Cops Tase Barely Conscious Boy With Broken Back 19 Times For Non-Compliance

Police: Taser use is “not one of the unanswered questions” surrounding the case

You couldn’t make it up if you tried. Police in Ozark, Missouri repeatedly tased a critically injured sixteen year old boy after he “refused to comply with the officers”.
The cops were called to investigate reports of a boy walking along a busy overpass, but when they got there they found young Mace Hutchinson had fallen 30 ft to the ground below, breaking his back and and foot in the process.
When he did not co-operate with the cops they pulled out their stun guns and fired them into his body, shocking him up to nineteen times with 50,000 volts.
According to the boy’s father, the actions of the police caused an elevated white blood cell count leading Mace to develop a fever that delayed vital surgery by two days.
Ozark Police Capt. Thomas Rousset tried to condone the use of the taser in comments to the media:
“He refused to comply with the officers and so the officers had to deploy their Tasers in order to subdue him. He is making incoherent statements; he’s also making statements such as, ‘Shoot cops, kill cops,’ things like that. So there was cause for concern to the officers.”

The idea that a boy with a broken back would need to be “subdued” by a team of cops is not patently ludicrous but also smacks of a desperate attempt to cover up the true events in this case.
This is a perfect example of how it has become the norm for cops to react with extreme physical force towards anyone who acts out of the ordinary in any way whatsoever.
We have previously carried reports of police tasing an already restrained disabled man, a 6-year-old boy who was wielding a piece of glass and a woman having diabetic seizure to name but a few, but this case trumps them all.
This behaviour is not limited to cops in the U.S. either, last November a man who slipped into a diabetic coma on the top deck of a bus in Leeds, England described how he was used for electric stun gun “target practice” after he “failed to respond to instructions” and police “mistook him for a suicide bomber”.
Tasers are supposed to be the last response before lethal action, yet police now use the taser as if it is a pair of handcuffs or pepper spray. The latest figures show that over 300 people died in one year in admitted cases in the US alone from being tased.
Prominent heart doctors have declared that there is no doubt that Tasers can cause heart problems and even induce sudden and lethal cardiac arrest.

The UN’s Committee Against Torture issued a statement on the TaserX26, in November of last year which read: “The use of TaserX26 weapons, provoking extreme pain, constituted a form of torture, and that in certain cases it could also cause death, as shown by several reliable studies and by certain cases that had happened after practical use.”
Despite these facts, we see stories every week of old women, children and disabled people being shot with tasers. The weapons are even being used in schools.
The police are now trained that “pain compliance,” a euphemism for torture, is acceptable in apprehending anyone even if that person poses no physical danger.
The heart of the issue is that this was another act of wanton police brutality and torture by means of tasing.

They recently killed a Winnipeg teen (Michael Langan 17) who they say was wielding a knife here in Canada too. The paper had an article saying they were safe just the other day.

The use of tasers will not be stopped until some beloved celebrity or public figure or relative of the other two categories is tasered to death by cops. Suppose if former Johnny Carson sidekick Ed McMahon is evicted from his mansion for foreclosure by L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies, resists, and is tasered to death. Something like that might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.

While in college, I worked for two years in a cadet type postion for a big city police department. After several incidents of sexual harrassment among other things, I decided against any job in law enforcement or criminal justice. I can tell you, I know very well the mindset of these ‘bad cops’. In two full years at the department, I can honestly say there was only one officer, a lieutenant, that I would consider a good person. I have seen several of my fellow cadets go through the academy, be brain washed, and completely change for the worst. My own brother, who works for this department, has expressed extreme contempt for my (at the time) infant daughter and two year old daughter. Myself, my husband, nor either of mychildren have not seen or spoken to him in five plus years. I have no intention of letting this evil bastard cop near us, but my have to see him at a funeral. As a mom, if one of these pencil dick cops did to one of my children what they did to this young man, I would hunt them down and expedite (very painfully)their journey to there leader, satan. We all need to stand up against these evil ones, because they are only growing in numbers. We need to let them know that they can’t do what ever they want and we will stand up and fight back!

