Stephen Spoonamore warns in a new interview that electronic voting machines represent a national security threat and that hackers are already planning to steal the 2008 presidential election for John McCain.
Spoonamore is a GOP member and a lifelong Republican, having worked on election campaigns with Rudy Giuliani and Michael Bloomberg. He also has 20 years worth of experience in encrypted and networked communications systems for banks, TV, telecommunications, EMS, Military and other uses.
In an ten part You Tube interview, Spoonamore warns that hackers are planning to steal the election on behalf of the McCain camp and even predicts the margin of victory, that McCain will make a “shocking recovery” and win 51.2 percent of the vote with three electoral votes over Obama.
“This is a national security threat,” said Spoonamore, “it is very possible for a foreign government to begin manipulating that transmission of code just as they attempt to do fairly often with our financial data….we deal with it every day on the commercial side,” he added, noting that China, and not the American people, has a greater chance of choosing the next U.S. president.
Spoonamore also fingered Israel as another foreign government that was planning to attempt to hack the 2008 election.
“We don’t know who’s changing the vote now – these weird results are coming in all over,” said Spoonamore, adding that the danger of the vote being hacked by Israel, China or Russia is an even greater threat than partisan vote fraud on behalf of the Democrats and Republicans.
“You’ve built a vulnerable system and many people would want to exploit that vulnerability and not all of them have the best interests of our nation at heart,” he added.
In the interview, Spoonamore stresses how easy it is to hack an electronic voting machine and rig an election.
“If people think that a voting machine that calls in to a tabulator is any different than all those cash registers calling in to the central processor – it’s the same thing,” said Spoonamore. “If you put a man in the middle attack, a computer sitting in the middle that can change or capture or manipulate the information, it will do so,” he added.
“It’s valuable to be president….if you can steal it for a couple of million bucks why not,” said Spoonamore, adding that the last two presidential elections were stolen.
Spoonamore said that he had personally witnessed people attempting to hack election systems and since going public with his testimony had received threats not to talk about vote fraud because it would undermine American’s confidence in the voting process, to which Spoonamore responded that people should doubt their vote because “it’s being stolen”.
Spoonamore said that top Republican operatives had told him that election hacking was “just a different methodology” but they didn’t grasp the fact that if you build a hackable system, “there’s hundreds of sharks that want to hack it and you will not know who the final hacker was.”
Spoonamore said that the only way to prevent elections being stolen is a complete return to paper ballots, a “move back to what worked so well for 190 years,” and the elimination of electronic voting machines.

Who is this guy? 51.2 percent…??? That’s the way it’s played. So close, but yet so far.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:41 am
f--- it. Beat them at their own game. We need to hack it so Ron Paul wins. Hmmm. I predict a Ron Paul victory by slim margin … 35.2% over Obamas 32.5% and McCains 32.3% Woot!
September 30th, 2008 at 8:42 am
As a precinct representative, this is EXACTLY what I have been trying to tell the local election bureau, not to mention the Secretary in charge.(Of State..that is, swimming pools, movie stars)
No it is not funny, but I make light of it becuase I know how very serious this is.
Please people call every representative about these rediculous machines.

When you go to vote. If there is a computer ask for a ballot fill it out drop in box.

After what happened in Florida in 2000, Ohio in 2004, this mess coming with electronic voting makes me think – no – makes me believe the real agenda is to disenchant the american public. With a large percentage of people sidelining the elections in the past combined with scandals past and now present the few that did vote might as well stay home. On 9/11, I said to myself, ” the next attack will be larger.” I had no idea the next attack would be the whole country.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:53 am
Obama, McCain. Who f---ing cares?!? Whichever asshole is selected in this years election farce will continue to give you and I a good hard boning. More war, more poverty, more fearmongering, more homeland “security”, more taxation, more inflation, and the continued special tongue massage of Zionists rumps in Israel. The president is just another ho’ for the banksters. How can an election be stolen when both candidates are from the same party?
September 30th, 2008 at 8:53 am
STATES HAVE TIME TO PRINT PAPER BALLOTS BEFORE THE NOVEMBER ELECTION. ACT NOW! PLEASE EVERYONE
GO VIRAL WITH THIS.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:55 am
Everyone should request an absentee ballot through your county’s voter registration office.
September 30th, 2008 at 8:57 am
Everyone is hacking in and trying to control who becomes the next President! This is bat s--- crazy!
September 30th, 2008 at 9:01 am
Frankly, this guy doesn’t seem that candidate. He’s speculating.
But whoever wins, this is a rigged game. The owners of the two main voting machine companies are brothers. This is just a joke. WE NEED PAPER BALLOTS. I mean, what kind of lame excuse is it that they are more “difficult” to count??
September 30th, 2008 at 9:02 am
We need some GOOD GUY HACKERS to rig it for Ralph Nader, Cynthia McKinney or Chuck Baldwin!
Of course, then they will finally admit how flawed their voting system really is and demand a recount. It would be great exposure!
GET ACTIVE! HAND OUT DVD’S AND/OR FLYERS!
!!!DTTNWO!!!

