Since the Mumbai attacks counter-terrorism planning has seen a major shift. Those charged with thwarting or reacting to future terror attacks were alarmed by Mumbai. The shootings in Afghanistan and Fort Hood carry echoes of the atttacks in India with the added danger that the enemy has come from within.
The new-style of attack relies not on the suicide bomb, or the al-Qaeda adherence to massive casualties, but on the shock of a gunman, or a handful of gunmen, opening fire in a place where people felt safe and secure – the luxury hotel, the police base, the US Army camp.
Lord West, the Security Minister, told a Commons committee last month that the prospect of such an attack in Britain was at the forefront of his mind. The minister said he and his team were “doing a lot of work” on “the Mumbai issue”. He painted a bleak (and rather prophetic) picture of what might happen: “It is extremely difficult in an open society to stop there being initial casualties, if you have some men who have been trained to military standard, three or four of them, with relatively heavy weapons.

What happened today is really really bad!!! for all of us. The goverment will now clamp down on personal weapons owned by military personnel. They will put the hammer down on any unhappy soldiers. The Homeland Security report stated the government has concerns that unhappy soldiers will become extremists. I think that the Left/ Right thing is to some extent a con to keep the public fighting among itself and its focus on the next election and off of Revolution. But even so there is a few percentage difference between them which make alot of a difference in peoples lives. The Democrats will occasionally make concessions to the poor. The Republicans never will because they are Philosophically opposed to Government regulation or Social programs.

Now it’s reported that he was getting counseling and under psychiatric evaluation/monitoring. First they said he was dead but now alive in a hospital and recovering. - the shooter did not shoot people randomly, he specifically targeted his victims

There is an old saying that blood is thicker than water. There is more to it than just that.
Many people take being a citizen of this country, or any country for granted and simply do not understand, that you are nobody without your country and your heritage – NOBODY!!!

When I was younger I did not understand this. As I got older and became a father and matured, I found out just how AMERICAN my ass was after 9/11 and the non-stop assault on our Constitution & Bill of Rights, the right to bear arms, the right to privacy and on and on.
Now I am watching this and being older I will tell you all something. There will come a turning point where being an AMERICAN will matter more than anything else in your life, along with all the founding principles that make us what we are as individuals. Because without all of that you’ll find out soon enought that you are NOBODY.
This I am telling you has ramifications that permiate our souls and subconscious in ways unrealized by many. Most of what’s wrong with this country and all the chaos we are seeing today, is the direct result of liberals and neocons attempting to dismantle the massive pilings of our national identity. The consequences of this envoke powerful emotions that are suppressed and the dammage it causes is a severe as a psychological type of neutron psycho bomb.
The same obviously holds true for our muslim friend that lost it, when those two(2) realities collided within his psychee, for which he probably can’t account for and which baffles psychiatrists because they are total numb nuts advising the leadership of this country!

I noticed that very subtly the anchor slipped in that the alleged shooter was being monitored for his posts on the internet. Imagine that! They say it right out in the open not thinking that we will notice. I did. So, hello there desk-jockey whom is reading my posts. According to neighbors who had little contact with him prior to these events, the day before the shooting he was passing out copies of the Torah and proclaiming that Jews were superior to gentiles. There is one Fact that stands out about the Shooter at Fort Hood: he is Arabic. The last name of “Hassan” is an Arabic Name, and there is a 99.99 percent chance that the Shooter is also an Islamic Muslim. Listening to a main stream news show this morning, the Talk Show Host was puzzled that President Obama did not make immediate and detailed remarks regarding the shooting.
Simply put, Obama is delaying his comments for a later press release because the Shooter is a MUSLIM. There are numerous families in Egypt and other Muslim Countries with the last name of “Hassan”. President Obama is waiting for his White House Press Spinners and Deceivers to try and come up with a way to Spin and Deceive their way out this Debacle for the Muslim Community. There is obviously some kind of Double Cross by the US Military that lead this Muslim US Soldier to go on this Shooting Rampage. We will know the truth as soon as someone at Fort Hood has the “Courage” to bring forth the real truth as to why this Muslim went on a Shooting Rampage. When I first attended college at the end of 2002, I met my girlfriends roomate who was muslim. I asked her some serious questions about her faith and she proceeded to tell me that she was PLEASED that Bin Laden (yeah, our govt, CIA…i know…she didn’t) accomplished what he did on 9/11 and it gave her pride. Then, with the biggest smile on her face said that if she could, she would bring an automatic ak-47 on to the campus and start blowing away as many Americans as she could. Then laughed. While she is attending American education on an American campus on American soil.
I thanked her for her deep perspective on her faith and proceeded out of the room (keeping myself from front-snap kicking her to the chest and crushing her skull with my heel). I then notified the college “police” and administrators. I was told that because we were alone at the time they couldn’t verify my story and also gave me the vibe that I was being racist, islamophobe, profiling, etc..(thank God she didn’t actually carry out her fantasies…but what if)
I dropped out of college and into the Marines (which wasn’t the brightest idea, either). Well, here I am years later (did 4 years active-Cpl)….completely lost as to what it is to be an “American” anymore as our country may start looking more like Fallujah in the next couple years with a series of presidents that seem to want to further that agenda…..AWESOME….