I really think the cops tased him while he was STILL on the bridge, I the fall & broken back are a result of that, now the cops are just trying to white wash the truth. Yea they better hope that boy doesnt gain consciousness cause I think he has a lot to say if he does. I think the cops pushed him on accident while they were tazing him. Even if the boy was confused and saying things that may have seemed aggressive, it sounds to me it was evident he was having some psychological problems, also some brain disorders cause people to talk strange stuff, some types of seizures (temperal lobe seizures) cause very strange behavior and people may not even know the person is having a seizure because they can walk and talk. They also said he had no drugs or alcohol in his blood. He wasnt armed, and whitness say he appeared confused, so what the hell man, this is how you treat sick people, and it doesnt matter if its physical or mental, sick is sick.
I wish I could call but I cant I live in Egypt and my connections are horrible so I’ll write a letter, and thanks to the guy who left the address. Of course the story being reported is a lie. Of course they tasered that kid and he fell, or they threw him off the bridge, then tasered him for a cover up. The only thing missing? They forgot to sprinkle some crack on him.
But the official story will not be overturned in the courts. Sorry for the info y’all, but cops lie under oath EVERYDAY across this country. And get away with it EVERYDAY becase their police buddies will back them up. I am from Missouri. This story was not run by the St. Louis media, although the story of Megan Meier has been beat into the ground. The reason? To pass the telecom immunity law and other laws to make America a police state, and they have succeeded. Megan Meier was probably murdered by somebody who raped her, and it is unlikely that she committed suicide because of a prank email, but now anybody who sends a prank email is subject to prosecution, while the police are of course immune from the law. The boy’s father should sue under Uinted States Code 42-1983.

What should uspet you even more is when you realize that in this country we have the freedom of speech. Even if the kid was saying “Kill cops” as he lay there twitching while the police electrocuted him 19 times, he has that right to do so. With a broken back, barely conscious, under no chemical influence, with no weapons, they were under no illusions about his ability to injure them. Regardless of what he said, it is ACTION that constitutes a threat, not merely vocalization of dissatisfaction with your current predicament, and to punish someone for being upset with you in the middle of electrocuting him 19 times, well, that seems a bit excessive.
But they’ll walk. The cops in LA were caught, on video tape, beating Rodney King like a rented mule, and yet they walked in the original criminal trial.

This is about as bad as what happened in Sandy Oregon when Police Officer Mike Bergin shot and killed an unarmed man named Faoud Kaddy.
Faoud Kaddy was in a vehicle accident and suffered sever burns over his entire body. Police responded to calls of a naked man walking down the road and later found him.
Police ordered Kaady to lay down prone on the street pavement. Kaady to not comply so a taser was deployed. Kaady started flailing about and the officers shot Kaady dead with a gun.
Since that time, one of those police officers, Mike Bergin, has been arrested for DUI and is STILL on the force in Sandy Oregon.

I have a friend who lives in Sandy Oregon and he started the Neighborhood Watch there. He quit the watch since the police never did anything.
He recently called me and informed me that one of his friends was badly beaten by Officer Bergin at a local festival and received false charges.
Officer Bergin has killed one injured UNARMED man. Officer Bergin has been arrested for DUI. Officer Bergin has badly beaten a man at a festival and levied false charges against him.
How long before there is another tragic incident with this officer before people wake up there?

But, oh no, the Gestapo “have to” taser a defenseless boy NINETEEN times!! And they wonder why more and more people are getting more and more angry against, and less and less trusting of, cops. See the example we’ve set as a country? Both of your comments, #’s 29/51 make sense. If the boy was suppose be on the bridge when the police were called (for whatever reason that he was doing something that made that person call), and when they arrived and found him laying on the ground obviously hurt 30 feet down, standard procedure would be to call for an ambulance. It does therefore seem that there was an altercation of some sort on the bridge itself between the two parties with the boys in blue using their tasers that made the youth fall off the bridge.
Therefore maybe under our new World Order, this should be taken before an internaitonal court. Obviously it is not a civil matter and since those who carry the tasers are instructed by those who are world controlling, the world needs to take part in this on a criminal level thereby bringing justice to prevail.