It is obvious that Paul won both Iowa, and N.H, but was Diebolded out of it. Look, there is no way O’bama could win without a diebold fix for him. A straight party line vote, will make it easy for diebold to adjust just a small amount. The House Republicans have assured a McCain win by holding strong on the bailout, even without diebold.

Alex and Kurt,
Please consider throwing your considerable ‘weight’ behind this simple plan.
We have clearly defined the problems ad nauseum, now it’s time to start living in the solution.
What say you?
I think we need to push for Campaign Reform to separate ‘Corps and State’.
1)Make Lobbyists illegal.
2)Set Spending Caps on Campaigns.
3)Implement laws with Serious penalties for bribing public officials
4)Equal media time for all candidates.
5)Limits to contributions to Candidates.
The goal? Make it impossible to “BUY” a candidate in America.
This simple powerful plan will give America back to the people. Within 8 years of implementing such a plan, America would belong to Americans once again.
September 30th, 2008 at 9:21 am
It is only possible to steal/rig elections because we have SECRET ballots. As Ron Paul pointed out in “Revolution: A Manifesto”, what kind of doublespeak are we exercising when we encourage people to buy bumper stickers, yard signs, pins, stickers, and other political baubles to loudly vociferate their candidate of choice, but in the same breath demanding privacy and secrecy when we go to our polling places on election day? 100 years ago, people voted PUBLICLY so that independent records of how many people voted and for whom could be kept. Then, suddenly, we switched to secret ballots, and the elections have been stinking ever since.
I have only ever heard two cogent arguments against having a public ballot:
1.) Won’t I get harassed by members of an opposing political party for voting for the candidate of my choice?
Well, perhaps. I would ask you this, “Do you get harassed for having a McCain or Obama or Ron Paul yard sign now?” I don’t. Never have. No one I know has. Sometimes it may start a CONVERSATION, but I don’t know of any groups going around and angrily knocking on doors or burning crosses in yards over political decisions. Well, maybe the KKK is burning some crosses for Obama supporters, but that’s a racial issue, not a political one.
2.) Isn’t it untenable to publicly announce every single vote?
Not really. We manage to get enough people volunteering to monitor votes for every election we have in this country, and there are usually at least 3 or 4 people just sitting around doing nothing anyway, which suggests to me that we could get folks to show up to help keep public records of who voted and for whom they voted. Voting monitors already have alphabetical lists of all the registered voters in their district, so why would it be difficult to simply add a column in which to record their vote? Watchdog groups could sit right beside the vote monitor and see that nothing fraudulent was going on, and at the close of voting, several photocopies of the full ballot could be made with a standard copy machine to be kept by each watchdog group that wanted one.
This way, when chicanery the likes of that which occurred in New Hampshire during the presidential primary in 2008 takes place, it will be immediately seen as fraud. If you’re unfamiliar with what happened in NH, there were multiple townships in which Ron Paul was given a “0″ count for votes and in which several Ron Paul supporters stepped forward and said “We voted for Ron Paul and our votes were not counted.” Had those votes been taken publicly, it would have been virtually impossible to pull off a “0″ count. No one would even attempt to do it. Why? Because a REAL checks-and-balances system would have been adopted. Sadly, we have no such system in place in our voting process today. Congressional testimonies have been heard to the effect that all voting machines are reprogrammable in under 30 seconds and that such tampering is not evident and is nearly impossible to detect without going to each and every single machine in the country.
Madness! Why don’t we just publicly declare our vote?
September 30th, 2008 at 9:24 am
COME ON THIRD PARTY HACKERS,
WE REALLY NEED YOU NOW.
NADER GONZALAZ !
hack away !!
screw up all the takeover plans,

Great article Alex. Now we know how Bush stole the last 2 elections even though elections are a fraud here in the USA anyway. Delegate Votes are designed to give the few the power over the many. I wouldn’t trust a delegate as far as I could throw one. Until we go by the popular vote we are NOT living in a democracy. It is so blatant and in your face that people don’t see it. Our whole presidential voting process is a fraud and an obvious one at that. The best way to hide the fact that we are not living in a democracy and that we have been lied to for centuries is to put it right in front of us. People are so busy trying to keep up appearances that they are blind to what is really going on.
Thanks for posting this.

