word of God all we need is faith in Christ?

Jeff is right, the Catholic Church and the Pope is a part of this Satanic system that is driving the world away from God. The Pope continually calls for ecumenism, which negates Christ’s sacrifice and all traditional Christian theology. All you’re left with is the Harlot of Revelation that has sold herself and brings all her followers down to the pit. Paganism is weaved in every facet of the Catholic Church, from the phalic monolith in St. Peter’s squre to the broken cross on the Pope’s staff, to the Zoroastrian symbolism in the Pope’s wardrobe during state visits. Anyone who knows anything about the occult would be able to expose all the crap that the Catholic Church has claimed to be “Christian.”

Revelation talks about a Temple in Jerusalem during the last days. It will happen and it will be hailed by the Catholic Church as the Masonic Christ calls himself God and throws the world into the last Judgement known as the Day of the Lord. The Church may want you to think all that is in Revelation happened millenia ago, but really they can only do that by totally distorting the meaning and destroying the book completely. Read it without a Catholic interpretation commentary and you’ll see the truth. The Bible was written to be read plainly.

Wow. A Jew who’s an American Muslim living in Egypt. Sweet. A member of a rare breed indeed. It sounds like you’ve bought into the illusion of who Amy Goodman pretends to be. Answer this for me, where was she after 9-11 happened? She was no where to be found or heard. She was complicit with the 9-11 commission report and never questioned the mis and disinformation that was scattered all throughout that report. Sure doesn’t sound like an agent for social justice to me. Maybe if you saw what corporations and foundations finacially supported her and “Democracy Now” you would have a better understanding of where her true allegiance lies.