The Capt. full statement and this blurp shows that he was doing the “Aw shucks” type of explanation and hoping that people fall for it. We are seeing this happen more and more. People in the US used to cheer and clap praise that it was being done to “those” people in the US and in other countries and not “good” christian people that look a certain way. When you practice and absolve torture, don’t be surprised that it will be used against you in the future. We as a nation has always asked and wondered and scoffed at how Germans where able to let Fascism creep into their country. I have been witnessing and observing the gradual movement of the US into fascism and it scares me, scares me to the core. Because I think the opposition in germany was pushed back by intimidation and outright killing by use of the govt. machine or thugs and people wanted to just go along to get along “it won’t happen to me”. When you let something that is wrong go for to long, it makes a bigger mess to cleanup and to pickup.
Now you see German thugs today trying to resurrect nationalism (code word for another form of nazism) in that country. I have heard some say that old line from the supremacists that “grandpa was right”, here’s one WAS GRANDMA RIGHT. To put this in perspective, when the Russians counterattacked and occupied east Germany, almost every german woman was raped by Russian soldiers (German soldiers where doing atrocities so they decided to do atrocities) repeatedly. So for their push into fascism, all it brought to them right after the war was millions dead, there men and women hiding out in fear and their women being traumitized. Because when you put out death and destruction and atrocities to others don’t be surprised that they don’t put it back on you.
And I am afraid that one day if we don’t take care of this Police state/fascist reconstruct, we might see the world come together and take us on. And if that happens, we will be a broke up continent with a govt. that is by the World for the World and we will be a protectorate broken up into regions and no power. Except the power to apologize for what our govt. did and we not doing anything to stop it. Nothing last forever people, nothing. And by knowing this you adjust your behavior so when said countries sun doesn’t shine as brightly over them anymore (Rome, other empires etc.), you will still be respected and left alone as a fellow world country. And not some target for revenge.

I remember watching Cool Hand Luke and Easy Rider way back when I was a kid and starting to hate southern rednecks and how I’d like to go down there and find and shoot some of the worst of them, the kind that would kill someone for being a long haired hippy as in the end of Easy Rider or subject someone to torture as in CH Luke, especially with the history of all the racist jerks down there. Now as I watch the news in recent years like these reports and those of pigs gone berserk with both guns and tasers acting like such belligerent Nazi dirtbags and I want to do something to get back at some of these pigs. These uncivilized and brutal encounters with the cops are on the rise. I was rear ended a few weeks ago. The officer treated ME like the criminal. No offer of ambulance, no nothing. When I asked him if the driver who hit me had insurance, he threatened to arrest me for insurance fraud! My car being worth 5X what the idiot who hit me was driving. IN A REAR END COLLISION!
I’ve seen enough. I want nothing to do with cops. Fuck them. They’re brutal, dumb, angry, uncouth rage bullshit will come back to haunt them.
Of course, there are many fine officers, but a few bad apples spoil the entire grove.

Why would anyone say “shoot cops”? Why? I don’t get it. They obviously had to tase him 19 times to “keep him out of traffic” and “keep him from getting hurt” lying there with a broken back and all.
I remember watching the movie Fargo. When that guy offered the cop a $50 bill and the cop refused it, I remember being very upset when the the mad killer pulled out his gun and offed the cop. I thought, my god, the last honest cop in the country, and that guy had to kill him.

Results kid’s life most sacrificed by an over-aggressive tormentor, for all knowing informed or involved with the earlier mob beating. The boy fined beyond well beyond furher reistry of any vehicle for a time, four fold insurance rates. Depressed income ability, the youngster was stunted further, thwarted, pushed into speeding out of his care for the safety of his passenger,and self-lives,since no beacon lite was shown, still persued at high speeds at ending of straight away on a large backwards “R” until stopping on the 4 lane after the straight downward some 100 mph) backwards “R” the same young man, six years earlier…
Was hit and run over by a off-duty(suspiciously ne’er contacted)fireman, flown backwards landing on pavement! and knocked unconscious the 10 year old. Picked him up off the icy road, laid on a wood bench a laundromat, coming to finally, fearful (10 yrs) seeing uniformed man asked okay? Yes. Never any ambulance called nor medical eye examination, sent the boy off with whom-ever, and going where-ever, thank God sent home w/full belly,pizza expelled later resulting in common sense to Hospital Emergency found and kept for weeks w massive fractures of skull!
This same self-same young fellow tormented and preyed upon life-long by the family of origin(or various of therein extended not left out) tale bearing, defacing damaging property to intervening and or attempting redirect the by now man’s life in secret even to his friends such that another, and ego-maniac brother of three, akin to these here above, might turn and begin also in hateing the man, to continue to destroy him…Notice: it’s always about the man, this former youngster commonly aforetime scapegoat permanence. The over use of tasers is becoming a problem. I police are redefining resisting arrest. Apparently all you have to do is lay on the ground unresponsive and that is enough to “threaten thier existance” to have this particular person got to feel the taser. Which the tasors that shoot definatly should be a last ditch effort before using guns. But this doesn’t look like a last ditch effort. It looks like the only thing that was done is this guy was wronged by our system and it looks like they will probably still try to make him look like the bad guy in the whole situation.