The truth is probably something VERY different. For example:
‘Two US privates John Smith and John Henry had been seeing a military psychiatrist major Hasan at Fort hood for a few weeks. Both privates said they were completely against the war of oppression in the middle east and would refuse to report for active duty if ordered to do so.
So the army put them both in therapy with Dr. Hasan. After more than five weeks of therapy both Christian privates were called to go to Afghanistan. Both privates warned they would not go and they would defend themselves with force if the army tried to force them to fight in a war they believed was morally wrong.
Yesterday fellow soldiers tried to surprize the two consciencious objectors but the privates were prepared and killed 12 soldiers who tried to force their way into the privates’ barracks at Fort Hood.
During the mele their psychiatrist major Hasan, tried to talk the two privates into surrendering but he was shot twice.
Finally both privates were overcome and killed. Their psychiatrist major Hasan is in hospital recovering.’
Officials of the military have spun the story to make it seem the privates’ doctor (who has a muslim sounding name) was the perpetraitor so that the public does not understand just how much resistance there is to the middle east war in the military rank and file.
The whole official Fort Hood cover story is 98% a lie – just like 9/11. Do you trust the main stream media for the truth in a story like this? Heck, for any story?

Interesting spin, but you obviously can’t back any of that up until further evidence (if the real story ever surfaces).
Plus it sounds very unlikely the soldiers would wait to have an armed confrontation over deploying (losing your life for that sounds incredibly stupid). It is just easier to go UA (unauthorized abscence) come back after your unit deployed and suffer minimal consequences..ie loss of rank, money, and some brig time (or whatever the Army calls it) and get a dishonorable discharge….I seen it a few times while I was in.
The capital punishment for desertion (death) nowadays only applies to desertion on the battlefield in the middle of a firefight and your actions caused the death of fellow service men.

We need to bring the boys home so we can route out the sleeper cells doing damage already here. If Iran or Iraq keep pulling garbage or making megalomaniacal genocidal threats we can send in Special forces to tear their crap up and bomb the snot out of important and dangerous locations. Otherwise U.S. blood doesn’t need to be spilled on the account of a bunch of primitive ingrates who indoctrinate every generation with the desire to “kill the infidel”. Every time we try to help we are resented and do more damage than good or at least the story is spinned to appear that way. While we’re at it we should cut off aid to all the countries we send money to. We can’t afford to do it and they talk smack behind out back anyway.

1-Hasan was harassed by his military peers for his Muslim background and his vocal opposition of the two wars against Muslims.
2-Hasan was a psychiatrist who would listen to and take in all of the horror stories told to him by fellow US Soldiers about the deaths of their comrades and the atrocities committed against innocent Muslim men, women and children.
3-Hasan did not want to go to Afghanistan where he would be in the middle of a war he detested.
Conclusion: It’s really no surprise that he went postal.
The media is already pushing the “terrorist” angle. Could this have been the whole purpose for this horrible incident? Increase awareness of “terrorism” Increase existing tensions between Americans and Muslims within the USA? Drum up National support for amping up the war effort in Afghanistan?

Plus, Islam is at complete odds with not only Christianity but every other faith or non-faith. It’s either Islam with complete submission to Allah or death/slavery. Doesn’t get any more simple than that.

I don’t have solid numbers in front of me but “fundamentalist” muslims definitly are WAAAYYY ahead of the pack when it comes to violence.
The whole religion is centered around violence and oppression. I can’t remember the last time I saw or heard of fundamentalist Christians taking out roomfuls of innocents for the cause of Jesus….maybe borderline intolerant ranting and raving (aka westboro baptist church), or that EXTREMEMLY random cult that claims some belief in Jesus and decides to kill themselves and their followers to meet the UFO behind the moon…..but the use of death as a tool of evangilization is Islam’s expertise.
NOW, if you are talking fundamentalist govt(we maybe seeing a close second….Islam just has the preexisting history on their side..one up)…..well you may definitly be on to something brother!

Curious:
How is it that a Major, who goes to the range ONCE…maybe TWICE a year and might not EVEN fire a pistol, dual-weild 2 pistols and kill 13 and wound 30. Your basic load-out on a handgun is say 8 to 12 rounds, 20 being the max on an extended clip. He empties his clips, takes cover to re-load and empties the rest of his clips. Having a 12 round clip with one reload: that equals 48 rounds. So he connected 43 shots out of 48, all while dual weilding 2 pistols. This isn’t the movies and firing off 2 pistols at once is extremely difficult. He’s never been to combat, deployed; yet the media portays this man as being “calm, collected and had a measured approach” during the massacre.
It’s a strange event; he’s dead…then he’s alive. Did he have help, or not. It just all doesn’t add up and this stinks…

Also I didn’t read up on all the details but dual-wielding pistols is definitly Hollywood….
But dual wielding-pistols within close quarters and emptying them into a crowded room can definitly be advantageous (if you got enough ammo)….don’t really need to be too keen on aiming when your pointing them a couple feet away from a large mass of flesh….

After watching a lot of videos, (esp: strange case of Josephe Moshe, Trolling for swine flu, debate fema camps trains trucks buses coffins swine flu and martial law) reading and corresponding on this site, it all seems to be coming together!
I went to to veteran’s cemetery here when it was reported (on pp) plastic coffins had arrived in our city and sure thing, they were there. There are over a thousand FEMA camps ready for business, trains outfitted for prisoners, buses and our soldiers and the UN soldiers are being trained for martial law.
All of this equipment was ordered years ago!!!!! Mainstream media says nothing!
The H1N! vaccines are going to be used as a bioweapon by plan at this time so martial law can be called, the bank holiday is coming soon, the new currency is here and they have to devalue the dollar and all hell will break loose at the same time all by design.