September 30th, 2008 at 9:52 am
GREAT IDEA #11. ABSENTEE PAPER BALLOTS ARE ALREADY PRINTED.
September 30th, 2008 at 9:57 am
We here are also in an election campaign for our next leader, but in our case the Election was called 2 weeks ago, the campaign started officially, and the vote will be held on Oct. 14th and all votes will be counted form all parties we currently have 4 parties vying for this federal election, oh and the votes are all on paper and all counted with a winner declared the same night!
Sounds amazing huh?
Get rid of those voting machines pronto, its easy to have large varied groups of citizens present while the paper ballots are counted and verified. There is no need for these silly machines, and obviously very good reasons not to have them.
September 30th, 2008 at 9:59 am
There are so many people that are clueless….about everything. There are so many people who wont listen….about anything. All these things are happening and it feels like there is nothing we can do about it.
Seems to be only a handfull who know the truth. That’s scary as s---.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:06 am
I’m not sure who runs exit polls, but why can’t we provide information to them to establish a written record. We could even video it so there is a verfiable record. Sure, you can choose not to participate, but you keep track of those numbers. We could have a receipt system like a raffle, and the voter can sign both tickets. Create some kind of record that would be admissible in court if necessary. I think most people would participate. I’m sure third-party candidate votes are undercounted. The exit poll could be a giant form that voters write their signature in the column of the candidate they voted for, along with the time of day. Video record it by a licensed court reporter who can swear to its authenticity. The video and written records could only be used if an election outcome is disputed. A year later or so the records are destroyed and certified by a nun as destroyed! You get the point–create our own record that would be admissible in court.

MAN, you said it all. that is the truth. You got it brother! YOU got my respect.
AMERICANS, it is time to you to bring democracy…BACK HOME!!!
that should be told to every young man risking his life for your country.
by the way, i come to this page becouse the brazilian gov. have an “eletronic system” for voting, even though we have a direct democracy…watch out…I don’t really trust that thing is safe man.
Couse in Brazil right now gang lords in the jail make cell phone conferences to judge enemies and give them death row via clandestine phone centrals made with a pc and a lot of cell phones.I mean…damn…even posting this comment…what is safe in internet???
September 30th, 2008 at 10:16 am
I just thought of something simple that can work within the current system. When you sign in before you vote, provide the option to disclose your presidental vote. The voter signs their name across the name of the candidate while the election official is sitting across from them. Again, you can choose not too, but we keep track of that as well. How hard can that be? I don’t mind disclosing my vote if it will insure the legitimacy of the election.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:24 am
We can do something, but we need to act as soon as possible.
We’d need to start with mass protests, whether it be of news corporations who avoid the blatant facts and truths, and then make someone we can trust understand. The world is rapidly changing, and if we don’t do something soon, we won’t have the ability to make a stand!

September 30th, 2008 at 10:30 am
There’s no need for hackers. They already have the solution since 2000. It’s called “DieBiold” + “Media”
the system is simple:
they rig all polls (or delete the ones that they can’t rig) so that the candidates look very close , say 48% to 52% , and when its time for the rape, they just swing that to wherever they want.
If that doesn’t work, they call it a draw and pay the lawyers to certify which one they want.
all simple, and the USA is most definitely not a democracy, at least since 1950.
Previously they just assasinated the one they didnt want. Now they have a much simpler solution.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:39 am
THIS is why you should vote for Obama.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:40 am
Looks to me like BO’s gang will be “stealing” the election by dubious and illegal voting practices.
September 30th, 2008 at 10:44 am
#21 I do agree with you that our elections have been rigged the past few times, but you keep going on about living in a democracy. America is not a democracy. It is a republic. Democracy is no more than majority rules. You cannot have pure democracy without the small guy getting screwed. Think of a lynch mob, you have 100 voices wanting to kill somebody and then 1 voice against it. Doesn’t matter if the mob is in the wrong, the democratic way says he’s the minority and must die to the angry mob majority. A republic also helps guards against laws being passed which only benefit high populace areas. If we had a democracy the millions in California and New York would end up deciding the course for the whole country, whether or not it is good for citizens outside of these places.