A poster asked what we can do personally. I won’t name the town but its one most Americans would recognize, as its a popular southern tourist destination. I lived there for a few years when hell was in session in that village of 25,000. The corrupt mayor had imported a racist redneck buddy and put him in as police chief. This toad hired psychos with known violent tendencies as police officers. The same stuff was going on there 15 years ago. Kids on skateboards being knocked down and beaten, grandmas being harrassed, having their cars impounded, (stolen).
Patrons of night spots being beaten bloody in the street. Even the local newspaper editor was locked up on false charges because he was brave enough to print the truth. So, the good
folks of the town became more furious each day until the worst of the mess happened. The
two kids of a fine young couple were CPS-ed because of false charges by police. They tried to lock up the parents for child abuse, but the community had plenty enough sh*t by then.
People beseiged the courthouse, demanding release of the parents. Police cars began to be
vandalized and officers were harrassed with threatening calls. Banners appeared on the street
with pictures of the corrupt mayor, states attorney and police chief with the heading KIDNAPPER!
People donated over $100,000 to have the couple’s children transferred to NC to be safe with their grandparents. THEN the FULL COURT PRESS began. The ACLU was enlisted and brought suit against the town, the police department, CPS and each individual officer involved. I personally wrote articles in the paper warning cops that the new “Citizen’s Patrol” armed with small video cameras would be watching their every move, (this didn’t exist yet at the time, but terrified the authorities). It was a small town so citizens, (white cars with 4 large men inside) started to park outside the mayor’s house, the police chief’s apartment and officers’ houses day and night.
The cops made feeble attempts to fight back with tactics such as taking all the newspapers and throwing them into the dumpster behind the courthouse, but even that backfired because I saw them and got the papers out and delivered them myself. Then I wrote an article for the paper telling exactly what I saw with a pic of the dumpster. It culminated with almost 1,000 people thronging the courthouse on the day of the couple’s trial. They were acquitted hands down, and the next day the mayor, state’s attorney, police chief, city officials and 11 lawyers and judges left town. The headline in the local paper that day had been “MOST HATED MEN IN TOWN”. The headline the day after the thugs left was “BYE,BYE BABY SNATCHERS!” So the town was rid of
cockroaches, and next election the people voted EVERYONE that was left out of office.
This wasn’t a hollywood movie. It really happened. I was there and damn glad of it! People

Those Ozark police are a threat to their community. They need to be incarcerated as soon as possible. If they actually fired the taser 19 times, then there are no extenuating circumstances that could justify what they did.
I hope the family will go outside of that county to get an attorney to file charges of felonious assault at the officers in question. The MO state prosecuting attorney should be conducting an investigation as well.
A revolver is not as dangerous as a taser, because the user of a revolver knows its lethal force and is not as apt to use it unless absolutely necessary.
The abhorrent behavior of police everywhere is causing anarchy. Legislative authority is needed to bring this abnormal police mentality to a halt, before the public decides to bring it to a messy end.

A 16-year old boy with a broken back “did not comply” with the demands of the officers? And so, he was tasered 19 times. Having heard the “explanation” of the police chief, all officers involved in the incident *and* the police chief should be charged, tried, convicted and sent to prison for a very very long time. The police chief’s blatant attempt to cover-up, or to lessen the horror of the actions involving those officers, makes him every bit as guilty. If the local DA fails to prosecute, then the local DA should go to jail as well. There is no excuse for this over-the-top kind of brutality.

