Defense Secretary demands funds for new nuclear weapons, offers veiled threats on testing

Hints that the Pentagon will restart nuclear testing in effort to prod Congress to fund new generation of weapons.
After making a comment the same day saying that Russia must reduce its nuclear arsenal, Defense Secretary Robert Gates called on the United States to begin testing its nuclear weapon program and fund a new generation of nuclear weapons.
The Bush Administration is at odds with Congress on a law that would authorize the funding for a Reliable Replacable Warhead project — the so called “next generation” of nuclear weapon designs.
“To be blunt, there is absolutely no way we can maintain a credible deterrent and reduce the number of weapons in our stockpile without resorting to testing our stockpile or pursuing a modernization program,” Gates told the Carnegie Endowment, where he spoke Thursday, according to prepared remarks posted by .
“In other words,” Wired’s Nathan Hodge remarks, “fund this thing, mothertruckers, or we start testing. The United States concluded the last full-scale underground test of a nuke in 1992, and declared an official moratorium two years later; a return to testing would be a really big deal. In a speech last month on the limits of U.S. power, he alluded � briefly � to the importance of RRW. That part of the speech earned few headlines, but for nuke-watchers, it was a telling moment.”
“Currently, the United States is the only declared nuclear power that is neither modernizing its nuclear arsenal nor has the capability to produce a new nuclear warhead,” Gates added. “The United Kingdom and France have programs to maintain their deterrent capabilities. China and Russia have embarked on ambitious paths to design and field new weapons.”
Congress has blocked funding for the initiative in the past. For the last two years, $89 million needed to determine the cost of building a new warhead was axed.

I was walking down the East sidewalk of Sheffield avenue right in front of Wrigley Field about 1 hour ago, and I crossed the street to the other side. about 30 seconds later a unmarked cop car, with cops in street cloths, stopped me got out of the car, searched me questioned me, asked if I was running from a crime. called me a skinhead(I have a full head of hair), asked what gang I was affiliated with ( I told them “my family and friends”) I asked why I was being searched and questioned and asked for my ID ( I don’t carry it anymore), and they said because I was in the street and I wasn’t allowed to be there ( I said “So I’m not allowed in the street now”) then they said they would take me to jail and that would take two hours for paper work and another 12 hours to process before I could get released. So I gave them my info, because I didn’t want to deal with any of that, and I have about 50 dollars to my name and would not be able to pay for a lawyer, and I knew they could hold me indefinately, or at least until after the elections, when this BULL SHIT SKIN HEAD CONSPIRACY IS OVER, I’m not buying that for a second, sounds like another excuse to stop people on the street. They even questioned my values when they had me explain my tattoo, and I told him it means don’t make your decisions afraid of past or future, learn from the past put don’t let it control you with fear. The “cop” said “well thats very zen-ish but we think about the future and providing. I laughed and said thats not me, and they finally said I could go. I then walked to my friends and was talking on the phone to my father, and when I got there and looked at the alley from the porch I saw the same cops pull up and try to hide behind a garage, I went inside and they left. The thing that really gets me is that my brother and my father, are brainwashed enough to try to make excuses for the cops. It all makes me sick, but I can only keep trying to wake people up to the massacre of the constitution, and the impending doom we are all about to face, if people don’t get a clue.
I was waiting for something like this to happen eventually, seeing it happening elsewhere, it was only about time till I was stopped and searched randomly. But there mistake was, I wasn’t afraid, and I’m not afraid, this will only motivate me more to tell others and gives me a little more evidence to show.

This is not Gates agenda or Bush’s agenda this is the agenda of those Secretive Non~Governmental Organizations(on both sides). They are planning future wars to depopulate the planet with limited nuclear weapons detonations. You can kill millions of people far faster with a war and change society to the specifications that will make people fall in line. When Barky becomes president or when McCain steals the presidency, war with Russia will be first on the agenda.

The vailed nuclear testing for upgrades to the nuclear arsenal has been fomented by Vladamer Putin because he and Russia have just tested a missile that is intercontinental(long range)and has a MERV (pre-programmed,ten nuclear warheads,guidance system) per missile.This is an indictation that an arms race has restarted between Russia and the U.S.over the placement of a missile defense system on Russia’s borders.What would you do?SonnyG

But please take the time to sit down and read. There is no money involved, no solicting, no charge.. just simple facts a 8 year old could comprehend if they can read and understand. The US has been the leading foe of nuclear disarment for awhile. It was about the same time that W. Bush came into office that talk of developing “mini-nuke” technology began circulating and I suspect that this “next generation” of nuclear weapons is an allusion to the same stuff they have been talking about for a while. The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff directed a report that rewrote the laws of US nuclear weapons use so that they are in total violation of all international laws and would repulse the American public had the changes been given the light of day. For example:
1) Geographic combatant commanders may request Presidential approval for use of nuclear weapons for a variety of conditions. Examples include:
(d) To counter potentially overwhelming adversary conventional forces, including mobile and area targets (troop concentration).
(e) For rapid and favorable war termination on US terms.
(f) To ensure success of US and multinational operations.

As a matter of fact THE COLD WAR from the 50’s and 60’s never really ended–it just became more of a “hot” war in the 90’s. The cold war just left the news and the media because communism fell in East Germany, but it never ended behind the scenes.

I think most wars are mainly staged for media propaganda. The real wars behind them will never be uncovered.

we must maintain a legitimate deterrent to all out war and the best deterrent we have is mad , or mutually assured destruction , nukes have kept relative peace and will continue to do so , we must continually upgrade nukes just as we would other aspects of our military , nukes are the most important part of our national security and the only reason the economic ponsee scheme that we foisted on the rest of the world did not initiate a new world war

EARL, God alone has kept us from using nuclear weapons up to this point. Man can never keep the peace. Look at all the wars that we have had up till now.
It is only by the invisible hand of God that we havent used nukes….. yet. According to biblical prophecy, there will be a nuclear war, and soon.