Sorry Dan, but obumma is as worthless as mcqueen! Look people, it’s just like Alex has always said, “There hasn’t been a real election since Kennedy.”
I think it’s in the film “America: Freedom to Fascism”, but it was testified in front of Congress that some software exists and has been used, which flips the vote in favor of anyone “they” want, by some slight margin.
Go watch this fim now, and you’ll see. mcqueen or obumma! Either way, we lose.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:30 am
We haven’t had an elected president for fifty years. They are selected not elected but none the less I’m casting my vote for Chuck Baldwin for President. God forgive and save America.
September 30th, 2008 at 11:31 am
Ventura is starting a conspiracy theory show!!!
September 30th, 2008 at 11:57 am
The only reason for bring in the electronic voting machines was to manipulate the vote
in the favor of the one with the most money and influence! Anything can be bought for
the right amount! Even the office of the “President of the United States!” Why else change the
old tried and true way of voting? Maybe Obama’s trip around the world was for that reason!
Foreign Hackers! Tisk~Tisk!
Vote for a Third Party if you Dare!
It could change the course of events to come,
like a Dictatorship, better known as the Bush Regime!
September 30th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
The facts are clear: we need to dismiss computer voting, get back to the paper ballots, allow equal debate times for all candidates, and place a low cap on election campaign funds for all candidates.
September 30th, 2008 at 12:48 pm

This is what it says on the FEDs page, I guess they’ll have to change it now.
• History—During the 1800s,people routinely lost faith in the banking and financial system. Paper
money could be printed by states, cities, and private businesses. The Federal Reserve Act was passed
in 1913 to create a safer and more stable monetary and banking system.
• Structure—The Federal Reserve is a “decentralized central bank” with both private and public
elements operating independently within the government. The Board of Governors of the Federal
Reserve is a government agency. The 12 Federal Reserve Banks are not government agencies; they
represent the private component of the Fed.
• Monetary Policy—The primary focus of monetary policy is price stability. The body that is
charged with setting monetary policy is the Federal Open Market Committee, which regulates the
amount of money and credit in the economy.
• Financial Services—The Federal Reserve is often called “the bankers’bank” because it provides
financial institutions with high quality currency and coin, processes checks and electronic payments,
and encourages new payment technologies.
• Bank Supervision—To enhance public confidence in banks, the Fed promotes the safety and
soundness of the banking system.Bank examiners analyze financial records, risk, and compliance and
can require banks to take cor rective action if necessar y.
• The Fed Today—As banking practices and laws have evolved, the Fed has adapted to these changes
by helping to write additional banking laws and incorporate new technologies. Emerging
democracies have used the Fed as a model when modifying their central banks.

EXTENDING THE LESSON:
Have students visit the FED101 website at: http://www.kc.frb.org/fed101/policy/ to learn more about the role of the Fed in the U.S. economy and take an on-line quiz.
DISCUSSION POINT:
Myth:
The Federal Reserve Act was passed illegally under a cloak of secrecy and was started by an elite
group of private bankers.
REALITY:
The Federal Reserve System was created by the Federal Reserve Act and signed into law by
President WoodrowWilson on December 23, 1913.Although the Act was passed in the final
days of the legislative session,it had been debated for some time in earlier versions.Because the
regional Federal Reserve Banks are privately owned, and most of their directors are chosen by
their stockholders,it is common to hear that control of the Fed is in the hands of elite bankers.
However, individuals do not own stock in Federal Reserve Banks. The stock is held only by
banks that are members of the system. Ownership and membership are synonymous.

Hey John,
Take your racist crap somewhere else. OhNobama is not bad because he is black. He is bad because he serves the same puppet masters as McShame and Bush. It’s not about color. It’s about American sovereignty and Liberty. Get it right, or get out.
September 30th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
A government that would rig the last two elections in their favor will no doubt rig another one for John McCain and the woman who makes W. look like JFK, Sarah Palin.
We just had our voting system changed here in Pinellas County, Florida, where we’ve gone from touch screens to the “fill in the tiny bubble” format. I voted in a primary in late August, and sure enough, I made a mark outside the tiny, tiny bubble and had to vote all over again. It’s just another bad system to insure our votes can be tampered with.

Obama is a racest. He is the only one who always talks about it. Bad news. All his associates are criminals and the news media giving him a pass. He has a hard time telling the truth. He is a disgrace and a looser. By the way what’s with his skin color of late? Looks darker and orange.
September 30th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Why you dont use vote machines WITHOUT internet.
In my country we have that, and the machine print the result in end of day, and all partys can see or get a copy. Then when the data (in flopy disk) is sent to government, we CAN check the final result and see if someone changed the numbers.
September 30th, 2008 at 3:27 pm
It’s not about color, it’s about power over the people regardless of color and before you begin to understand these basic principles of slavery, you will be the slave. I suggest you take action against your captors (bankers) because you are literally in a prison right now with very little hope of escape. Hope is inextinguishable and it never runs out because hope is just an idea. Keep this idea in mind while you take action and you can never lose.
I’ll see you on the front line.

