A large number of police officers in riot gear made dozens of arrests as they broke up the Occupy Denver protest in a park outside the Capitol building in downtown Denver Friday morning.
Denver police spokesman Sonny Jackson says at least 24 people were arrested. The Colorado State Patrol says many face charges related to criminal misconduct.
There were a few brief moments of pushing and shoving between protesters and police, but things remained relatively calm and there were no injuries.