While I am a Christian too and look forward to the time of Christ’s return – which in my opinion is very close because of all the things happening in the news which fulfill prophecy daily – I don’t think your method or the timing of your efforts are effective. It seems to me that you are simply making people mad by your comments which seem to not have any direct tie to the story your commenting on.

I think the time has come for the citizens to take their government back, if that means following corrupted government employees home and giving them old western style justice. It would scare the government if a group of people in every location in every state formed quick response teams when these events happened and then gave the corrupt government officials a chance to turn themselves in for crimes against the civil rights of the citizens. If the government officials refuse to turn themselves in to be prosecuted, then I say the group of citizens should have permission to use any and all means to kill the government officials involved. Then and only then will the government understand that the United States is a Constitutional Republic where nobody is above the law.

I live around the area where this happened and it scares me. For some reason I got an itch to say something, just say something. So I went to the Ozark, MO website to look for some one to email. I only found one address so I used it. Now I may have been wrong in sending it to him, there may have been a more appropriate place to send it, but he could’ve been a little more polite. We need to see the cop car videos all of them, and if there gone then every cop that was there on the scene needs to be fired bottom line. What would the reaction be on the part of the “law enforcement” officers be if civilians started carrying tasers, and using them on cops first? Assaulting an officer.
It’s like the oil prices. Price of a barrel of crude goes up, we see it reflected at the pump the next day. If the price drops, well, we may see it at the pumps in a couple of weeks if the price keeps dropping. When police taser YOU, it’s for their protection. If you taser police, it’s a federal crime. The fact that neither of the equations behave the same way when the variables are changed in favor of the People points to the fact that the system is actively working AGANIST the People.

It is like many of the brave men I encounter on each day. They like the weaker more defensless type of prey because they have less chance of getting hurt themselves. Myself I could never search for someones weakess like a physical handicap or a broken spirit or feeble mind and then exploit it. The problem with many of these brave men is that they would not treat the big strong man the same way they would treat the weaker ones in society. I encourage all of those who are just looking for someone who they think they can beat up to look for the biggest strongest guys instead and try and fight them. Maybe do like alex said and go to some real fight schools and fight with those guys. Or maybe you can go enlist in the military and serve a couple of tours in iraq. When I was arrested some years ago I know the pigs threaten me with excessive force. The words he said were “If I would have had to chase you (on foot) I would have put you in the hospital.” I replied if you had, you would have been there with me. My first words were F U, I didn’t do a damn thing to deserve this treatment. I wish he would have took it to the next level I would have made them pay for what they had done and for what they will do. Don’t ever take the shit from pigs, we used to have an asshole cop who thought he was all high and mighty until l took him down a few notches. This dipstick of a man was only 5′5″ and I am 6′1″ now when I called to make a report he shows up. I get all up in his face and tear him down like an animal running wild cause he was, I was giving him a piece of my mind for about 15 minutes and he didn’t say a word. It felt real good to show a man if thats how he wants to treat people that is what he will get back.

The last time I was arrested, it was because someone said I broke down his front door. At 6′ tall and 155 pounds, I can’t break a solid-cored door. The charges were dropped.
When I was arrested, later that day, the police officer drew her pistol and aimed it at the back of my head and put it away only when I was cuffed and begging her not to shoot me.
In court, she identified me at my arraignment. I walked to the elevator, and the cop wouldn’t share an elevator ride with me. Instead, she ran down six flights of stairs. I sure must have looked scary in a suit and tie. We arrived in the lobby at the same time, and she ran into another room. They’re really brave when they have guns aimed at an unarmed, handcuffed suspect. She was pretty. My prosecutor was pretty. My prosecutor was in fact the most attractive woman of any race I’ve ever met.
I am a convicted federal felon on the Terrorist Watch List. This means when the cops want to talk with me, they bring eight guys in six cars. They’re very nice now, but they do not bring female cops.

