For a period extending over three years, these often nasty comments had the combined effect of shifting responsibility for the Corps destructive and deadly levee failures during Katrina away from itself and onto the citizens of metro New Orleans.
Levees.org believes every citizen in America should be outraged that their Army Corps of Engineers, tasked by Congress to protect us, is instead attacking us.

Sidebar: I was eating lunch today and I had my Orwell Infowars t-shirt on. A couple stopped me to ask about it. Said they are big time Alex Jones supporters. We had a really great conversation. My husband said he saw some kids on scooters and one of them had an Infowars t-shirt. There are some great t-shirts and wearing them around town is a great way to fly the flag and signal like-minded patriots. I’m in grad school and I try to wear my Orwell shirt whenever I can.

Anyone get an email about the pledge of allegiance lately? We need to get people to realize this kind of tyranny can happen to them too and not just to somebody else. It is the only way they will sympathize with the victims and band together. Why would anyone pledge allegiance to a country of evil and tyranny? Only ignorance and fear. The Army Corps of Engineers sent all those New Orleans resident to bed when they knew the levees were breached & leaking – No warning, 1 foot of water – No warning, 5 feet of water – No warning, 8 feet of water – No warning, 11 feet of water and people breaking through their ceilings to survive – No warning…
They let those people go to sleep knowing the levees were failing and they did nothing to save them.

Well Did You Happen to catch the somewhat insignificent story about them working on the levees in Florida? Seems they are “CONCERNED” about the weak levee systems there . Well All I Can Say Is ,Floridians ,Get The Hell Out While You Can . Expect an “UNFORTUNATE ” and “UNFORESEEN” catastrophic flood causing another hell on earth ,Just like New Orleans went through . The f---in’ Corps of Engineers permitted the flood panels only to be set at 17Feet!!! Not the recommended 60Feet!!!(NPR). Though i feel for the people of New Orleans it really dosent make to much sense to me to constantly move back into a known ‘ natural disaster zone ‘ just like thoses people in California move back in to ‘ natural disaster zones ‘ year after year…. why put yourself and your family at risk…granted i do understand that some of these folks have lived there for generations etc. but the facts of the matter are clear…. New Orleans is below sea level and sinking ever so slightly year after year….just like Hurricanes will always come year after year and those in Calf. the fire will come year after year… why risk lives year after year… not to mention the cost of the relief efforts and the cost of repair… Year after Year !!! Still that being said… The Jackholes ( those that engaged in this crap ) in the corps of engineers targeting Citizen comment is pointless and a sever waste of time; effort and TAX PAYER MONEY !!!! I really think that there would; could and should be something more productive done !!!! M

Hey Mark, I’m with ya. I remember watching this on the news and seeing the people saying they had no way to get out. People walking around town in chest-high water and I’m thinking, I would WALK THE F**K OUT OF TOWN. Put on some good walking boots, grab a tent, my cat, some water, other essentials I could carry and start walking in the opposite direction of the water. I think when the water reaches my front door, its time to go. But NOLA is a perfect example of a welfare state. Not all, but a lot of people there have no idea how to be self-sufficient. They sat there waiting for their guv to save them. The final straw for me was when the city reelected Nagin. As far as I’m concerned, they deserve each other.
As for Corp. of Army Engineers, that’s still unexcusable. No honor.

I’ve become more and more aware of the fact that alot of blogs out there are bombarded by threads from people who can’t be speaking from anything but an elitist point of view, i.e., neocon, c.e.o.s, etc. You sometimes, if you’re me, wonder what perspective they’re coming from that makes you feel like such an “outsider” in some discussions. I, we, need to remember that sometimes the person you’re debating, especially in the mainstream blogs, has a lot of money at stake either perpetrating a myth and or defending a failed or failing system or entity. Armed with facts/sources and experience, these people can be defeated, at least from infecting other people’s belief systems (the young, etc.) by getting the last intelligent word in. As they usuallly don’t have a lot of time to argue very long (they have to go back to stealing money).

