Councils get ‘Al Capone’ power to seize assets over minor offenses

The right to search homes, seize cash, freeze bank accounts and confiscate property will be given to town hall officials and civilian investigators employed by organisations as diverse as Royal Mail, the Rural Payments Agency and Transport for London.
The measure, being pushed through by Alan Johnson, the Home Secretary, comes into force next week and will deploy some of the most powerful tools available to detectives against fare dodgers, families in arrears with council tax and other minor offenders.
The radical extension of the Proceeds of Crime Act, through a Statutory Instrument which is not debated by parliament, has been condemned by the chairman of the Police Federation. Paul McKeever said that he was shocked to learn that the decision to hand over “intrusive powers” to people who were not police was made without consultation or debate.

You know busy bodies when you see them: they evesdrop, will report you for “child abuse” when you discipline your kids in the mall by giving them a small smack on the hand, they knock on your apartment door for “being too loud” when chopping vegetables on your counter for dinner, will tell flight attendants something like “excuse me but I saw that man using his cell phone during the safety demo” and will tell a COP something like “excuse me sir but I saw that man’s license plate tag as being expired.” What do you want me to do about a cell phone or an expired tag you stupid, loser? I had a friend once who was a busybody. He told me 6 months after I moved to Arizona that “I am going to report your car to the state DMV if you dont get your car registered with the state.” He did exactly what he said and I punched him in the face for it. We are not frinds anymore. I can’t stand ANY busybody like this. Let’s just say busybodies are the fingernails and we are their chalkboard.

I heard debt collectors and such in the UK have the right to harass your neighbors to get them to hound you to pay up. Even have clowns (literally) show up and make rounds and tell everyone you owe money.
The UK is a joke of a country. The people are treated like “subjects” and not citizens. That’s the first mistake and if we allow our government o treat us like subjects instead of citizens we won’t be far behind.
We revolted from the British due to that same treatment. I see a “peasant revolt” coming in the UK like never before.

I have an urgent message for you, more important than any message you can hear. God is Holy and cannot accept sin(honor thy mother and father…, thou shall not kill, thou shall not commit adultery, thou shall not steal, thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor, thou shall not covet..etc…Exodus 20:12-17). It is a horrible and terrible place of everlasting torment that people will go because of their sins.

But God has provided a way for each to escape the lake of fire. He sent his Son Jesus(God manifest in the flesh-1 Timothy 3:16) who was conceived by a virgin by the Holy Spirit of God,lived a sinless life, and suffered a horrible death/shed blood and rose again 3 days later to take the penalty of YOUR sins so you dont have to pay for them in hell for eternity! He loved you so much which is why he did it! He is the only one to have fufilled the law perfectly(sinless) and paid the price of the entire world’s sins so that man could be saved on the merits of His perfection(see Romans 5:19). All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust in Him to save you as a sinner). You must admit your lost sinful condition to Him/that you’re worthy of hell, and ask Him to save you by placing complete trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation(an example in the Word of someone doing this- “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13).It is not even partly by yourselves that you can be saved, but only by the merits of Jesus Christ!

For death comes when we least expect it! Make sure you are saved TODAY! The Bible condemns the rich, the wealthy, and those who take advantage of the poor, so it CANNOT have been made up by the elite. Because the Word clearly CONDEMNS people such as those! It declares all mankind as sinners(myself included).

All of this bantering back in forth about who will do what to who when SHTF, is, I suppose, a natural response but there is a higher thought to ponder here. Our brothers in liberty in Europe are suffering at the hands of their taskmasters and they (our brothers in liberty) are humans too, and hence have God given rights also (God is God everywhere-right? so God given rights apply to all), which are being denied them on an increasing basis. Not only do we American liberty lovers need to rally together here, but we need to support our brothers/sisters in liberty wherever the people choose to pursue it.
I do think the situation in this article serves as a barometer/indicator of what the elite will try to us here in America, but there are millions of liberty lovers here just as over there and the global elite would like nothing more than to keep us as separated as possible. Now it appears they simply bypass this route which means those who are in dire financial straits due to the recession etc will be most affected and will have no legal support at all..