I recall watching Cool Hand Luke and Easy Rider way back when I was a kid and starting to hate southern rednecks and how I’d like to go down there and find and shoot some of the worst of them, the kind that would kill someone for being a long haired hippy as in the end of Easy Rider or subject someone to torture as the jail guard pigs in CH Luke, especially with the history of all the racist muthers down there. Now as I watch the news in recent years like these reports and those of pigs gone berserk with both guns and tasers acting like such belligerent Nazi dirtbags and I want to do something to get back at some of these pigs. Even if I can’t get the exact same ones who actually commit the worst deeds, just to sniper at a couple as they run their Nazi random checkpoints which are unlawful enough, or place a bomb where a group of them will be gathered-Iraqi insurgent roadside bomb style! Then I’ll call from a pay phone to let y’all know why you got hit.
Don’t want that to happen piggies? –then you best be having some serious talks amongst yourselves about knocking off the Nazi fascist police state garbage and get back to being peace officers and following your oaths to the Constitution! You are public SERVANTS- you got that– SERVANTS!? It seems you need to be seriously reminded of that fact, and in BIG TIME bloodbath fashion.

If there is a any lawyer out there who has the awareness, decency and courage to take up this boys cross for the sake of justice please contact his parents and defend their cause. What’s happening to the innocent people on the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan is slowly happening on the streets of America. We are fast becoming a nation of tyrants! We need people to stand up to tyranny case by case. If this where an African American teenager I believe that there would be an outrageous demand for justice broadcast across all media venues and rightly so. We must take action no matter what the ethnicity or politic deJour. I am so glad that many of us are making phone calls expressing outrage. I pray that this family will get tremendous support for they are going to suffer from this tragedy for the rest of their lives.

No maxx fennig. Frodo went back with the others and he made a point of not “opened up a good old fashioned can of whupass”. Frodo went out of his way to avoid using force and violence. He said not to kill anyone, even if they had gone over to evil, if it can at all be avoided.
These cops are spoiled children. Most of the ones we deal with have 80 IQs. They are chosen specifically because they are easily duped and will do whatever those above them tell them to do. We need to treat these “cops” with love and respect… even the bad ones. When you give in to emotional reactionism… when you allow the global elite to control you with their mind control games you become part of the problem. You are supposed to react with hate and rage and threats of violence against these dumb animal cops. That is exactly what the global elite WANT you to do.

As a CCW holder, I would definitely consider shooting a cop that unholstered his taser with intent to use it on me or someone close to me, for no good reason.
It’s really getting to be and “us vs them” kind of situation, whether you are a criminal or just a law-abiding citizen minding your own business.
Check out the cop that assaulted the bike rider in NYC. Fortunately someone videotaped this one and proved the cop to be a f*****g liar. How many times does this crap happen when there is no one there to record it?

Something bad also happen to me in Ozark by the Ozark Police Department. They are the worst Scum on the earth and that whole area like the one gentleman said is full of Scum police officers it is the good old boy network and they do enforce it. The judge in Ozark Walters is also in on this and so is the mayor and I could go on and on. We move because of this and I was lucky that they didn’t try to plant something on me. My attorney in Springfield told us to move and get out of that area. One attorney wouldn’t even take my case for he doesn’t travel into Christian County. I hope this family does sue they do need to be on guard and I would advise them to never drive through Christian County again. I did contact the FBI on my case for they spiked my tires over my husbands job for someones wife worked for the police department and she did threaten us and yes they where carried out and the COP Who is the worst of the worst destroyed my car and the ground affects on this. Would love to run into him on my own ground. STAY AWAY FROM OZARK MO AND YES THE COP WHO DID THIS TO ME WAS ALSO IN ON THIS FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD FROM A FRIEND IN THAT AREA and yes you know who you are SS your on corrupted cops

The video from this incedent had to been recorded from the police cruzer. If there is no video or missing dash cam video, this is serious police negligence. You can bet your sweet ass there was a video of Mace Hutchinson getting TORCHERED by these cops. and you can bet they put there knee with all there body weight on the back of his neck while they wrenched his wrist around to cuff him while his back was broken. This is fun stuff for these guys. they even laugh about it to each other. How much hate has to be in heart of a person that does this. I know first hand of the brutality that can be dished out. I was a drunk before, but now I am a recovering alcoholic. I’ve been beaten many times, maced, all my money taken, false charges, and the list goes on. I was kicked so hard so many times by the those black high-tec boots that I have a perminant dent on my upper thigh. my feamer was close to being broke. All because I was a drunk,( easy target)