Google the fact that 5 “contractors” were shot and killed by local police during Katrina because they were “going aroung detonating the levee system”. There has been a major media blackout on who these guys were and who they worked for. Well guess what? The demolition contractors worked for none other than….CDI…..the same company seen in and around the WTC’s 1,2, and 7 just weeks and days before 9/11. The same company hired to reinforce the exact wall of the Pentagon that was hit by something on 9/11. The exact company that wrote the NIST report saying there were no demolitions on 9/11 even though they did no physical testing of debris. CDI…the same company paid millions to clean up and destory the evidence of the OKCity bombing in 1995……CDI was also seen inside the Murrah Building just days before the explosions.
So…to recap…..there were no commercial planes on 9/11. It was all staged to spend trillions, effect billions, kill tens of millions, torture and rendition thousands, in a never ending global war on a tactic known as terror.

The Internet.
In the 90’s when the inter first kicked off many felt that the freedom this would bring would be so incredible it would be unstoppable.
When TV first was implemented similar thought were thought about that medium but once the technology settled the TV started to them become predominantly owned to the extreme point that most people became subject to the TV stations mainly owned by one man Rupert Murdok who scooped in a lot of the press and now owns the main industrial index.
Rupert Murdok isn’t directly labeled the government but if you were to ask who dictates most what goes on today in the mainstream of anything it would be him and lets not forget If his channel has been forced to do something good like promote some arts channel You might get his picture or be told how wonderful his empire is but If a scandle in the news occours where by Health and safty issues are being denied with regards to the production of food on your plate all you’ll ever hear about if anything at all is some scape goats that is unless you turn to the internet to dig up real information. When the TV was young you could point the finger a lot beter at that small business man acting in a corrupt manor.
As for the internet you have to judge the degree to which it’s settled as a technology on Mores Law.
I think It would be fair to say that Rupert Murdok has more of a vested interest in Putting a ceiling up on the Limit to which the internet can progress than your averaged Engineer and If a company like Intel at least at the top sees it in their interest to work with a ceiling as to play the dominant role then they could well go that way over the next decade alongside others dragging in on the act.
If the Potential of the Internet Hits the ceiling then you will get a power fight just like has happened with every medium ever invented including Electricity itself.
If you want to know the main thing driving the Governments everywhere in the world today it’s not global warming, Food , Cars ect as those battle ground are mostly one with but one thing disrupting the corridors of power.
The Internet.
Point being a simple matter of like or respect for Alternative media like this channel is Null and void to a persons right to run such an operation in the first place and such thought should not be mistaken with the very real right a person has to fight for to make sure he can Express his thought freely to essentially the world.
Put it this way round the way round it is at this very moment means you have all rights to ignore mr Jones but if one man did get full control over the internet which lets not forget people would have said such things as such being impossible with the TV but mr Murdok did.
Would you then have the right to fully ignore that person like you have the right to ignore mr jones in the more free way of doing things.
Also if you really want to watch the ball mr Murdok isn’t strong enough or crafty enough to achieve it but that doesn’t mean that over the next few decades someone else won’t be and the system is closing in well enough such that possible some one could fill those shoes.
Let me tell you this
Today the system will try its best to make your life hell to stop you doing well no matter what because it doesn’t want the internet to succeed the way it’s going and for it not to succeed you would all have to do badly and be desperate.
If the internet does fully become controlled the government for your average person will make your life nice mostly so long as when it tells you of Tyranny you pretty much ignore it or want to help your nice government in what ever it wants to do.
Sounds good hey. Partly it is good but only such that Tyranny rules and there nothing you can do about it.
If however the people fully rose and challenged the system itself you would have to work for it but the deal of life you would then get would be extraordinary not just ordinary and deadly distortedly for those lucky ones.
So every time you think the system is giving you hell and that perhaps it would be nice if you just keeped your faith in the system look past it and with the best of your ability imagine what the world would be like if man stood up to the bully.
Think of what it’s like in school when you join the bullys side you don’t get everything but your not bullied but if you keep standing up to that bully and hold respect for others and keep it up until your dead then what butterfly effect are you causing there.
It’s better to die wanting the best from life itself than it is to die in hope and despair.
That little voice in your head will tell you again and again that that world you want is not possible especially while you watch mans new toy the internet get taken over it will tell you it’s for your own good and act very sweet and innocent and bully those who tell you the truth as much as it can get away with it.
That your wonderful government and it should fear you yes and you and you who ever you are.
