maybe we shud be pushing for laws that dont allow just a few corporations to own ALL the media and entertainment…mite be a good place to start chipping away at their fortress of disinformation.

These provo loving Irish Americans have funded the Provisional IRA for years, the so called reunification idea disppears when you think that the ex Prime Minister Mr Charles Haughey funded the terrorist organisation at its inception. Folk in Northern Ireland will remember the Neil Blaney affair!!…… To think the price of peace is to have terrorists in Government….. how sick!!

My friend it would be good to remember that there was a Civil War in Ireland but not between the British/Irish but Irish fighting Irish. Why would it be a great day to see Ireland as one Nation, great for who? Wake up smell the coffee if there was reunification thats when the troubles really would start. On a realistic note, The Free State/Eire is bankrupt like Iceland, who in their right mind wants anything to do with a lost cause!! Eire took all the
they could from the EEC, fair play to them but now the funds have stopped they will have to stand on their own two feet. They were so lucky not to have suffered the murdering campaign from the Provisional IRA, the people from Northern Ireland had to endure and pay the price of a weak ecconomy, think about it who would have wanted to invest in Northern Ireland with such a killing/bombing campaign during the 70’s 80’s and 90’s. The so called ex Prime Minister of Ireland Charles Haughey was a key player in funding and arming the Provisional IRA, there are two sides to every story, sadly past Irish Goernments have blood stains o their hands. Some peace deal with murderers in Government in Stormont, Adams and Maguiness should be have been tried for War Crimes!!

You say the IRA were an undefeated army, well we can’t exactly say they were victorious because their prime goal was a United Ireland and this has certainly not been achieved. There appears to be confusion as the IRA is basically a redundant finished organisation. Are you not confusing the IRA with the Provisional IRA, who sustained a very intense military campaign up until the Good Friday Agreement. The idea of ‘Order to Survive’ is not quite correct as the IRA was the fore runner of the terriorist organisation, but the PIRA were the big players the terror war. The Supergrass persons had nothing to do with the IRA, they were involved mostly wth the loyalist para military wings and the Provos to a lesser degree. The Real IRA and the CIRA were independent groups each with their own agenda. Hope this clarifies the position. One thing I do agree with is that Irish American money funded and helped sustain the killing machine of the PIRA, but then again the late former Irish Prime Minister Charles Haughey funded the start up and arming of the Provos….. enough said.

I think you should learn a bit more about N. Ireland, I’m from Belfast and find it offensive some American with a drop of Irish blood commenting on shit he knows nothing about. Firstly it is the majority of Northern Ireland wish to remain British. Secondly, Northern Ireland has as much Ulster Scots heritage than Irish Heritage which is also Celtic.

I now look at the bigger picture on the world theatre but the old prejudice boils when some Irish american thinks they know what happens here, especially the funding comment.