From my far off view of this madness from Melbourne, Victoria, AUSTRALIA, I feel heartened by the fact that WE USE PAPER BALLOTS and a seamless national system to elect our governments. When I hear of IDIOTS SUGGESTING that we should be able to VOTE ON-LINE, I would like to slap them as I lead the charge to change our CONSTITUTION to PERMANENTLY ENSHRINE THIS METHOD! As a teacher, I note that this would also mean the skill of hand writing would continue to be taught and act as (some) safeguard againist an Orwellian future of thoughtcrime and things disappearing down the memory hole…:)

To my forgiven shame I voted for Bush in 2000 as I thought and was told that he was a good man!! And I even campaigned for the monster!! And I did this for one month and when he won; I was happy until I read how big of a devil him and his father were and then I cried and weeped because I had b een suckered by the globalist elites for a whole 2 months!! But after 2 months; I researched and knew that they rigged the elections and cheated another devil, Al Gore from being President!! The difference between Gore and Bush is that Bush is much more sneakier with his lying than Gore who is also a monster deceiver and devil, could ever be!! For the last President that wasn’t completely controlled and owned by the new world order was Reagan!! And when Reagan went up against them; THEY SHOT HIM AND MEANT TO KILL HIM!! BUT THE GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN SPARED HIS LIFE and they were the ones who got rid of him through the food and water that he ate and drank!! BUT DON’T WORRY; IN THE END; THEY WILL SUFFER THE HORRIBLE AGONIES OF THE GREAT LAKE OF FIRE AND BRIMSTONE!! And then we that have been martyred and killed BECAUSE WE WOULDN’T TAKE THE BEAST CHIP WILL POSSESS AND RULE THE EARTH IN RIGHTEOUSNESS AND PERFECTION AS JESUS ALONE WILL BE OUR REIGNING KING OF ALL kings!!!

Did someone mention hacking?? Count me in! Why not use community edited open source software, that way people like me could debugg the code and find potential memory leaks or backdoors? That way if they released open source code to the open source community there would be no question if the software had any secret backdoors. If you people don’t use open source: Linux,FreeBSD(unix) GET ON THE TRAIN or get left behind. Anyways I say let the linux community write the code for the voting machines..can anybody say Ron Paul for dictator

Mitm(man in the middle attacks) huh? I do man in the middle attacks regularly! They are easy to stop, get a good packet sniffer or write a program that searches for fraudulent ARP requests, also put these voting machines on separate networks. Also use good ARP table settings and MAC filtering. If the dumbasses maintaining the networks wouldn’t look for a mitm attack before doing anything else they should be questioned for conspiracy! Let us write the software, let US maintain the networks! A VOTING SYSTEM BY THE PEOPLE FOR THE PEOPLE! We have the most to lose! George Bush killed Heath Ledger

I have been saying for years that Ben Ladin had nothing to do with 911 and because he said he didn’t; the mossad and Pakistani intelligence assasinated him!! But on the Great Day of Judgment; everything will be totally revealed and everybody will know why God had to throw most of his creation into the great lake of fire and brimstone!! For the #1 reason that most will go to hell because they have never accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour and they have followed Satan and his sins which has caused them to deny God and take Satans zombie making BEAST CHIP THAT WILL TURN THEM ALL INTO MINDLESS ZOMBIES!!

I believe that 9/11, the impending recession, the unreal scarcity of oil as well as the election is all controlled by the few (the Illuminati) for the purposes of bringing about global control based on an underpinned fear! It is not wrong, it just is! Ironically there is nothing to fear but fear itself! ‘F’alse ‘E’vidence ‘A’ppearing ‘R’eal. – Its purpose is for the greater good of the few!
We would do well to remember that whatever will be will be. The outcome will be positive no matter what the outcome. If the outcome is less than favorable it still serves! There is always a gift in any situation particularly if it involves a challenge! Some of the greatest victories come from the mightiest challenges.
We need to keep focused on remaining emotionally detached from outcomes, keeping personal vibrations high through meditation and inner well being and growth. This has impact on those around and can help to shift the balance towards global awareness, global healing for the greater good of the whole.
